Actually TH stated that you would see a Hyper Drive loading screen. I am glad they are at least doing that. I agree though I would probably get tired of seeing that screen after about 4 times. This gameis just dying for more media content (ie. intro movies, music, special Impire videos from factions Vader, Emperor). C'mon SOE this can be done and should not be that difficult to implement. The story arcs should definately be in FMV, CG, or in game graphics with actual spoken words not a comic book layout.

You just need an Engine & a Reactor to go to hyperspace.

Is there a way to turn off the hyperspace animation? It was really cool the first 10 times I saw it but... it's old. Is there any way to turn it off?

You'd rather just count 3...2..1...static loading screen? Thats so anti-climatic for what is a trademark of SW spaceflight. And anyway, the animantion is just about 3-5 seconds of your time and you don't get attacked during it (you did in beta for a while, till that was tweaked)...

I don't think there is a way to disable it, but it isn't a big pain to sit through

If you hit your booster right before you get to 100%, you will still be moving during the actual jump rather than come to a complete standstill.

See, I'm of the opposite opinion...

I'd rather have the Hyperspace effect while the data loads instead of the loading screen. And before someone says it couldn't be done, it's been done for years in AC with the portals, so yeah, it can.

The only time I could see this being a problem is on MP Ships, I can see how different load times could cause problems with clients knowing who is where, but since you are popped to viewing the cockpit during hyperspace anyway, it probably wouldn't make that big of a difference.

I like the hyperjump animation, i just want to get rid of the countdown!! you know, the 4,3,2,1, acctually, its more like....4 (screenfreeze lag) 3 (screenfreeze lag) 2 (screenfeeze lag) 1.... get the picture? lol!! My screen lags everytime i get a system message, annoying!

well not sure if this is a bug, but on TC i can hit my boost AFTER the 5..4..3..2..1 countdown starts, i comes in handy, but i dont think i could do this before, so it might be a bug who knows
