Thread: Grouping

First of all I just want to say this, please keep a positive tone (Or in the form of constructive criticism) on this forum. We try to keep a higher standard here. Thanks in advance.
Secondly, in regards to the 'solo group nerf' as you call it, the missions themselves did not change the only thing that changed was the rampant ability to make millions upon millions of credits a day because of the payouts. That's all that was changed and that was needed to rebalance the economy. That was a very good change for the game over all, but I will agree the timing was not the best.
I'm not going toreply to anything else as I don't want this thread to turn into a rant, which it has already became.
Didn't mean to have a negative tone. Sorry. Just saying that we don't know when the CU is coming or what it'll do.
And I know the missions remain the same. My point was, they SHOULD have changed them INSTEAD of changing the group payouts. I gave the example of changing mokk shamans and soothsayers to mokk rockshapers, which have 90% kinetic resistance. This would have made the missions take much, much longer, which in turn would have had the same effect as changing the way payouts are calculated. But it ALSO wouldn't have removed what little challenge terminal missions provided.
In other words, making the high level mission HARDER, instead of making them a waste of time, would have been a much better decision.
An ALT could quickly gather a full group in minutes. Especially with everyone in M.O. shouting "looking for solo group PST".

It will probably be nerfed rather quickly but with the introduction of the command to cycle between players (on test center) you can simply create a macro that invites everyone that comes near.

You can already do that now...
I consider myself the king of the macro and have never found a command that lets you "tab" between players. You normally have to click on them first and then you can tab between them.. But that eliminates the possibility of a group-bot.
I figure there are 3rd party utils that will click in one spot over and over but that is lame .

If someone was inviting people on the screen they had to either a) do it manually with point and click or b) they used a 3rd party macro utility that clicked the mouse over and over and did /invite. There is no way to do that in an in-game macro until last night's TC publish.
So, that being said, the new way is to just TAB between players and doing /invite over and over every few seconds. Basically everyone within about 64 meters of the player would get an invite. Sure you could piss people off but if you did the delay so that it invited every 30 seconds or something it would be less likely to upset anyone.
