My friends and I were having the same trouble... all of us are Imps on the ground... they chose Imp pilots, I chose neutral just to try it out.... we launch into space and can't see each other!!! did the waypoint thing to them... and nada... I'm confused on this one.

We launched as a group from the same terminal.... we also tried it while ungrouped from the same terminal...

any suggestions are appreciated.....

Different problem with grouping. Grouped with a guildie who is 1-2-1-1 and I'm 2-2-2-2. We can see each other, no problem there but he can't fire on my mission targets. Tried grouping in space before and after receiving the mission and from the ground with same results. Any clue as how to properly group?

Another quick question about grouping.... since I'm going the neutral route.. will my Imp buds and I still be able to group together and assist each other with missions??

This may be because the space you are entering is instanced. I suggest doing some missions before trying to fly with your friend, after the first few missions the instanced space missions end and you will launch and he will be there.

There is a group button, you have to click on that instead of the normal launch into space button

This has just litrally crossed my mind, but since the Solo group nerf, it seems to me that the game has become boring.

Let me try to explain before anyone skips to the wrong conclusion. Now, JTL was designed to introduce more teamwork. From my experiance thats worked out quite well. I have a YT and regularly go out with people blowing up hard npcs. But thats just space, and its really boring in space at master pilot and on the ground if theres nothing you can do.

I organised a Squill hunt a week ago, got a good turn out, but because of my high level (TKM) i wasnt needed at all. So was rather pointless in the end. Tbh id rather be sad and solo jantas for a day getting money than not play at all. Im sad enough now anyway with that SWG is really the only game i play now lol.

Now at the time i agreed to the solo group nerf. But since all thats come out of it is not getting money quicker, i reckon it should go back to normal. I mean, i havent noticed prices go down, ive seen them go up.

Likei said, when no 1 in your friends list is online the game can get pretty boring. Now im not 1 to not meet new people, but from what i see and hear, a lot of people feel the same way. We all cling to whats familliar, yes its a quote, cant rememberfrom what though.

It just would be nice for solo grouping to be put back or something that high level combatants can do without it being camped etc and able to solo it.

Its just nice to have a choice i feel.

Two words, Combat Upgrade.

It will change the game and bring it to an entirely new level for both grouping and soloing by giving every profession its place in combat, whether it be for the low level combatants or the high levels, everyone will have a place. It will bring teamwork back into the game on the ground that we already see back in space, but at the same time soloing will still be around too.

Solo groups should never, never be brought back. "Solo group" is an oxy moron and should have never come about in the first place. They were a testiment to the broken combat system and the only means to make a substantial amount of money. Now that they are gone, the motivation for them to group isn't there, but the Combat Upgrade will bring that back and make the game a LOT more fun at the same time. Soloing will still be preserved but you won't be able to go and take down the most feared creatures in Star Wars lore solo, and thats how it should have been all along I feel.

The recently announced Armor changes should be a testiment to the scope of what they're wanting to do as well as all the recent patches. In a few months this will be like a brand new game and it will be the best MMO out there. Just need a little more patience.

The almighty Combat Rebalance Upgrade...or whatever it's being called this week....Will hopefully bring back the fun to the game

I probably still won't PvP...But I will go on guild hunts and stuff a lot more.

The only thing that sucks about combat for me right now, is going out and doing more damage to myself then my target(s) do to me (Unbuffed, no armor) and the one lucky hit they get on me is almost invariably right when I am low in one of my pools. lol

THAT is something I am looking forward to with the <insert name of the week here> when it finally is released.

I firmly believe if the rumors I have been hearing are true, the <insert name of the week here> will make a lot of the combat people happy enough to stay around. At the very least, it will give people a reason to come up with new tactics in PvP to abuse. lol

When?

When will this mystical, magical combat upgrade take place?

Last I heard, they were planning on opening up alpha testing at a future date. I heard that, what, two months ago?

Lets be real. You sit there and start listing off all the wonderful things the combat upgrade is going to do. But lets face the facts. No one here hasany idea what the CU is going to do. It could make SWG an entirely new game. It could just make the jedi grind take longer, without really changing anything else. The only information we have is what the devs "want" to do with it. What they want to do and what they can do might be two entirely different things.

I wasn't really for solo groups, but it was stupid to take them away before the vaunted CU is even open to any form of public testing. You can't start chaning in game dynamics because a new system is coming, when you still have no idea when that new system will be ready.

The current combat system is broken, but it's the one we have for the forseeable future. Should we nerf buffs, armor, weapons, and special attacks, because the CU is coming sometime this year (hopefully)? No, you can't make changes like that until the new system is in place. If you did it now, combat would be impossible, because buffs and current armor and weapons are needed to funtion in the current system.

The only reason I was against the solo group fixis this...it eliminated what little challenge there already was in running missions from the terminals. I would have been MUCH happier if they'd, say, replaced Mokk shamans and soothsayers with rockshapers, who have 90% kinetic resists. That would have served the same purpose, AND give us melee types a little more challenge. You don't get rid of solo groups by screwing up the payout system. You get rid of them by making the high level missions too difficult to solo, or you make them take so long, that you can't do almost 100 of them in a buff session.
