Game has changed its date to Novemeber the 5th
And it didnt bother to e-mail me.
I even had a confirmation on sunday that it would be delivered on the 29th.
Time to root through the trade laws because thats against one of them.
If they won't deliver then screw SOE. Screw Lucasarts too I aint buying anything from them again if this is how they treat is Europeans.

Unfortunately you will find somewhere within their T's & C's something about release dates subject to change and things that are outside of their control. Basically you won't have any come back and you certainly won't be able to change when you get the game.
To play devil's advocate for a moment I suspect that you will find the release date changes are some kind of issue with the distributor and not directly SOE / Lucas Arts (although I am more than willing to be proven wrong). Don't get me wrong, I am annoyed with this too, but there is very little chance of anything being possible to actually change this. They really should have had a download option

This release date mess up has nothing to do with SOE. they can get the game out on time to the US with no problems. this is down to the UK distributer(Activision). what has probably happened is that, due to the release of the new grand theft auto on the 29th they have bumped, what the dumb corporate sales execs and retailers would consider a minor release further back to make way for the larger title.
I have seen this happen near xmas time when new highly anticipated material is released.they will bump one title back to make way for another.

Easy soultion to all of this is offer us a pay to download like all the games do this way we get it the same say as americans they make just as much money (which is what this whole thing is about im sure) and they cant say that cant do it because we had to download beta so theres no diffrence.

Just spoke to sendit.com who are still showing 29th October and they confirmed that the release has been put back a week by the distributors - they said they need to update their site to reflect correct date of 5th November.
It seems our only choices are to import from US or Europe (who I guess will use different distributors)

I don't feel like throwing money at the customs man, so I'm going to have to wait til 5th November
What I'm not going to do though, is put up with being charged £10 more by Amazon just because I ordered JTL a week ago, before they slashed the price to £16.99
There has to be some trading law against that...

you can cancel and re-order - there is nothing to stop you cancelling an order before it ships. I pre-ordered with Play and their policy is that if the price changes before release they will charge you whichever is cheaper - the release price or the pre-order price

The euro release is now pretty much official as the 5th of november.
if anybody finds any US retailers that can ship it out to us in the UK/euro by friday at not too much of an extra cost, pls post here so that we can all order.
best way to stick it to the braindead corporate fatcats at activision that dont know anything about games except that they are a good way of making a shedload of cash.
