They should get their deliveries tomorrow or thursday for a friday release. What has however already been pointed out has been confirmed elsewhere though ... they get a new copy of the release schedule tomorrow so all this information may have changed by then.

I've just spoke to Special Reserve on 0870 7259999 and he said that it is definately being released on the 29th of October and if its not that I can cancel my order.

Fraid not, mine was saying 22-23 Oct , but the email at the top is what i got when i asked where is it .

Is it just me, or is this getting stupid!!!!
I have read post after post regarding the european release dates and as yet we STILL have no answer from anyone at SOE.
Now i think we have all finally given up on the possibility of getting the pre-order free speeder. The only way to do this is to buy a copy of the game from the US and only gamestop supplies outside the US (for ashipping cost over the price of the game once you add in your local VAT) so sod that.
What is really getting on my nerves now is the fact we will once again be playing catch up to our american cousins,I bought "an empire divided" the day it was released in the UK and that happened to be the week the 1st jedi's started appearing on the servers. Now we all have to wait until the 6-8th November before we can purchase a copyof JTL..... ohh well back to playing catch up, come to think of it i may just buy one copy now for my main as the other copy was going to make one of my alts a shipwright. I don't see much point now as the crafters will have the biggest problem catching up.
I say delay the launch until the game is ready and shipped WORLDWIDE not statewide. It would be the only fair way of doing it UNLESS and this is one that really makes me laugh.... SOE (sony online entertainment!!) why the heck can't i pay for this game on the SOE site and receive the reg code via e-mail, then make it possible for me to download the game from the launchpad or alternate site. other games do it

Was your "my orders" thing still showing the October date for despatch after the date got changed to 5th Nov then?
Food for thought: when you click the order button, you enter into a two-way contract with the company you're buying from. Seems to me they're breaking that contract if they don't inform you personally (through "my orders" or an email (without you having to contact them first)) that they have had to change part of that contract (i.e. the dispatch date)...

hehe ... thats what you *think* ... good luck and congrats to you if it does, but from the digging around I have been doing I would kiss a mountain squill if it turns out to be true

I'm getting really annoyed with this now, originally had an order on play.com yet they have slipped release to the 5th November
I've now placed 2 more orders from companies that still say the 29th:
www.sendit.com £17.99
www.simplygames.com £18.89
also game has it as 29th still but I'm not gonna pay an extra £10 for it from them.
basically going to cancel one of them when I get billing confirmation from the other, if they both bill me then oh well I got 2 accounts anyway although will not be best pleased.
also I sent this email to SOE:
"Hi I was wondering if you could shed some light on the UK release date of JTL.
Yes website says 27th, CSR’s have always said 27th even when all the UK retailers said the 29th
Now the situation is that all the UK retailers (amazon.co.uk, play.com for example) have slipped the release date to the 5th November yet still your CSR’s say it will be the 27th!!!
Could you please stop holding out on us and let us know what’s going on! I’ve emailed and phoned every retailer here in the UK I could find and they don’t seam know for sure. Please either post some information on the forums or return my email so we know what’s happening."
