This isn't with the tax though as I'm not sure about that.

www.special-reserve.co.uk is still showing the 29th. But I'm awaiting the change and the /cancel order button to be pressed.

In my experience customs will whack whatever they see fit onto it, you could be lucky and get away with it, or you could find yourself with a nice bill waiting for you when you collect, it always seems to be a lottery (or at least it has been whenever I have ordered stuff in from the states.

The 5th is official. I managed to speak to a very nice lady at Activision. Her explanation was not quite the speculation that it's been pushed to not compete with GTA3 tho. She told me that they underestimated demand and don't have enough media to cover the demand, so have pushed it back a week to aquire further stock.
I've ordered from gamestop... hopefully they'll ship it today (only 9am for them when I ordered), so if I'm lucky I'll get it friday or monday... just have to keep my fingers crossed.
Of course, what would make many of us much happier is if SOE/Lucasarts put up an online purchase option to download JTL, but I guess that contracts with distributors causes problems with that (Vivendi Vs Steam anybody?)

I ordered from amazon.co.uk last week and I have the delivery date as 29th/30th. I have not received any email saying anything about delayed delivery. Maybe they have sold out and their 2nd delivery would arrive to you by 5th November.

I suspect that if you wait another day orso until you should get your e-mail saying that your copy of JTL has shipped you'll not get it.. and that when you mail them to ask where it is you'll get an e-mail similar to a number that have been posted on these forums today.. essentially saying 'sorry, now slipped to november 5th'
But I genuinely wish you luck on getting it for the 29th, but from speaking to the UK distributor (who are the people who send it out to amazon so they can send it to you), amazon won't have any.

Well the release dateon the JTL pageon amazon.co.uk states the release as 5th November, which means amazonwill NOT be sending out copies before then.

This is completly stupid.
The whole point of pre-ordering is so that the publishers get advanced warning on how many people want the game. dont they count how many people have pre-ordered the game? usually the amount of people who pre-ordered = the amount of games needed. I cant believe SOE managed to fudge another thing up by choosing an incompetant publisher to publish their games.

Oh for the love of all that is hairy!!!!!! That is even more annoying that the San Andreas reason.
"Well we might not have enough for everyone, so that means none of you get it and any aspiring Shipwrights in the UK can kiss their market share goodbye because the American & some European players will now have a 2 week headstart on you" .
This is not a flame at anyone but whoever at Activision made that decision.
Bring back Ubisoft all is forgiven
