I would guess that you need JTL to get into the Yacht.
Can you buff/mind buff/heal bf/wounds on the Yacht? Would be a good place to go to get a group together then shuttle down into a city all at once to battle!
Oooh, nice idea. Not to mention great way to escape as well between fights for healing and re-buffs!

Oh, and to everyone worried about not paying for 6 months strait and not getting the reward, I asked a csr about having a 3-5 day period where my account is not active,he said I'll still get it. You just can't have like a 60-day break and expect to get it.![]()
You qualify - - we allowed for things like that when we coded the veteran flags...not a lot, but just enough for people who ran into situations like this.
I'd just use my Yacht as my storage.
Incidentally a good friend of mine who is reletivly anti gameing because of her ex-boyfriend digs the idea of being a personal danceing slave on my Yacht....
Oh life is good.
First I assume the Yacht is a way, to have many people enjoy MP Ships, right at launch.
But its not a good reward, because it will become obsolete for the vast majority.
A way out of it -
could be that, once you hit Master you can upgrade the ship as any other Multiplayer ship, install turrets etc. This way it is an option even late in the game.
One would get a Cert regardless of your Pilot profession (like it was planned with the YT1300, although you might consider to change a Detail on the hull, that is different for Imps, Rebels or Privateers, to have a way to visually tell them apart)
Otherwise its a lot of work, for something that doesnt fullfill its potential.
And it seems like an easy enough change.
What do you think?

TH, it would help if you cleared up the limitation with the Yacht.
Does furnishing the Yacht mean
If it's just a matter of furnishing, then that's not too bad. You can furnish the Yacht in exchange for having an empty YT1300.
- you simply can't furnish another multiplayer vehicle, or
- you can't use another multiplayer vehicle at all?
But if it stops you from using any other MPV at all, I have to agree that this will be barely used at all, or only by crafters. That's a pity given the gorgeous artwort that went into it. And while I'm glad to see a benefit for crafters, it's not much reward to a non-crafter who has been a paying subsciber since launch.
Why do you people keep saying this? why will everyone have 2 multi-pass ships no one here has answerd this yet.
There are somethings to think about:
1. not everyone will need 2 multi-pass ships.
2. if you want to fight in space you will not do it on your own in a multi-pass ship.
3. if your going to have a party in space would would not do that on your own in a multi-pass ship.
4. at most people will need 1 multi-pass ship to have fun.
5. JTL is not all about combat. (well it is at the start but non combat stuff might be added latter)
Now i have a question if in the future the devs add another multi-pass ship to each of the piloting profs are going to buy them both or would you just pick one of them?

Will I be able to take people who have not purchased JTL on my ship or not?
Not a stupid question.. any account that is 6 months or over. (not character just account)

this may be a stupid question... what's considered veteran? how long must one have had an active swg account to be considered a veteran?
