agreed ... just dont bother handing them out. They will all be deleted.
It can do nothing but look pretty ... but it cannot be decorated or you cannot launch your ship that can do something else. UTTERLY WORTHLESS!

Hey TH one more question.
i am assuming that the Yacht will be rewarded specifically by account age.
so does this mean if i delete my main character on my account that has been active since 6-26-03 to say make an ithorian, will i still have get my yacht?

How about making an item cap accross all multiplayer ships.. So if the cap was 250, you could have 125 items on each of your ships.
That would seem to be a better idea than having to undecorate a MP Ship to use another MP Ship. If it would be possible to just have an overall cap MP Ship Items Cap, I hope that they would reconsider doing it that way. Although I don't think it will be a huge issue since most people will probably only use one MP Ship, and use the rest of their Datapad Space for fighters (assuming it's limited to a low number, which I do not know.)
Ah, nevermind, TH said he would try to look into alternatives while I was typing this.

Someone brought up a very important question... Why wasn't the flash speeder a veteran reward?

Man, can you people complain anymore. Not everyone has to have 2 multiplayer ships, maybe you wouldn't want 2 multiplayer ships. I haven't seen the ship cap, but if it is 3 or less I highly doubt you would want 2 multiplayer ships.
So for a small segment maybe 5% of the vets, there is an issue of not being able to switch between a Sorosuub and Yt-1300. That is such a small segment.
Also, think about what this really is. It is a pair of goggles. They can't give us something indestructible that has a ton of utility in the game. I am still curious how they are gonna have the naboo speeder work.
This is a nice special use item/limited functionality item. If you care to use it there are drawbacks. If you don't want to use it that is your choice.
Yes it would be nice if we got some cool very useful vet rewards, but we won't. Vet rewards will always been window dressing, or else it would lead to imbalance in the game.

The ship is not worthless. you seen those huge windows you could watch space battles going on outside from them (if space races ever became possible it would be great to watch from 1 of those)

Actually this is a great for all the non combat players out there. Not everyone will want to go out and fight.

personally, I'm not going to be getting the yt-1300, and ill be waiting till the end of november when I get this ship. I'll just have all my fun in a single player craft for awhile. that is unless, being in beta grants me 1 wish. then i'd wish for this.

Space weddings
transporting raiding parties from one planet to another
traveling shipwright store
Tons of uses for this, just not any combat uses.

Mkappus I think we have a right to complain. If we didn't complain then the devs would go on thinking that they are doing a super job. We players are just concerned that this great ship idea will become usless.

Please consider other options! For example, you could require us to donate lots to additional mp ships. I will gladly fork over a couple lots if it means I can decorate an extra mp ship.
Great idea! This is a great way to resolve the database problem that the Devs have and our desire to decorate an extra MP ship.
Realistically, that is a very difficult thing to implement. Remember, it wouldnt just "toggle" - - the idea of toggling with a database is "magic land" talk that just doesn't work in the real world. The items have to exist in the database somewhere whether you can see them in game or not.
*IF* there is a do-able solution, I will work with the team to find it. If there isn't an easy solution, then this rule will have to stand.

I'd rather have a pair of goggles and a useful ship.

Little late in the beta game to be just now considering an alternate.
The ship being invulnerable, and non-upgradeable, also not being able to leave it decorated if one wants to use a different multi-player ship, it kinda makes this veterant reward, totally and absolutely worthless. And on top of that, it leaves the possibility of it being an exploitation problem...
