i "hope" we can walk around the insides of the larger ships. But i have a feeling it will be more like a hardpoint system.
ships can carry multiple passengers, but once on the ship, they choose a station to sit at. could be a lounge seat or a gunner's station. they cant move around, change from just picking another hardpoint from the radial menu.
but i don't see why there wouldn't be gunner stations on ships that can carry more then one gun mount on them.

I don't see it being possible to walk around a ship in flight. If they were able to implement anything involving multiple people on one craft likt the YT-1300 it would have to be instanced like the Corvette mission. There would be no pilot the craft would just travel through space on it's own for X amount of time. You would be able to move around from place to place in the ship....but that's it really. I wouldn't think they could have PC ships like this interact either. There could only be NPC encounters in a system like that. Personally I still think it would be fun if they could do something like that.

I'm glad it's twitch based too. I just heard that the number of broadband people has grown exponentially in the last year, and that we can finally abandon those cheap-o 56kers. Now online gaming is going to get REALLY interesting.
If SWG was completely twitch based, it'd be the greatest game ever. Period.
I don't have the time (or the desire) to learn every little stat, every macro (which isn't gaming anyway), spend years building a character, etc. I've finally realized that MMOs won't bring in casual players until they become more like twitch based 'instant satisfaction' type of games. Combat should feel like combat, not dice rolling. Modifiers should come into play as far as movement speed, reload times, weapon certifications, etc. So there can still be advancement.
We were told that even newbies who were lucky could take down an advanced character. What a joke that's turned out to be.
If the space expansion is twitchy, then maybe we'll see more twitchy MMOs. SWG2 better be really twitchy, or I'm not buying. I was seriously considering cancelling my membership until I saw this announcement. Let's see...
Awesome! Glad we finally got some info. As long as there is an actual cutscene when moving from starport to space rather than just a status screen as there is now I will be happy.
P.S. Now taking applications for Wookie sidekicks.
