Oh everyone know EVERY mission is soloable, and only PvP is a challenge this thread must be a fake.

You're missing the point. A casual gamer shouldn't be forced into grouping with someone if they like to solo. I'm a power-gamer and even I like to solo, and quite often. One person's enjoyment of the game shouldn't be made to suffer by forced grouping.

OK, after you have retrieved the fake list, some ships will spawn trying to take you out, butyou can hyper out to safe location in Dathomir without killing any of the ships. After hyperspacing, just proceed to the new waypoint. The only hard part is after you've done the escort, youmust hyperspace out to vit or some other location as soon as possilbe otherwise some non-mission Tier 5 ships will tear you apart.Begin hyperspace procedure as soon as you see the Tier 5 ships, don't wait for the mission update. The final part where you have todeal witha nova cruiser is actually not that difficult because it's only surrounded by Tier 1 X-wings. Anyways, this missionwas definitelysoloable before the new AI chagnes, and that's how I did it. I gotit the secondtry; got killed byTier 5 shipsin the first attempt. But now, with the new changes in ship AI, it might be difficult.

Are you talking about the 2nd or 3rd mission? I'm confused. I thought he was talking about the 3rd one.

I'm 3332 in the Inquisition and I solo'd it after trying to find someone to go with me, but failing. I'm not sure how far you've gotten so I'll go through the whole set of missions. I started by hypering in from CNET airspace to the second Dath hyperpoint on the hypermap. After you dock and get get the fake plans you will start towards the new waypoint. About 30 seconds into your journey you'll be jumped by a wing of X-wings, and then a wing of A- wings. Hyper to the first Dath waypoint without trying to kill the enemy, you'll fight em again later even if you kill them now. You'll still be in Dath airspace so you won't fail the mission, plus your now only 3k away from the WP. When you get there you will have to stay close to the WP to transmit the signal at 5% increments. You'll have 4-5 waves attack you. Instead of trying to kill them all I disable their engines by targeting the engines with [ or ] and leave them after they are disabled. After you are through transmitting the signal you will need to finish off any stragglers. The next mission is to killfive lvl 4 X-wings by using the same disable method and then going back and killing them off. After the X-wings are gone you need to go to a new waypoint on the other side of the Dath system to help a transport that is having problems. Simple escort mission with about seven waves of X-wings, B- Wings, Y-wings, A-wings, rinse and repeat. Once again I did the same ol' disable and go on. After all of these waves are over you have to meet another transport, dock, and fight off four waves. When the last enemy is dead you get a mission to transport the docs you just picked up to Naboo airspace, fight a few easy waves, and your done.
By disabling the enemy you don't get any goodies (loot), but you finish the mission. Enjoy this mission, cause the next one is alot harder. I have tried with a wingman who is in an Agressor and failed four or five times.

Why would you bring pvp into this we have enough flame wars about that. Noone ever said every mission was soloable... 2/3 of them are though for the record.
Well it is what I was told by folks like you. Weren't you even one of the "I soloed the Vette" ones? You may not but you were one that was very clear that PvE was no challenge and it was ALL soloable.
I had trouble with the first two missions to get back to being serious, but with one wingman I have done the last 2 teir 3s and the first Teir 4 with no real issues. If your decent and dont get alot of lag the missions are quite doable as a duo, but the more you get the easier it is.

It's a bit tiring to constantly hear, "This is a group game". So what? Many people come at different hours because they have no choice and sometimes their friends aren't on-line. So are they suppose to log out or sit and wait for a group?
Please!
Others aren't in a guild nor want to be, again so what? Many guilds are ghost towns because of either departures or in-house bickering. Again so what?
This is a game plain and simply and people wil play it according to how they see fit. So all you know-it-alls who constantly run the same stupid line, "This is a group game", so what?
It's sickening already, enough!

I have the same problem that you do. I have a tough time finding anyone to act as a wingman for me.I think your bigger problem than not being able to do your missions is your apparent lack of friends....
Don't listen to these brainwashed fanbois (this one seems to be their king, some kind of UberBoi). Just because it's an MMO doesn't mean you have to run around trying to make friends with every toon you see. Hell, most of these dysfunctional morons only experience of a "friend" comes from the virtual world (a dog eared 12 year old Darth Vader figure you've named "Pally Pal Pal" doesn't NOT count as a friend!) so it's no surprise they run around on these forums trying to tell you how sad YOU are because you don't have any virtual "friends." Boo freakin' whoo fanbois, some of us have lives we have to lead. This game is a casual form of ENTERTAINMENT, so make it casual or it will casually go down the toilet.

Unable to find anyone myself, I just attempted a Tier 3 mission. Again. I was doing pretty well, but I got blown out of space again anyway. Now, to all you groupie/guildie/all-do-things-together people, my options are:
1. Get into a group - Sorry, I don't have an hour to wait around for some random pilot I don't even know. I have a limited amount of play time and wasting it looking for a random wingman is not how I'm going to spend it.
2. Well then, get into a guild with pilots, make friends. - I am in a guild. The pilots weren't online. Guess I gotta wait for them? But they won't be on until I am gone. Hmm. And I really don't have any other friends. I'm not exactly open to to befriend just anyone instantly. Plus I'm not on enough to really expand my nice, small list of friends. Darn.
3. Plan a group event to go do the mission - Can't. I have a very wacky schedule and planning is impossible. So do my friends. Also, I'm on very little and at odd times of the day/night. Real life stuff comes first, game comes second. I guess I'm not hardcore enough, eh?
I have been unable to advance for about two weeks now because of the wall I've hit with these missions. I have enough XP to start learning more stuff but I'm gated. So I'm stuck. And for us losers with no friends or insta-groups or time to find groups or whatever it really sucks.
But I guess it doesn't matter. I guess us casual light players are, well, the minority. I suppose I will eventually get lucky and fly with my pilot friend and pass those missions, but until then...

I am currently 3322 in the imperial inquisition. I am doing the deliver a fake list mission. I've done it about 21 times now. Some will say that I should have understood before that this mission is non-soloable but I just can't understand why a casual gamer should have to sit in the emperor's retreat for 1 or 2 hours to wait for a better pilot that will be willing to help you?!

Atleast the people in your group in KOTOR wouldn't go LD, or hyper out to who knows where never to return...

Really a minority?, i would like to see a poll about that, the game must be soloable for casual players, there are a lot of people, who want/need to play solo for a great amount of different reasons, we pay the game and the monthly fee as the rest of players, and that`s not a teamplay game, Battlefield 1942, BF Vietnam, MoH, Counter Strike, this games are teamplay games where you have real matches against others guilds, where you need a lot of team play (and skill) to win, and even those games are funny if you are solo.
This is a multiplayer game, a game where you can make a lot of things with real players in a persistent world, but ¿being forced tomake groups?, why?...and something i don`t understand...Why SOE "throw stones to their own windows"?, they want less players in galaxies, or more?, isn`t this game a bussines?, they want a game just for guilds and full-time players?.
JTLS is twiched based, and i think some people like me wants to play a space simulator like this, and we usually play solo, plz Devs dont force us to make groups, dont force us to cancel our account, because we can`t advance on our missions, some of us just want to play PVP, and we are forced to do all the PVE stuff, and right now with the lastpatch its a lot harder.
By the way...Why PVP players are forced to play PVE, and if PVE players are forced to play just a 5 % of PVP, dev`s heads are under a great danger?...why things must be forced?
JTLS was a great idea to open the galaxies world to other kind of players, i bought galaxies and JTLS (and i dont like so much galaxies, i hate sandwich combat), but your a going to break this...what a pity.
I hope to see before i get bored, that you can make solo all the PVE missions, you are solo, you have some enemies...you are in a group with10 players, then harder and numerous enemies...just that.

Want the simple answer?
Make some friends and take them up with you. SWG is NOT a single player game.. get used to it
