Pause don`t work with PVP, the exploit is clear, you pause when you are loosing and go to bed...
I can accept you say you can exploit with PVE, but please, at least say how...
You have your OWN enemies, they don`t shot other players, other players cant shoot them, you and your OWN group of enemies, in your OWN mission (instanced then), get freeze, and dissapear from space for other players, when you unpause just restart the action in the same point (you dont recover shields).
Maybe is a problem with PVE if grouped, you cant freeze all of your group, andthe actioncant wait for you, a way to exploit if you are near to die.
But i dont see how exploiting if you are solo in your PVE mission, or how can negatively afecct other players,and dont seems difficult to code.
Pause cant be inmplemented when you are interacting with (or against) others players, but weneed a long way till you can PVP, and a lot of people without guilds, just casual players,are doing lonely PVE, and thats the same than a single player game, the only thing that afect other players is to eventually see, 1 player and various enemies dissapearing or appearing.
If i can see as a rebel, tie fighters around me, and we cant shoot each other, i think we can live with this too.

I can sympathasize with not being able to play the game because of real life distractions. I have many of the same ones myself. I have a son and a wife, plus I'm a full time student.
My play time is limited to either the middle of the day between classes when I don't have studying to do or late at night when everyone else has gone to bed.
While I find pause appealing on single player games or console games, I think it'd be a disaster in a MMORPG. To get it to work, you couldn't use it when grouped with friends. That'd only take one of the "M's" out of MMORPG.
I think the check points for various stages of the mission would be better for this type of player.

Umm this is never going to happen and I think I can speak for SOE on this one. You cannot pause a multiplayer game. WHy not, the simple fact is that things are going on around you. Doing this would also pause your group and thats not going to happen. All multiplayer games cannot be paused bottom line nor will they ever be. Now if your peer to peer and you both pause the game thats something different.. Not ever going to happen in SWG

Since this is an odd petition, I'd like to request that they add in the konami code for those of us that don't really feel like playing the game.
U,U,D,D,L,R,L,R,B,A,B,A,Select, Start. I think it would be much more helpfull if I had unlimited ammoand infinite1ups.
Also, a god-mode where I didn't take any damage would let me be a lot more productive in both space and on the ground. It's so irritating when you actually take damage in pvp or pve.
Since there is an economy we have to deal with and I would rather be rich without doing anything, I think that they should definetly add a / command that gives you more money. Make it something tricky though like "/cashforme <amount>"
Since I'm still trying to beat the game I was wondering if anyone else had beat it yet. I bet theres a pretty sweet CG movie and plot twist at the end. Also I heard rumors that there are multiple endings depending on how many times you beat it. Can anyone confirm that?

As i said, i dont have time to play 1-2 hour with a mission, without left just 2 minutes, and i dont have time to loose with unmature childs and their unmature answers neither, i have enough with my babie.
Still didn´t found someone who gives me aCONCRETE reason,that justify why pauseis a problem, when you are SOLO and with PVE (instanceced single player game, except others can watch you), i have no problem to say "you are right, cant be done, didnt thought that"
It´s easy just say "can´t be done"

Don't listen to some of these morons. The only thing they know how to do is come up with stupid insults. Any time anyone posts here, expect idiots to come up with put-downs, its all they ever learned.
Maybe a save or pause can't be done but check points or a way to go around having to re-do ridiculously long missions should be implemented.

Bottom line you cannot pause a live game over the internet. SWG is live and things move in real time. If you pause that means that monster that could aggro you wont be able to. Understand it or not, this is never going to happen. DROP IT it has nothing to do with SOE or SWG...

Who exactly are you refering to, because I dont see anyone saying anything that isnt true here. I think maybe its time you look in the mirror before you open your mouth!

Stupidest thing I've heard all day.
I have a wife and a 2 year old and work 8am to 5pm 5 days a week. I get home spend from 6-8pm with the wife and kid. Kid goes to bed at 8pm then I get to play from 8-10 or 11pm or whenever I decide to go to bed.

my thoughts exactly, lol. That be funny if I get a tell every 5 minutes saying I need to stop because so and so needs a bathroom break and has paused the game, lol.
