Han: "Ten thousand, all in advance."
Luke:"TEN THOUSAND! We could almost buy our own ship for that!"
lol, Sorry Luke somehow I don't expect ships to be around 10k, when swoops go for 30k or so.
Im kinda wishing I wasnt on bloodfin, cause we have just about one of the the worst economys i think, with super high inflation.
Im hoping ships will be at the most 200k.

i hope its not similar to vehicle crafting.
again, my own thoughts here. The actual spacecraft will be crafted the same as vehicles, except instead of Hitpoints there will be hull integrity. and as far as the components go, that is where I think weaponsmith-like crafting will be put in. Makes sense, don't it?

well im planning on being a master shipwright/starshipengineer on kettemor and am planning on haveing some set prices for the ships when i first look at resource amounts, and i would think basic ships being at MAX 50k and advanced fighters being maybe, and i say maybe 200k MAX. more likely 125-150k. and multi person ship will be250k-275k MAX (see a pattern, each about 100k more)
1 mil for a ship is outrageous. if parts are seperate then...hmmm im not sure maybe 5000 a piece if they are good, 10000 if they are so amazing they could pwn the deathstar, and 100 (for the first bit mind you) for the essential parts you need to fly. cause that way u can fly right away for just a 1000 or 2 extra credits then the ship deed(assuming it is that way)
and then i plan to have a JTL celebration sale till the start of November and basically i cut all those prices in half to establish my coustemer base.except for the 100 cr essential parts...that will always be that
now bieng as this is an SOE game my above prices are....wait for it....'subject to change at any time'
btw i am on dant near athena city if you are on kettemor server...in game name is Metric

"17 000. We could almost buy our own ship for that"
"But who's gonna fly it kid.. you?"
"But who's gonna fly it kid.. you?"
My point is simple.. since i returned to play Galaxies (its been a year) i noticed that credits aren't what they used to be.. see, when i used to play you could buy some clothes, a vehicle, take a shuttle and then buy a factory for a fair amount of credits.. but now that everyone's been hanging around for a while my 700k just isn't good enough.. pfft.
Let's fix the economy..

Honestly its hard to say what ships will go for till people see what the resource costs are durning the beta and release. I would say the first couple weeks to the first month prices will be high then after that we will start to see a normal price range. I would guess around 200k for the high level ship models and then a assortment of prices for the upgrade for ships.

I think in the long term, ships will be cheaper than a lot of people think, afterall everything from Xwing to Tie Interceptors, and even the YT-1300 are generic hull designs, which everyone who mastersthe shipwrite profwill eventually have access to, and there will be alot of them. The real place money should be made isin the modifications, hyper-drives, advanced weapons, shields, etc, this is where customers will really see the realquality of the shipwrites, and dont forget the amout of people who get killed in-space will need to buy replacement parts. Not that im suggesting that 250k is anunreasonable price for advancedships, butyou start going beyond that it limits the customer base.
Butthere is actuallyno information on how easy ordifficultitis, andwhereshipwrites will get their resources, which is usuallythe determining factor for the cost of objects, willit be the standardplanetary mining or will youhave togatherthem from space, either astroids, or extracting steller gasses from the numerousnebulas, to really exploit the expansion, or combinator of thetwo. And a question on how the game will effect the whole galaxies economy, since there is no info on the general rewards for missions, im willing to bet that it because the moreun-predictablenature of the missions will highter, than more contained ground missions. Which will effect cost.

One auxilary power unit slightly used .... 10k credits
Hyperdrive from old freighter dented and scratched but still in working condition....50k credits.
Plasma weapon array from moth-balled imp cruiser....35k credits
Knowing you now have a working Deathstar.......Priceless !
Everyone else need not bother getting credit cause aint no place left on planet after target practice.
Never leave home without your Deathstar because you never know when you might run out of cash and need massive destructive power to convince others to give you theirs.

Some of you lot make dont make sense. People are willing to pay 250-500k for a disposable set of armour, but balk at similar prices of a bloody non disosable SPACESHIP that unlocks a whole new aspect of the game!
I think your in for a shock.

I want the more expensive ships to be about a mil or two. That's real starwars hanging in a cantina bragging about how old and expensive your ship is and how many adventures it has been throug.
