Stop complaining abotu not being able to solo. You know, thses complains wouldn't even BE here with JtL if the ground game wasn't turned into a solo fest with uber armor and buffs. Everyone is so use to solo missions it makes me sick.

You want to solo? Fine, solo. However, don't come crying that the mission becomes 10x easier if you swallow your pride and get some friends to back you up.

Are you in a guild? Do you not know ANYONE that would help you? Have you even tried to get a group? Or just bitching?

I've grouped to do most of my missions and I'm a 3-3-3-3 pilot. After a WEEK of playing. So please, stop crying as if the sky is falling. After another week or two, everyone and their mother will be a master pilot of some kind.

How can you know my mother is grinding my pilot while I'm at work?

I like the missions, my thing is do the missions need alittle toning down.
Or do player ships need alittle toning up, I was out doing my 2nd tier 3 mission tonight.

After my first I picked the skill so I could fly a TIE Interceptor, figuring that would help me alot with my other missions. I could not be more wrong, all it turned out to be was a TIE with alittle more mass. And out on my 2nd mission, I was being out turned by Ywings???
I just dont understand that myself, I also ran up on some random spawns of rebel spys, in TIE fighters. Oh that was a joy, here I am in a Interceptor, and I cant out fly or turn a regular TIE?

I really have liked the missions so far, some I have had to redo not a big issue.
But I dont like that fact you have to complete the missions to get trained.

u know whats funny cyberdata? i imagine u read most of these posts and missed the point entirely. join a guild? get a group of friends? are u not listening? i've messed around in guilds and i hate them. i love flying solo and playing solo except when im with my in-game wife. yeah i just tried the mission again and got nailed again but this time i found the weakness and next time i expect to beat it.... but why am i not being rewarded for the effort put into it? im currently 200k xp over training requirements for my next box... why? what purpose does that serve. and what the hell is wrong with hundreds of master pilots flying around zapping the hell out of each other in pvp once they've reached the apex of the profession. whats wrong with hundreds of jedi carving each other up with lightsabers. ifall of u dont want to watch it then maybeSOE will just have to make a world/space lanefor elite playerswhere onlythe best dare enter.whats the deal with trying to preserve every freaking detail in the starwars storyline? that story has been told, its done its over. whats going to happen when we reached the plot... aka return of the jedi phase? are we all going to crowd intothe deathstar and watch vader hurl the emporer over the rail? then what?is this the point at which we will finally be allowed to break loose of these stupid DEV imposed barriers.

The only problem I have with grouping to do something in space (at the moment) is that when you all launch from the same place, you may not all end up in the same place. (the random placing not only out in space, but also between the 2 instances of space for each planet.)

So....you play an MMORPG, yet you hate people. That's an oxymoron if I ever saw one. Are you the type of person that willingly goes to a party just to sit in a corner by yourself? So tell me then, why do you hate groups? Exactly what about being in a group bothers you? Should a player have access to all content solo? Should you be able to solo a Krayt? Should you be able to solo the corvette? SWG was built as a solo and group based game. It's only since players have been spoiled by the ground game that they start griping about actually having a challenge in space. By the way, how long have you been playing SWG? Were you around at launch when players had to group to fight anything toughter than a wort?

You couldn't solo the mission. Fine. But you seem to be willing to expend so much energy here griping about it when you could put 1/10th the effort into finding a buddy to help you do the mission. You're telling me the way you want it. I'm telling you the way it is.

You think THIS is forced grouping. Give me a damned break. Go play Final Fantasy for a month....then come back here and tell me how "hard" SWG Solo players have it. Pffft. I'm in a P.A. with roughly 25 sctive members. Each and every one of them that bought JtL will get their Master Pilot title. It might take them a while since some aren't the grinding type and want to pace themselves and do things on the ground too. But they will get there. Why? Because we are "uber l33t"? No. Not at all. Because we have the ability to function as a unit. Grouping for us isn't an issue. Someone can't beat a mission? They don't cry about it on the forums, they simply type that they need help in group chat and a few of us that an hour or so out of our gametime to help them. Problem solved. You are NOT a God. You are mortal in space. You can't buff your ship. Either beg SOE to tone down the missions, or adapt and get a group going. But I promise you this, one of those two choices will take MUCH longer than the other.

The fact that u must complete a mission before u are given the chance to level up is stupid.

The fact that u must group to even have a chance at becoming "master pilot" is even more insane.

Think about it.... if u need help achieving master have YOU really mastered the profession? NO.

I realize this is a MMORPG. Thats fine. But we alreadyinteract on so many other levels of the game besides profession grinding.

Forcing us tounit to pursueprofessions islame.

Yeah there were never a billion jedi running round in the films.

Yeah life in the starwarsgalaxy was hard.

But I dont think Luke Skywalker spent 10 years cashing in game xp for force xp... those ratios are completely wack.

Why are the DEVSso damned afraid to let us turn our playing experience into what we feel it should be?

Seriously.... Have u ever seen so much garbage written about a game by its own players? Think bout that... We all joined to HAVE FUN. How much fun are we really having? This is stress, this isn't fun.

"I just spent the last 2 hours trying to do this..."

"Somebody please help me! Thismission isimpossible!"

How often have we heard things like this? Enough already.

MESSAGE TO THE DEVS!

Turn us loose... Let the players determine what our galaxies will be, not you. LUCAS had his films and his galaxy... no let us have ours.

NO MORE MISSIONCOMPLETIONS BEFORE U CAN LEVEL UP (space)

-why can't we teach each other anyway?

NO MORE GROUPING TO BE ABLE TO MASTER PROFESSIONS (space)

-if u have to do this u really haven't mastered anything

AND QUIT TRYING TO DENY USOUR CHARACTER PROGRESSION IN A REASONABLE TIME FRAME
-it shouldn't take 4 years just to fill 6 force branches in the JEDI profession
-yes the requirements should be high and it should be difficult but we shouldn't feel like we are hitting a brick wall... cut the xp conversions ratios in half.

Wait until you get to the master mission, its probably impossible to do unless you just happen to have a groupFULL of almost-master pilots in kessel as it pops up, even then you may all die or it will escape before you kill it. We are gonna have servers full of bored 4444s.

I ranted and raved about the missions so many times in beta and i got one starred everytime.. I still think its a bad idea to gate your training be-cause you havent competed a mission.
