How many quenkers did you have to kill to master a combat profession? Is it really any different? 30 TIEs vs 600 quenkers?

Did you even read the original post? I clearly stated that I had AN ENTIRE WEEK OFF FROM WORK. Read the post.

Juusman - I can grind out 7.5mil exp over several months, doing what I feel like when I feel like it. I don't have to do it all at once. This is why I want the option.

Hakai - Pilot is a base prof. It is not Jedi. It is suppossed to be attainable by casual players, not just the uber elite hard core players. And yes, I want it real bad, but I don't want to spend the next six months trying to get it because of jerks ganking me in a pvp zone. There is not a single other profession in the game that requires such a hard core requirement to gain a box, not even Jedi (Could be wrong on this, not sure how hard the Paddie trials are).

All I am asking for is the OPTION to get the 7.5mil and get the box. I am probably going to do it the hard way, because it would be cool to get the Ace jacket, but I feel for the players who are never going to be able to get that box, because everyone who plays this game wants to be able to fly a multi-player ship that can be used in combat, and most want access to the other ships and components available at this level. The devs should just make it an option, either do the missions or get the exp.

The meaning of victory is not to defeat your enemy but to
destroy him, to eradicate him from living memory, to leave
no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his every
achievement and remove from all record his every trace of
existence. From that no enemy can ever recover.
That is the meaning of victory.

"When Sony and Lucas set out, we said, How can we do this and not make another EQ? We didn't want it to be all about Luke, or combat, or lock our players into a class. So we created a system that would allow players to switch professions during the game, and there would be a lot of gameplay around making that change. If you want to go from architect to scout we've created a system to make that happen."

Whoa there Norr. Have you not read the other three dozen posts about this? Many Many Many people are complaining about ganking in the pvp zone. They want it moved. I am not even asking for that. I am asking that we have the option to get the 7.5mil to get the box. Also, Pilot is not some uber elite profession. It was not designed to be like jedi. It was meant to be played by everyone, casual and hard core players alike. And btw, did you read the original post? I said I had the entire week off and that is the ONLY reason that I was able to level so fast. You are the second person who ignored this very important sentence in my original post. And let me tell you something else, I have played since launch, with a hiatus during the clone ground wars. I have mastered only 3 profs in this time, because I can 't spend uber hours playing in most cases. So, know the player before you flame. Oh, and try to make a logical argument, don't just put forth so much drivel, like the whole "You don't put in the time, you don't deserveit." I can see this argument forJedi, but not the base prof of Pilot.

^^^/agree

This aint mastering marksman or XPing med on tumblers.. Welcome to the real world of arcade. Fustrating yes? Rewarding though when you finally accomplish something in arcade by luck, skill, mircale or all of the above.

If your mission was too hard, too long, too fustrating too w/e for you ppl, land and do something else. Or logout for a while. The main difference with twitch is it exhausts you. You can only excell at twitch for so long in one sitting. Its like road fatique. You cannot accomplish the mission if your mentally exhausted, so take a break, and try it again the next day, when your rested.

What all these broken hearts need to realize is, every time you try the mission, your XP'ng and looting on the mobs you take out b4 you fail the mission, and should be getting better through practice.

So stop all this crying that it was a pointless waste of time, you've probably looted the part your ship needs to beat the mission and don't even know it...

No, I have not looted some uber part that is going to miraculously let me beat off ganking players and continueon to kill 30 TIEs.I will say this again. Pilot is a base prof. Heck, we could even consider it an Elite Prof. But, it is notan Uber elite prof.As acasual player I should be able to attain this rank just asany otherplayer, hard core orcasual. This is not Jedi. It is pilot, a profession on the level of commando and bounty hunter. Casual players should be able to achieve this benchmark, even if it takes them ten times aslong as a hard core player. They should not be forced to fend off PCs in trying to accomplish this thing. No other prof works like this, not even Jedi. What makes it so that this prof should? If any prof should require this, it should be jedi. Maybe they should forceeveryone to go to a ground pvp area to complete their paddie quest. Yeah, I would like to see that uproar. In any case, this requirement is far to difficult fornon-hard core players. And, when 80% of your revenue comes from casual players, who should you make sure are happy?

A couple of things to think about.

How long does it take to run through Kessel (on average) to kill these 30 some odd TIEs for that mission?

How many people actually have that much time to spare in their day away from the real world?

Dude shutup okay? Hes not asking for it to be solo, he wants the option to grind the 7.5 million xp to get master. Thats like doing tier 4twice over again. So why dont you try reading what he says instead of immediately thinking he wants it so easy as pie.

man i love how retarded people are because they can't READ!!

Although he does have a point with the ganking people. Its not fair to have a PvE mission in a PvP playing field. I have failed the mission 11 times now because i spend 2 hours of my life IN A GROUP searching for and killing the ties only to get killed by someone who has nothing to lose when i have about 5 to go. Thats just heart warming to fail the mission after 2 hours of hard work only to fail becuase you died in one or two shots. Oh and before you start flaming me, try researching the mission first. I'm not the only one who this happened to.

The DEV's Said they wouldn't force PvP and yet here we are, forced to do it. Im tired of doing this mission. Frankly im ready to call it quits. And its only going to get worse as more and more people get closer to master...

You know, all this "get a group" stuff brings up another question...

Are these 30 kills that you must get counted as group kills or you individually must get 30 kills? If it's you individually must get the 30 kills, then what good does the group do?
