So basicly, even if I spawn in a random area opf space on the same land based server and planet of my friends, and even if I send them a tell to meet up at the corellina space dock, I may never see a few of them at all, even if we are all at the space dock because the serve they loaded to is AN INTIRELY DIFFRENT DEMINTION AND PLANE OF EXSISTANCE!

Well now I finally understand why whenever I launch with my friends, two of them are together and I can't see either of them even though we are at the exact same waypoint. Completely horrible system...if lag is that bad then find another way to fix the problem. This IS a MASSIVELY **MULTIPLAYER** online roleplaying game where grouping with friends is a necessity to say the least.

Huh? As someone who has done the tier 1 missions alone, and is now on tier 2, working on it, I flew above yavin, and I quickly found my friends, we died, I went back to the same place where we were, which was another hyperjump point, and they were there in a few minutes.

Be more elaborate before marking a business as incompetent.

Oh, and btw, a petition with insults will be ignored, 100% of the time.

Sorry bud but this is a fact. All of us in Beta complained about it. They've acknowledged it. It's in the Knowledge Base. Just hit CTRL-H in-game and you can find it for yourself

Kinda makes you wander about the "Combat Revamp" huh?

Lots of sitting on the edge of the bed talking about how great it's GOING to be...

First off, don't call me bud.

Second, you just patronized me without answering my question.

I'm still looking for someone to be more elaborate, because I still don't fully understand this "system" or "issue".

I think they mean that a diffrent zone = a diffrent server that = a diffrent plane of existance which = even if 10 people. you and your buddies spawn into space, all from the same planet and starport, and spawn in diffrent sections of space. some of you will be on totally diffrent servers that it would not matter if all of you did group chat and said meet up at the corellia space port, you won't see every one even if they are all their cause they will be on a totally diffrent server which = a diffrent plane of existance.

If it's only Tier 1, why complain? Tier 1 takes 1 night.

The way the devs explained it in beta the only time you load into an instanced space zone is when you are completing the first few tier 1 missions. Any time after that you load into the "normal" space zone with everyone else.

Personally this seems like a great thing to me, as the devs had the foresight to accomidate new players who are just starting out on the first few missions. They don't have to worry about other people annoying them or seeing hundreds of the same type of mission NPC all around them as others complete their mission as well. It also helps ease the server load of all the new players in a rush to complete the first few missions.

If this happens after the first few missions and you loaded into a randomly instanced space zone every time you launched into space I could see it being a problem. However from what I've seen it only happens while you're doing the first few tier 1 missions.

I guess because most people don't understand what they're signing.

As the creator of this petition (thank you to all the signers btw) I will take on the duty of elaborating on the 'issue.'

First I will start with an example.

You are a member of a Guild/PA. Your guild gets a recruit who is a new player and is inexperienced.

Being the helpful person that you are, you would like to welcome the new player to your guild by helping him with the Space Training missions. The two of you meet in the Spaceport in Tyrena. There, you form a groupandyou walk him through the steps to launch his trainer ship.

Space Loads

Once he has finished loading, your friend asks you where you are. "Right by the Spacestation," you say. "Where are you?"

"I'm also by the spacestation, that's wierd"

After cycling through all of the nearby targets four times, you glance at your Group Status List, which shows your friend as "Out of Range." Perplexed, you use the /findFriend feature to activate a waypoint to your friends precise location. You fly to where he should be, but all you see is a waypoint, your friend is no where to be seen.

I'm sure this has happened to many of you in some way or another, now the reason for this.

Space Zoning

Core Systems such as Corellia, Tatooine, and Naboo, are "high-population zones," areas where vast numbers of players congregate at one time. These areas experiance increased lag as a result. To 'fix' this problem, the developers have instigated a system of Zone Instancing, wherein there are many servers (in this case two)which 'serve' the same system or 'zone.'

For each server, Bria, for example, there are two separate Corellia Systems, two separate Tatooine Systems, two separate Naboo Systems. Therefore, when you launch from the ground into space, the server decides which one to put you in (randomly according to the KB). If you are placed into Corellia Zone A and your friend happens to be shunted to Corellia Zone B, the two of you are effectively in separate servers, you cannot see each other, find each other, do missions together, just chat (not in spacial of course). I'm sure you can see the problem.

The Remedy? One of you must land, relaunch, and hope the dice is rolled in your favor. If not, you get to do it again, and again, and again, until your both placed in the same zone.

If any further explanation is neccesary just launch into space with about 10 people, and see how many of them you can find once you get up there.
