I wouldn't count on making yourself any major coin selling pets once the first rush is past. By the time you factor in the finding, taming, training and, most importantly, growing time to get a pet people would buy you'd be a lot better of taking a shuttle run for a few of those 2000 credit missions that get handed out by underused terminals in unpopular towns.

I just don't see people wanting to pay more for a creature than for a weapon and those already sell pretty cheap these days.

Oh, I opened a thread about the same topic, didn't see this one before, sorry.

I see another problem: bio-engineers can only build a few pets, there are many more outside that would be fun to sell. Plus bio-engi pets are better than tamed, so our market would be people who want to have a little weaker but "unique" pet. Maybe a grown up too...

Regarding the problem that you could use your vendor to "store" pets: well, weaponcrafters etc could do that too. Plus with introducing the max sell price for vendors in the "in development area" you will not be able to put a pet in and have it cost 1 million credits.

As you can sell everything else in the game to vendors I feel we should be able to have a business too; it would be big fun after all for everybody involved.

Making money as a CH is almost trivial. Take missions for around 2.5k each then kill and harvest the hide from every animal you see on the way there and back. Take the hides and sell them in the bazaar for 4cr per hide. Rise wash repeat.

Weapon crafters are not bound by their tree as to the limit of the # of weapons they can hold, that is a piss poor example to compare too. The only limit for them is the # that can be stored in both their inventory and the vendor.

Imagine a PA of a couple of CH's each with vendors and they rotate who's turn it is to fill them up, everytime they lose a pet, they have a new one waiting plus 100+ others. I gotta think it's too easy to exploit for them to allow us to sell them on a bazaar or vendor.

I don't see how thats the major problem when they can easily place a limit to the number of pets you put into a vendor, and maybe as you get higher in theCH skills you can sell more. There is usually a way to escape an eploit, the fear of a possible exploit is not reason enough for sometihing to be limited, geez where would the game be if they just cowarded away from different option from fear of a possible exploit. I say let us have our fun and sell pets.

Its not a possible exploit. The problem is that CH don't get vendors. You need to be Business 4 to get a vendor. If you sell them on other peoples vendors then it is not "a possible exploit" it is an exploit.

If you want to sell pets I just don't see a way besides yelling on the curb side unless they put in a vendor system for CH and a CH can have 1 vendor and any pets on the vendor count towards the CH total stored pets.

First Im from Sweden, so my english arent That Good. But to my problem: How do I make money? I have done all this delivery and destroy mission, but hey do you know what it cost to have a personal mining? So how do I make money? I only played for like a week, so im a newbie, but where do all the people get their money from? Thankful for all tips!

And one tip I got on this destroy mission: Take the mission, like destroying a nest, then just ignore the mission, finally some marksman or whatever walk past that nest and destroys it ( for the xp or for the bones and hide), and you have succeed with the mission. This is useful when you're, like me, are weak in combat and can be easily killed.

Do the destroy missions. even when you are New they are gaged to your skills. best thing to do early on is unequip your weapon before you look at the missions

Making money is one of the hardest things to do in this game right now, in my opinion. The resource harvester route is really not for someone with very little money, because it will eat up your money and time in a hurry. Harvesting resources that can be sold on Bazaar has some value, but it depends on what people want and what they are using.

From my personal experience, I am currently working on providing power to some of the other players who are running the harvesters, since it cuts down on the time that they have to spend creating new power harvesters and running around collecting the resources and then placing them in their other harvesters. It's not a huge amount of money, and sometimes it works out where I just get trades for other materials that I am in need of, but it does provide me a living. I supplement my trips to my harvesters with mission that have good "cash to risk" ratio. An example would be paralope missions. They are easy to kill (even for me) and the money is not that bad. Take two or three and then complete those missions and harvest the resources. That way you'll possibly be able to sell the hides/bone/meat and make a little money on the sidealso.

As far as not completing the missions, I wouldn't suggest that you do that, since there is no guarantee that your objective will betaken by another player. My advice for someone who does not have a lot of combat skills (like me), is to select your missions without your weapon equipped. The difficulty ratingis the same, but they are a whole lot easier because when you have a weapon you are skilled with, it betters the odds. Hope this helps

well first off...get yourself a descent pistol. then, take missions without a weapon equiped. that should get you the lower level missions until you've moved up some skill trees and gotten better bonus.

also...don't cop out and take missions and let someone else finish them for you...you might as well just give someone else your account. if you are going to play the game, play it.

oh yeah, you can always get with someone else too...

making money with harvesters is not hard at all if you manage your time right. i make about 20k a day with one run @ about ~1200m of travel...total time (even if i stop to kill hermits and such), maybe 15 minutes.

You've gotta just start at the bottom like everyone else and work your way up to these things tho.

You didn't really mention what your profession/planet/goals were either, you may simply be over extending yourself or not setting realistic goals.

I'm Rebel. What I have found is that I can solo a destroy mission if there is only 1 Imp at the base. I basically start on the oppposite side of the base that the Imp is on, and do a "dance of death" around the base, avoiding the Imp. But I keep attacking the base, even if I am attacked. I stimpack myself as needed, but eventually, the Imp AI makes him go prone, and I just move out of range of the Imp and keep hitting the base.

1 minute later, the base is destroyed, and I run away to the Rebel terminal to get another mission.

Easy money, easy satisFaction.
