Thread: Just out of curiosity, am I the only one who thinks JTL is working as intended, and well?

Just grabbing this as I agree with the rest. But I see no "challenge" around I'm afraid. PvP is almost non-existant and all avail PvE too easy post-ace.

it lacks a wider scope of content, it has a few minor and a few major defects, however i agree, and i love it.

You are not alone! I been playing SWG straight since the original beta-2 and am still loving this game. JTL is a fantastic addition the game and i have an absolute blast with it everytime i go up. =)

I like the ability to tweakmy ships and outfit them with completely different components. It is a bit frustrating to find the right looted components to put together for that RE part you want, but the challenge is what brings value to the accomplishment. Good job, Devs!

Am I the only one who enjoys balancing out his 3 ships with the proper mix of loot and crafted components to make my X-wing a superiority fighter, my B-wing a heavy bomber and my A-wing a lightweight recon fighter better at getting out of trouble than getting in it? Am I the only one that thinks ships should have independent roles, and that half the fun of gaining rank is being able to use new and better ships?More to be added, but tell me someone else truly enjoys the game as is, and doesn't think anything major needs changing.
I will agree that it is definitely working well but I hope not as intended. I have no troubles getting around in space, can find combat very easily, had little to no issues going through my missions and it all seems to run very smoothly. Loot is easy to find and fun to collect, combat can be exciting, there are a ton of ships to go up against, pvp is possible and the variety of loot available gives infinite possibility to who you might go up against.
But there are plenty of things that need to be addressed. Droid programs (At least wpn overload 3+4) are not working as intended) Master level content doesn't exist. There is a master zone called deep space but it's just a big spawn farm. Some ships are under mass'd (Tie/In, Tie Interceptor), some don't have enough wpn hardpoints (Tie interceptor has 4 guns...but one weapon point?) I think the expansion was made with the experience of making ace as the primary offering. And later content for master pilots would be added. I really expected to see capital ship combat in this expansion, it was in their movie clips they advertised this game with so until that is added I have to say I'm a tiny bit dissappointed. I love the game, don't get me wrong but it's missing a few key features and there are a few tweaks needed.

Don't people always say if you want to stay interested in a game never read the forums. Generally speaking, forums aren't exactly the place you go to here what a game is really like, or what problems it has because it seems that no matter what game you play, official forums are always the worst of the worst news. I love JTL and I think SWG great. As with most games, there are problems, but you just let the player correspondants know and they'll get taken care of. Most people blow things out of proportion anyway.

I love JTL. Being able to go to space and PvE the GCW without fear of a TEF is very cool to me. I may even have to break down and at least get a joy stick.

No, your not alone. I absolutely love the game and it works fine for me. I haven't been in space in nearly two weeks but that is because I have gone loot crazy (pictures, almost have a art museum in my house).

i agree completely. i ve loved this game inside and out for over 2 years now.
i had about a month and a half where i got bored of it and almost quit, but i think i just overplayed leading up to that.
regardless, im back in the swing of it and i cant complain about a single thing.

Sorry, not to get down on what is intended to be an upbeat post (which I agree with!), but that comment there really jumped out at me. Don't we wish it worked out like that?

Well, it *is* changing with the departure of GrindBot from the Development Team. SoE shook things up quite a bit in the past three months. A thread discussing current bugs WITH THE RESPONSE FROM A DEVELOPER INTERJECTED THROUGHOUT was unheard of a mere six months ago. There's hope.
