EBgames always has problems with there shipping page updating.

Alright, listen. EB and GameStop orders are being shipped today. The only reason other people got them already is because they ordered from the Star Wars or LucasArts site, and those discs where sent out early. However, those people do not recieve the Flash Speeder. I'd rather get my disc a day later and get the speeder, rather then get it the day before and not get it.
Anyhow, that's just how I understand it. Don't quote me on it.

First off, I never said "when" we pre-ordered JTL, my post wasn't long, there is no reason to not read it in it's entirety if you are going to make a reply.
Secondly, lashing out at people for venting is counterproductive, alot of people get very frustrated during releases, whether of a new game or an expansion.
Third, I stated that I called EB and spoke with them and I also posted that they said it has not shipped and when it's scheduled to do so. I posted mainly to vent, but, also to see if there were many others in the same position (shared frustration does tend to dampen the fires).
Geez, now I'm venting again....sorry, it's been along time since I kept up on any message boards and now I remember why....the mb warriors will snap at anything...
Also, this is the first time that we have ever used this company, so, I also wanted to get a feel of whether or not this is normal for them. It seems like it happens often enough.

I preorderd mine locally from EB Games, just like I did when SWG came out over a year ago. I was up and online by noon on release day, which is exactly what I am expecting to do tomorrow (the 27th).
It's easier to make a trip to your local game store, then to rely on a shipping department, IMHO.

Pre-order reward was an offer only in place from EBGames and Gamestop, not Lucas Arts.

Yes I just discoverd that - SAD really when you get dissed from the very Parent of SWG - well I'll continue to support LucasArts

You may get something in email about this; I certainly understand how you feel, regardless.

My husband and I both have played SWG since beta, we looked forward to it ever since we first heard that there would be a Star Wars mmog. My hubby is a huge Star Wars fan (shocking, I know) and he has just about every SW game on all of the platforms that we own. One of his favorites is X-Wing vs. TIE, so, JTL is incredibly cool to him and he was thrilled to be invited to the beta and has been excited about it going live.
So, of course, he pre-ordered JTL and he did it through the link given by SWG, which happened to be EB Games. He was disappointed last night that he hasn't received the JTL disc yet, especially after he heard that some have been able to access JTL before they were suppose to be able to, which means that they have had their discs for days already. On checking the order information screen for EB Games today, I came to find out that the disc hasn't even been shipped yet, so, I called EB Games and they said that it's not scheduled to ship until tonight and their excuse was that, although the SWG site says that the discs would be shipped a day early, EB's site has always said that it would ship today, the 26th.
This may sound like a petty argument to some, but, those of us who are big gamers know how important it is to be there on opening day, especially for this game....this is my hubby's ultimate mmog and this is about the best expansion for him as far as pure enjoyment. Being a gaming related company, I find it insensitive for EB Games to not be aware of this and cater to their customers in response.

Everytime I've pre-ordered something from EB Games, it's never in stores on official release date. I've always heard excuses about how shipments were delayed or whatever. For that reason, I never pre-order anything anymore from anywhere. Whycommit toa storethat may or may not have what I want on the day it's supposed to hit the shelves? Instead, I just hit the local shops and grab it from the first place that has it. Incidentally, Best Buy is infamous for having highly anticipated titles on release day but never having the shelves stocked. I almost always have to have a clerk run in back to dig through boxes to find what I'm looking for.
For the record, I have no problem with EB Games in general. I shop there all the time. If I want something on the day it's released, I just go someplace other than EB Games.
