Well, I work for EB, and I can safely say that the website has and probably will always blow in every concieveable way.

Also, be aware, if you slated the game for in-store pick-up there's a pretty good chance that you'll have to pay for it on-site, even if you paid for it via the web-site. I had that problem when checking out GTA customers who ordered online. Please don't take it out on the sales associates, they don't give us any information or training on the website and the "support" number they give us is the same general help line they give customers.

So, if that happens to you, give the CSRs for the website hell, and then once again for us sales drones.

What? it's too much to expect a company who's sole buiness is games to hold up thier end of the bargan?

It's one day TOO LONG when it's tomorrow. Either promise and deliver or don't promise.

It's just that simple

My husband and I both have played SWG since beta, we looked forward to it ever since we first heard that there would be a Star Wars mmog. My hubby is a huge Star Wars fan (shocking, I know) and he has just about every SW game on all of the platforms that we own. One of his favorites is X-Wing vs. TIE, so, JTL is incredibly cool to him and he was thrilled to be invited to the beta and has been excited about it going live.

So, of course, he pre-ordered JTL and he did it through the link given by SWG, which happened to be EB Games. He was disappointed last night that he hasn't received the JTL disc yet, especially after he heard that some have been able to access JTL before they were suppose to be able to, which means that they have had their discs for days already. On checking the order information screen for EB Games today, I came to find out that the disc hasn't even been shipped yet, so, I called EB Games and they said that it's not scheduled to ship until tonight and their excuse was that, although the SWG site says that the discs would be shipped a day early, EB's site has always said that it would ship today, the 26th.

This may sound like a petty argument to some, but, those of us who are big gamers know how important it is to be there on opening day, especially for this game....this is my hubby's ultimate mmog and this is about the best expansion for him as far as pure enjoyment. Being a gaming related company, I find it insensitive for EB Games to not be aware of this and cater to their customers in response.

Be grateful, at least you dont leave in europe!

First off, get your fact straight. They DID hold up their end of the bargain. It's printed on their website plain as day. I know we can both read, lol. It has stated for the past 4 weeks that it ships on the 26th of October. If I've known this, why can't you. Just because some stores got their shipment eary and decided to break the date doesn't mean ebgames.com is suppose to. Their are a pretty big company, and while I hate their retail stored (arrogant jerks) I like getting my games online because normally they and their shipping are very reliable.

Once again, blaming ebgames because other stored jumped the date is a pointless emotional response.

I feel for you. Dumb Fedex is returning my package because they tried to deliver it 3 times and no one was home. I kept calling and telling them to release it woth no signature and the driver just kept going back and saying, "yup no one is home I"ll take it back with me." So now I need to find someplace to buy it from.
