Hmm dunno about moddable, But I Think they should add more un-armed "civilian" ships which work like the yacht and take no skills to fly. What about some like the ships you see flying over citys when your on the ground (and the starport shuttle type)? 
If they were to make it a moddable MP ships then it would have to goto the master box, or be seriously limited to what size stuff you can put in it.

I agree, but the ship was made to tarvel not for combat, they could let us put some engine parts to make it more fast.

I agree completely. as of now its totally useless (to me) and way to slow. I love the looks of it, especially inside, but whats the point if you cant mod it? I destroyed mine to make room for my YT (which it dident give me my lot back and my tickets have gone unanswered for a week now). There should be an option, maybee at master that lets you modify it if you wish.

originaly it was made so you could modify it but for some strange reason the devs decided against it (that's why ther's a turret hole and an Ops seat, as well as the places where the components were able to be repaired...)

Maybe to make it modifiable, if you can't already...
Be able to choose the color of the outside of the ship
Also....
Let Shipwrights? Master Artisans? create ship equipment that can replace the components in your ship for more diversity.
1 Be able to replace the pilot and passenger seat with special ship seats that can be puchased and colored
2 Let you choose the color of your carpet and walls, maybe have a pallet of colors to choose from
3 Choose the bar type in your ship...keep the style you have, choose a "ground bar" style
I don't know about upgrading the ship itself, the yacht is supposed to be simple...Its not supposed to replace player bought ships, so no weapons for sure. Maybe engines...but thats cutting it close.

That other free gift, the one year anniversery ship portrait is rather useless as well. I propose it should be able to be modded to a leet armor. I had to destroy mine as it was useless to me. Imagine...SOE giving me a worthless free gift!

Kids...kids! It's a free gift! Don't complain it's no good. You can have a multiperson combat ship. You can have a beautiful touring craft thats cannot be destroyed. You can't have it all in one. I would love that the firespray was once again the master freelancers master ship. it's not gonna happen now. And, thats okay.
I would have to vote "no" on any changes to the yacht.

hrmm.. quest to increase speed on vet reward.. sure.. sounds good

That's not what I was saying, I just thought it would be good to be able to use my yacht as my vessel of choice. There doesn't seem to be much to holdit back in any case. I'd say more but I'm not feeling to hot so I'll finish my response later...

Because if it was craftable by any shipwright that removes the fact that it is a REWARD. It is supposed to be something that some players have, but others don't. Put in 6 months of time playing galaxies and you will have one. It should not be modifiable. It is fine the way it is.
