Thread: Tie's have no hyperdrive

Will an unofficial transcript do for you? I'll leave the Aersp course grades in it so you check them? Have to wait a couple weeks for the real deal. Of course the transcript doesn't have my name on it. Will you just piss and moan about that? Because either way you will just say that it isn't mine.
Sorry, you said you had the Bachelor's available to scan and send RIGHT NOW to prove how much you know- if you can't do it, you lied. Why would you lie on a forum? Are you that hell bent on being right? Awww.. poor guy
Met,
Until you actually follow through with the initial discussion points you raise I have nothing further to say to you. Its obvious you have nothing to back up anything you say beyond 'SOE are licenced so they must be right!' - as you say WEG did occasionally 'get it wrong' for whatever reason, yet you dont seem to be able to apply this concept to SOE!
The fact that you need to highlightthe 'victories' you think you have made in this thread only serves to prove they dont exist (otherwise the reader will see them for themselves). Either show us that the cut aways I have supplied have been contradicted in another authorised source (and I'll make it easier for you) before or since their publication for starters or do us all a favour and stop making challenges you can see through

Let me try your tactics Metroid:
I said:
can send you a copy of my Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering if you would like. If you would wait about 2 months, I can fax you over myMaster's degree too

It's simple, really. I'm tired of arguing with you people. Your entire point about TIE fighters not being able to have hyperdrive is THEORY. Theory can't be proven. So your never going to admit your wrong about them *possibly* being able to have hyperdrive.
You'll just keep reinforcing the fact that YOU think YOUR right and the people MAKING THE GAME are wrong. That's why I don't care/insult you people. There's just no way to "win" this arguement.
Your "cutaway's" are the only evidence you have, in a huge, long, boring debate. I honestly have to laugh that you would go so far in order to prove something that doesn't matter either way. Continuity is broken in a hundred places in this game, but you want to 'match' continuity in one area that would unbalance the game no matter how you resolved the issue. Even providing transport ships would unbalance the game- your forcing Imp players to wait while Reb players can just jump.
I'm, personally arguing because if people like you are left unchecked, games get ruined. As has been said atleast a half a dozen times by other people- Fun > Continuity. This is not a Starwars SIMULATOR. It's a MMORPG based on Starwars.
If the DEVS have decided Tie fighters can have hyperdrive- then obviously lucas arts isn't disagreeing, are they?
Which blows your entire debate out of the water.

Here you go Metroid: Got my proof for you. Took me a while to find something you can't refute. Here is a link to the High Performance Computing Graduate Minor at Penn State. Check #58. And because I know you won't belive me, send an email to that address, and I will be sure to email you right away little guy.

Well I'm sorry you have declined to actualy partake in a mature civilised and rational debate and as a result I will be putting you on ignore shortly (I realise you wont actually care).
If you are so confident in the devs why do you feel the need to fight your corner?
I take offence that 'people like me ruin games' I have seen many games IMO 'ruined' by people with an opinion other than mine - and thats all it comes down toif you think a game is 'ruined'....your opinion
So the devs chose to abandon the continuity in places?....does this means we should just forget about it completely from now on?
Ultimately the devs are not automatically 'right', a decision bydevs can make or break a game - if a decision breaks a game I'd wager that decision was wrong wouldnt you?
I'll be the first to admit that some changes are made (not necessarily in SWG) for the wrong reasons (and only because a large % of the playerbase is behind it) while that may make a decision 'right' from a business POV it doesnt mean it was the 'right' one from other POVs (depends where your priorities are)
I make no apology for supporting my arguments with established, authorised and authentic material and I still refuse to accept changes to these established factors simply because theres a new kid on the SW licence block (SOE). Continuity is what makes SWG Star Wars, without it, its just another 'me too' powerlevelling MMORPG with a bunch of PvP players who refuse to accept there are players with differing viewpoints than theirs - that not every game was made to cater to them, and that the 'RPG' in MMORPG doesnt stand for Rocket Propelled Grenade
I have no desire to make JTL unbalanced (I play an Imp) but I do have a desire to make JTL feel like Star Wars
Please dont bother to reply, you already know I'm not going to see it
Maybe the devs should just get everyone Force powers, a lightsabre and a Jedi Starfighter - it wont matter because they broke the continuity before didnt they..........

Technically, the dev's have to take que's from Lucasarts. It's part of the reason they couldn't do combat droids, balance and because combat droids are illegal in this time frame. They aren't abandoning continuity- they just aren't fitting up to YOUR IDEA of continuity. As has been stated a hundred times now, there are ways for a TIE to have hyperdrive, even if you don't like it, and really, that's what the whole issue is, isn't it? You don't like it.

Dude you are an idiot. I just proved it to you. So they just let basket weaving majors into Aerospace Grad school. I have shown you and you are just arguing to argue like you said. All your claims are weak and once I proved to you what you wanted you must prove to me what you said you would.
