Great report, cant wait to get the game.


My question is:


in the multipassenger crafts will you be able to switch pilots mid-flight? so that you stop the craft then just get out and let someone else (with the adequate skills) pilot the craft like in a car for instance? If so, will you need to consent these people to fly your craft?

All this sounds great, very much like a new version of XvT, but is that really a mmorpg. I'm curious to know what is in space for many of the professions in game, such as artisan/droid engineer/dancer/musican/smuggler? Its already been stated no mining in space, this would of been a awesome addition, being able to dump a harvester on a asteroid or gas mining in a nebulae. It sounds all very arcade like, which I like' but I think were gonna see a major decline in other profession, simply because theres no point I've heard of,for them being in space, and everyone is gonna want to be in space, its Star Wars. It sounds great for PvP but alittle rushed at the same time.

making the faction craft overt only would be a great diservice to the majority of the players. most people want to fly the iconic craft of starwars but do not want to participate in PVP. having the faction craft PVP only would destroy the majority of folks who want to fly XWings and TIEs but not be subject to gank squads camping the spawn points.


the complaints of the PVP only folks that there isnt enough PVP on the ground just proves that most people do NOT want full time non-consensual PVP. hopefully a dev will clear this up soon.

hmm this will be interesting and it sounds fun to, get a team together to man a multi-person ship, not only do they have to take the time to grind the ship proffesions, but they need to have some real "twitch" skills as well, this could lead to some elite starfighter crews

it just clicked for me WHY they didn't change the STARPORT waits to less than 10 minutes despite OVERWHELMING community response that it was wanted.

They're using the 10 minute shuttle wait as a way to DRIVE people into buying JTL. They don't care a **self-edit** about **editing again** immersion. They're looking at a way to force people into buying JTL. If they cared about immersion then they're going to have a fricking 10 minute wait when you call your ship from your datapad.


That bites. They should have been honest and said we're not changing the wait til after everyone that hates waiting forks over some cash for JTL.

Is there any plans to make player owned space stations? I know i'd love to live in a house orbiting a planet. Also, maybe you could make it so we can go to a faction terminal and buy wingmen... NPC ships that fly by our side and help defend us... Just a couple of ideas.

The point of this expansion as mentioned several times is to expand the GCW, Star Wars is about Rebels vs Imps, especially in space, there's absolutely no justifiable reason why an Imp ina TIE wouldn't fire on a Rebel X-Wing, if they went the covert route with everyone flying around in TIE's and Xwings it'd just make it a complete joke.


It works to an extent on the ground because you can't tell an Imp/Rebel apart just by looking at them but if you get TEF'd for wearing ST/Marine armour you sure as hell need to be TEF'd for flying what is clearly a faction craft.


If you don't want to PVP then you fly neutral craft, simple as that, there's enough of them to choose from, if you want tobe part of the Alliance/Imperial fleet then you've gotto be prepared to fight for that, it's not just meant to be anotherpointless PvE system, you're joining a PvP faction in a_war_, why is this so difficult to understand?You've got your carebear world on the ground at least give the rest of us a real game in space.

the devs according to the first message in this thread (read it sometime) says that atmospheric flight is out for the present but would be likely implemented at a a later date. - so no flying into space yourself currently

least they could would be make a generic cutscene that showed your ship lifting off and blasting into space in place of the load screen...

Hey Devs! I like all the ideas that are coming with the expansion.... but I have a question that probably most of us have.


The shipwright profession is going to act like any other profession that we have and will take skill points. Will you be increasing the number of skills points for everyone... like enough to master one more profession because right now I'm tryin' to become a merchant but in order for me to do so, i'll have to give my creature handling skills, all but one of my hunting skills in scout, and maybe one or more skill boxes.


I'm a master tailor so I needed merchant but I also need hide..... did not want to rely on anyone else. I plan on being a shipwright because it'll be so fun but I do not want to give up anything else (marksman and scout stuff I need as well as my artisan boxes).
