She is a nice ship. The gun placement is tough to get used to, though I don't think she handles as well as the Rihkxrik, I'm using the same engine and the R just seemed to handle alot better imo.
The oversized back end leads to a slim profile from the side however, flip her on her back and retreat up or to the sides for that matter and I tend to see alot of misses...Something I could never do in the Rihkxrik = Soloing agressors with no missles and no worries

It handles just as well as an Xwing. People on my server have doubted me, and I've proved them wrong by getting directly behind them (about 20m)and not giving them a chance to get out of my line of fire.

As with all ships, alot of the handling depends on the engines. My firespray engines are 96/80/80/80 which means I can turn at full speed almost as fast as I can at prime manuvering speed. Sure it means my baby goes 870 max 1250 boosters...but really after 850 the max speed doesnt matter that much. She's got a lvl 8 Borstel RE and a lvl 9 loot cannon that gives her close to 8k damage combined as well as 20 mark 3 proton torpedos. Mine is built with more defense in mind then offence. 2600 f/b shields with 19 recharge as well as 1.2k armor front and back. I'll say that nothing has ever managed to get through the shields yet in PvE (And I dont dare PvP with it) even in cloud of 10 deathwatch tier 4's.
Needless to say that my FS is definately my jewel.

Well, i'm using it for over a week now and it gets better every day. It handles very well, if you use your throttle much to compensate the low basic manouverability compared to lighter fighters. What i can say for sure is that it's the best ace-cert ship for me.

I love my Firespray. The weapon placement is something you have to get used to, for sure, but once you do and load up 2 Tier 9 or 10 weapons in there, along with an AMAZING shield generator (the same one I have on my MP ship, in fact), there's nothing like it. Downside? It's an enormous target profile.
It handles as well as the Imperial master ship with 1 less missile port but much more mass, but handles much better than the Rebel master ship with 1 less gun, 1 more missile, and much less mass. Stat comparisons:
(Tier 5) B-Wing: 150k Resources ~240k mass [SP: 4 Guns] 2 missiles[Spdx 0.85(Foils Closed) 0.80 (Foils Open) Acc 10 Dec 15 Pitch 50 Yaw 50 Roll 25]
Offical all 6 Textures and gun styles
(Tier 5) TIE-Opp: 150k Resources ~170k mass [SP: 2 Guns] 3 missiles[Spdx0.9 Acc 35 Dec 35 Pitch 100 Yaw 100 Roll 50]
(Tier 5) Fire Spray: 150k Resources ~210k mass [SP: 2 Guns] 2 missiles[Spdx 0.9 Acc35 Dec35 Pitch100 Yaw 100 Roll 50]

I love the FS as well.... I was flying the rvnzpoigaourigaliudfouybvaqeurbty;oauifhpgiuahf before since free lance dosen't get a decent master lvl ship. And the only thing that took getting used to was having the weapons fire from below, and it took a little getting used to.

I took my FS out for its maiden flight last night and I loved it. My engine was decent (105 speed, pyr in the 52s). 2 advanced blasters, shields around 2800. I used wo3, eo3, ro3. I am still trying to decide if i can kick down the armor a bit, get an engine more like the gift one, and throw in some exp blasters. Whatever I do in that area does not take away from how well the ship handles. Now, I come from a serious school of Awing rules. It is true, there is no comparison in handling. But, it is not TOO far off the mark and has a lot more pluses. The firespray is the successful mating of a bwing and awing. I will write more as I adjust its loadout and see if I can kick up manuverability with amore PYR engine over speed and try to get some better guns. I did rely heavily on the flight computer to tweak it to acceptability but ALL pilots should be doing that anyway. If anyone has any questions I will try to answer them. Oh yeah, the mass is 211388 which is pretty darned nice!

well you have to reverse engineer components. when you do this a disc will pop out. I believe you need a set of 8 different discs to make a schematic. now i'm not a shipwright but i think the ratio was around 4-500 ship components reversed engineered for one disc. someone confirm?
personally though I think firespray should be taken out, but that's me... hehe..

yeah something like 300 parts on average. What i've done is team up with one of my friends (a shipwright). He's busy crafting, running his business, while I go up into space, collect lots of level 1 parts (easiest to get, easiest to RE) bring them back in bags of 50, and he REs them.sometimes we'vebeen lucky and we got 2 disks in one bag of parts. other times, i bring him 3 bags with no luck.
and we are only 3 disks away from both of us getting a firespray.

I've been told that specifically, the Kuat made parts drop the skematics. This seems right since the Kuat corp made the firesprays. But, as i'm not a Shipwright, i will need someone else to confirm this for him...
