Thread: A few questions

Ok. I've been trolling the posts and haven't seen these specific questions definitely answered (maybe candidates for the FAQ? Any help greatly appreciated.
-What specifically negates TIA? I know Armor does, but does that include boots and gloves? What about regular clothing? I think the answer is no, but want to confirm.
It's in the FAQ, just armour, nothing else (that will be all parts of armour)
- Does your clothing take damage if you fight wearing it like it did before? Or does the TIA "protect" your clothing?
That was a bug, it has been fixed.
- Is there anyway to see exactly what your TIA % is? Or can you only calculate it?
TIA = 100 Armour for ever +1 So as a TKM you have +60 which = 6000 armour.
- Does clothing with attachments still function when at 0? (kind of important if your clothing still takes damage when in combat).
At the moment, yes, it wouldn't suprise me if we see a fix to this one day.

So are Boots and Gloves considered armor now or clothing?

So no way to see it only to calculate it? Guess what would be ideal from my perspective would be something on character sheet that shoes TIA (and went to zero when you equipped armor). Actually best thing from my perspective would be a "paper doll" tab that showed current armor level for each body part.

How does that stack up again something with good ore?I also made a single piece of basic assault rebel armor, and I believe it had 3k kinetic, 1k energy and 2k elemental protection.Im just kinda wondering what I have to work with here. Thanks guys.
PS: Using a fully layered suit with kinetic layers, does that mean I get 9 x 20 points extra kinetic protection? (3 layers in 3 segments...or am I missing someting)
Kinetic layers max out at +100, I would say +80 or better would count as good layers.
Basic armor cap at 2000 base so it seems you hit that cap. It's 4000 for standard and 6000 for advanced but it becomes harder to hit the cap due to more named res.
You get 12x20 points, 4 layers per segement not 3.

I understand they add to both kinetic and electric but lower the base. Do they also add 100 to each kin/energy or is it less (seems I read something about them beeing nerfed?)Message Edited by guppi00 on 05-10-2005 12:10 PM
Read the descriptions of the layers, says exactly what they do

Read the descriptions of the layers, says exactly what they doTheir effectiveness is about half as good as the single layer types tho.
Can ya tell Im at work and a bit eager to find out ![]()
Thanks guys, appreciate the help ![]()
Oh and btw, Im trying to find the post that SOE gave us explaining the new armor system before it went live...but I cant. Anyone have a link?

somethink about my layers!
i builded kinetik layers ... after making them they had a kin rate of 24/-24
i builded a schematic and turned factorys on!
the result after all was a protection of 87/-88
so u see! it changes and seems to be bugged while crafting...

What is and where do I get the Belbulla 22? Also, who can fly it and what are the stats?
Where is the Heavy Scyk? Is it Shipwright made?
What is the Grievous fighter? Is that the Belbulla? Where do I go to start this mission?
Oh! One more. I heard we can get medals for completing master pilot. I did mine a while back (ok, a LONG time ago) and I cannot remember for the life of me who my last guy was I talked to. Who is it and where is he so I can get my medal?
Thanks in advance. If search was working for me I would have done that.

The Belluba (sp?) is the Grevous ship. He's in a cave (forget the name) on kashyyk. Any pilot can fly it I believe - with the required Tier level of course.
