Thank you,

However I found the answer for FRS, I have failed to find answer of "per person" or "per session" visibility.

Whats the Mind Pool? Some one mentioned somewhere that a rifle shot had effected the pool and not an individual bar (or something similar)

Please could you explain what the 'Wound %' is, does and effects. Oh and im assuming the higer the better?

Also when you examine a creature before you attack it it has a 'Special Protection' and a 'Vulnerability' with a % figure next to it. What is this? What does it effect and how can I apply the information?

I examined a creature the other day and it had a Special Protection : acid 10% - does this mean that if I use an acid rifle it will be 10% less effective?

Thanks again all

It Affects the Mind Bar ( the blue one ) some people call it a pool but its just the Individual Bar

Not too sure of this myself but I too assume higher the better think it is the chance of causing wounds

Right you should also notice an armour rating ( None; Light; Medium; Heavy)

and your weapon has an AP rating ( 0; 1; 2; 3)

For each level that the AP is above the AR (Armor Level) of the target youget a 25% cummalative bonus to damage. So AP3 vs AR0 (3steps)is 195% damage. AP3 vs AP1 or AP2 vs AR0 (2steps)means 156% damage. AP3 vs AR2, AP2 vs AR1, or AP1 vs AR0 (1step)means 125% damage. If even then it's 100% damage.

If the target is vulnerable to the damage type then the the target is considered AR0 and the weapon loses any AP bonus. It basically becomes AP0.

For each level that the armor is greater than the AP, you lose 50% damage. So 1step is 50%, 2steps 25%, and 3steps 12.5%.

Special Protection I Belive negates the AP effect

The % number is what the damage is reduced by i.e. If it has 10% and you hit it for 100 Damage it would Take 90 damage . So if it has Special Protection Energy 100% you ain't going to hurt it with an energy weapon

I examined a creature the other day and it had a Special Protection : acid 10% - does this mean that if I use an acid rifle it will be 10% less effective?

I may be wrong on all of the above but thats how I think it works

I finished the Warrens today, and wrapped up GlowQuest. I have been told that it takes 3 days for the Old Man to appear, so I'm taking a break and relaxing now. I read the stickies, including the one about which village phase we are in. It says that the village will change phase for Bria on March 1st. So, if the Old Man takes three days, that puts me at entering the Village on the 25th. Three days before the phase shift. Should I even bother trying to start down a path in Phase 4, or just wait the three days and start over in Phase 1? If I start something in Phase 4, will I be able to finish training what I started after the shift, or is it lost to me?

Also, I have heard that the missions from the Village are quite difficult. My current skills are 3-4-3-3 Marksman, 3-0-0-0 Scout, 0-0-4-4 Musician, 0-0-2-2 Dancer, and 1-1-1-1 Medic. What should I work on in the next three days to make myself more survivable once I get to the Village?

Finally, is there a pink lightsaber crystal around? I imagine it wouldn't be a very popular color, and I haven't seen any so far, so I thought I'd ask. Thanks for your help.

what id do if i were you is to do captian surguwhatshisface's mission, stay with your group though, cuz youd get wasted pretty bad by the easiest guys out there... what id do if i were you is to do a quest every 3 weeks, but dont grind the fs exp just yet, go master pistoleer (if thats what your going to do... looks like it from your marksman skills) or whatever your going to do... cuz what you have right now... well... wont really get you much fs exp at all... you need at least to master an elite profession or else its pretty much hopeless, but if you do the quests while your trying to get master whatever, you should be at 2-3 quests done by the time you finish your profession.. so then start grinding fs exp for whatever quests you unlocked... by the time you catch up your fs exp towhere you only need to wait for phase changed you should be at about 4 or 5 quests done so then you can be almost done with the grind

its up to you what to do, but just make sure you master an elite profession first, if you can afford billions of rez kits and stims be a master doctor and go afk with you killing and rezzing an afk player over and over... lots of fs exp that way, if your combat just go kill stuff at some strong spawn once your master of your profession...

but no matter what you do make sure you always doyour server's current phase's quest, otherwise you will hate yourself like i did when i had to grind to jedi.

BTW: the old man comes in about 1-2 days for the first visit, and about 1-4 the second, so shuttle hop around player cities alot after about a day and it shouldnt be 3 days, it was only 1 and a half for me

Can someone tell me what the food/drink is that can help mask scent? Know a vendor that makes it too? Which brings me to my next question. If you don't have the mask scent box, will the food/drink work?

I am a victim of not enough points so I can't get the box. Was hoping the mask scent food/drink would help me be able to milk critters.

Thank you,

Jawa beer, made by artisans.

If you dont have at least Exploration 2, you can't mask scent, regardless of any external mods (clothing/food/drink) you may have

no such luck, the food adds to the skill.
You still need the basic skill.

This proffesion is appealing very much to me and im on the verge of choosing to take it up, however I have a few questions that id be grateful if anyone could answer for me...

How profitable is ShipWright? How much can you make in a week for example?

How much steel etc am I going to need roughly if I was going to grind out ShipWright in one go(I read somewhere on one of the stickys 5.6mill, cant remember if I imagined this though)and how long would it take me to grind out roughly?

Shipwright isn't going to be the most profitable of professions, I think most would agree on that. I myself am a shipwright only to accomodate my pilot character, so I couldn't really give you any hard numbers, and you'll also find that the market varies from server to server.

Also, it's stickied somewhere up there at the top in one of those posts how much of each resource you'll need to grind through shipwright. All in all you will need close to 6 million resources, so I wouldn't do the grind unless I was pretty sure that it's what you want to do. I love this profession, so don't let that statement scare you off either . You'll need about 2.2 mil steel, 1.2 ore, and around 580k - 620kof iron, aluminum, inertpetrochemical and fiberplast (you'll have to double check that, I'm working from memory here).

Good luck man.

I was going to refer you to the FAQ, but it does not seem to be stickied any more. I guess it was too out of date. It is here.

From the faq:

Total Resources: 2.253m Steel, 581k Aluminum, 1.146m Ore, 581k Inert Petro, 539k Iron, 539k Fiberplast

...in non practice mode you'll need 4 additional Tier 4 ships which comes to 128k steel, 64k Ore, 32k Alum/Inert Petro/Iron/Fiberplast

It'll take less than an hour to grind to master if you have all the resources. You'll probably spend more time getting the resources than actually crafting...

Personally, I don't make a ton of money as a shipwright, but I enjoy it. I think I make about 250k-500k a week, but I don't do a ton of crafting either.

Yes read the guide it tells you what you need, it was somewhere in the region of 6.5 million units of resources I think. Once you have the resources you can master the trade in just a few hours since it doesn't take that many ships to get the exp needed, provided you use practice mode. It may seem a waste to spend anywhere between 6 and 20 million credits on resources just to grind practice chassis, so some people take it steadier and make things to sell whilst climbing the tree.

The profession is no where near as profitable as some, but very few are in it for the money.

A steady earning SW can turnover anywhere between 1 million and 25 million credits a week depending on the level of JTL activity on the server and the prominence of the SW themselves. So you can make the grind investment back if you are determined and in it for the long haul.

Another benefit is, of course, you and your guild get very cheap, custom crafted ships at all levels

Ok. I've been trolling the posts and haven't seen these specific questions definitely answered (maybe candidates for the FAQ? Any help greatly appreciated.

-What specifically negates TIA? I know Armor does, but does that include boots and gloves? What about regular clothing? I think the answer is no, but want to confirm.

- Does your clothing take damage if you fight wearing it like it did before? Or does the TIA "protect" your clothing?

- Is there anyway to see exactly what your TIA % is? Or can you only calculate it?

- Does clothing with attachments still function when at 0? (kind of important if your clothing still takes damage when in combat).
