It's very disapointing to see these changes coming - Kessel was a very fun place (and no i'm not master, i'm 3333). It was fun because it created the feeling of danger. I can see why you changed it - The vast majority of players in this game can't handle anything that may possibly cause them to lose. They've been pampered by underpowered mobs, and success on a silver platter. As soon as you put something in the game that may actually be dangerous, they all cry out in unison that it's not fair.
I've been taken down in Kessel several times, as well as taken out a few people - it adds to the feeling... everytime a player comes near, you feel like you are in very big trouble... there is nowhere in the game (except deep space now) where this feeling of impending doom surrounds you... i will miss it.THEN GO OVERT BEFORE YOU TRANSFER TO KESSEL
JTL Overt = I want to PVP
JTL Covert = I do not want to PVP
Correct - you can still play PvP in the zone. Just hit a Faction Space Station and declare...
TH - I am a privateer, and do not like the idea of being forced to pick a side. In Kessel right now, I can go there and be attackable by Rebels, Imperials, and other Neutrals that are not of my group (I'm smuggler alliance). Is there going to be a way for me to go "overt" smuggler alliance at least, to make up for losing Kessel? I see this as detracting even further from the Privateer profession.

,/sigh, people are not gonna be happy till this bloody game is Candyland. PvP zones are not a bad thing. Just one more example of kree jeark reactions by the devs after they lacked the foresight to do things right in the first place.
OOH! Candyland!!

ITS NOT THE SAME TH!!! GOING TO A ZONE WERE YOU CAN ATTACK ANYONE THATS REBEL IS HOW THE GAME SHOULD HAD BEEN ANYWAYS !!!
shoting an xwing to get a "beep" noise and realize he is covert is lame as hell , watching a xwing destroy ties and me not been able to do anything about it sucks , im a tier one imp pilot and a fly around overt , ask me how many times have have i been attacked or been able to attack a player rebel ??? 0000
why do you have rules in the ground game were you can defend imperials npcs and step into the action and have different rules in space ?? dont take away more of our pvp zones please !

TH,
Are there any plans for a % reduction on PvP damage for JTLS? Right now, pretty much EVERYONE is a one shot kill.Yep
How about instead of nerfing PvP, fixing the stacking exploit that ALLOWS them to get the one shot kills in the first place? Also, in addition to that, increaseing the power of shileds so that they can withstand more then a few shots, and have a power more relitive to there mass?

I still want to know the answer to these 2 questions TH:
- What option is there for those people whowant to prove they're a Master Pilot by accepting the challenge of a difficult mission in a PvP zone?
- What will differentiate the Grinders from those who took/want to take the challenge of a difficult mission in a PvP zone?
This is still a MMOG. Risk vs Reward is the foundation of a MMOG.This isn't a balanced solution in the slightest. It's appeasement of those who can complain the loudest for the longest. And disregards both those who already met the current challenge and those who want to prove they're up to the same challenge. I've no intention of hanging around in Kessel or other PvP zones to shoot players without adequate reason.
But I'm willing to prove I'm more than their equal by vaping them to reach my objective.

Hey i got an Idea, Let make all the Master Pilots Huntable, like the jedi, and have the Freelance Pilots be the BH so to speak, and then we can pull mission on them and kill them and they loose XP, or better yet lets make a PermaDeath thing for Master Pilots, 3 kills they start over, i think this would be great for PVP, i mean lets keep the cycle going here, we dont want over population, and the BH that are Masters, can now feel a little of what they have been dishing out , lol

Paint a target on your ship.

They tell us that 'If you don't want to pvp then don't go for master pilot' - then when told if 'you want to pvp then go overt' and they
still have a problem. What's wrong with pvp'ing with people who want to pvp? This change helps eliminate the grieving and master
gating that was taking place. You can still pvp and you're not forced to PVE. However, you are now forced to pvp with players
that want to pvp and you cannot kill players that don't want to pvp. I'd say that's fair.
