I know about the combat revamp but how does it tie into me keeping Master Medic?

Also, I'm not going to count on the revamp until I download it because I remember that it was supposed to be Pub 9. Then it became Pub 10 and now it's after JTL.

The revamp will change medic in big ways, guaranteed. Whether or not you wait for those changes is up to you, but if you're a medic when they hit they will affect you.By this I mean, and I'm sure any person whohas been around long enough to know that novice medic is way overpowered, that novice medic probably will not come anywhere near meeting your healing needs after the revamp.

The revamp should if implemented right make being a medic a great skill to have.

I used to be a 4/4/0/4 medic and 0/3/0/4 entertainer, I can't even begin to tell you how wanted I was on hunts and for groups in the first few months of the game. back before composit was 90% resists and buffs were a "what is a buff?"
It was also around the time that Class 4 LPF first spawned on the server so I had some of the most powerful stim b's out there.

I actually had fun in that day, not hunting or fighting but keeping my group on it's feet.

/sigh

those were the days

Agreed. Medic was fun back when it was needed. Every profession should be needed somewhere, not made redundant.

I have a question for all of you ranged jedi hunters. I am going for master pistoleer/bh 3040/ smuggler pistols4. I was wondering if it was worth it instead to get mbh/mpistoleer for the carbine dizzy/kd shots (spray shot and fire knockdown) or if I should stick with my original plan.

p.s. I plan to do as much jedi hunting as I possibly can

I have one more question. I have no idea how the bh profession works. How do you use informants, search droids and such. Thx for your help.

In reply to the question, Is it worth it? I must first ask, Is -WHAT- worth -WHAT-? I very much enjoy playing a ranged BH. You should choose the template that allows you to use the skills you like, yet be affective.

A MASTER BH is a ranged template. Supplement it with whatever allows your style of play to work best. Consider the skills granted. Also consider some medic for use of stimpacks (for healing).

As for investigations and how the BH system works, you will want to research this in FAQ. But just to get you started, here are the basics:

1) Train in Novice Bounty Hunter.

2) Choose buffs, armor, and weapons that will help your template succeed.

3) Take a mission from BH terminal

4) Talk to Spynet operative for waypoint to mark's location.

5) Travel to mark and kill it.

6) Rinse and repeat.

NOTE: DO NOT train in Investigation 1 until you have maxed out your BH experience points at 10,000. Then train in Investigation 1 and 2.

Now it will get a little harder and you will need droids. If you are on Corbantis, give me a /tell or Ctrl+E and I will be more than happy to walk you through a few times.

Good luck, happy hunting, and welcome to the jungle.

You make it sound like we enjoy having 75% of our profession's trees rendered useless due to saber block

My question was about the specifincs of my template. I am goin to use a mainly pistol template.I was originally gonna go mpistoleer/desperado/rogue. was wondering whether it would be worth it to give up smuggler skills and get mbh so I could have a kd/dizzy shot with carbines.

Indy,

I'm considering the very same template. I've had guys says MBH was worth it, others that didn't. What it comes down to is what you like the most.

If you enjoy pistols, go the BH 3/0/4/0, MP, smuggler 0/0/4/0 route.

Btw, that's what I've decided to do.

BLASPHEMERS!!!!!!!

All BH who use a melee prof in hunting are not only cowards, but are equally guilty as jedi for making this game the ---- hole that it is. Melee profs are what are killing this game and especially that dang "unarmed" prof. BH are always complaining about how under powerd they are yet they run and jump to the exact profs wich have them whinning. Hunters (melee users are unworthy of the word BH, wich discribes a level of skill, not the lvl of defences you have) that have a template of anything less than 3-4/0/0/0 are part of the problem. The devs think that people like the melee profs because of their over compensation, when in actuallity its because they are the only EASY!! option open. If you cant handle BH solo against high level jedi with ranged... get some friends.... dont go to the da-n melee profs... those profs need to be deleted from game and TK (the only partialy viable melee prof that is really mentioned in star wars should be UNARMED.. VK's need to be deleted.

I MEAN DA-N THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE BH FORUM NOT THE TKM, FM, OR, SM FORUM!!!!

Easy there, LordDixch.

We're all just here to kill Jedi. No need to start throwing buckets of hate around at fellow bounty hunters.

I started on my sugler path on monday and have gotten up to 0/3/3/0. I read what they would like to do in the revamp but all i see areother profsgetting new content. There is even a new prof!!! This seems like a awesome profession and I am going to master it. I mean the stories i have read are content enough about the slicing customers. I have already had a couple of encounters. But I will mastersmuggler no mater how hard the devs try to nerf or disapoint me.Will there be any others though?
