If you really want to graft at your art then yes it is worth it. If you get a buzz out of making quality items yes it is worth it. If your get a buzz out of striving to be the best then yes it is worth it. If your in it to sell shoddy armor to make a quick buck then you won't enjoy it. AS takes alot of time and effort to really get the most out of it but once your at the point where you make top quality armor it is definately worth every miniute in my view its one of the best and most enjoyable professions in the game.

Hey Medics,
I Master Medic really worth it?
I can't sell the stim-B's because I don't have the crafting capabilities and I normally solo when I fight. Is there any point to be a master medic? Besides perhaps being able to fight unbuffed since one heal will fill me up completely.

Unless you plan on going master doctor as well it really isn't. The Combat Revamp will see to that though, so don't take this as permanent advice.

I am a new Initiate working towards Padawan. I see all of these issues that concern Jedi and I get nervous. Not because I mind playing a tough profession if it is rewarding, but because it seems that the rewards are not equal to the risk. It really worries me when I see Jedi post that they would use their (insert profession here) skills to beat a mod rather then their Jedi skills. Jedi are supposed to be tough, and a tough grind to get there. But once there you should not be better off using other prof. skills to survive.
The issues regarding visabilty bother me, not because they are unknown, but rather because it seems to be incredibly simple to make it on the BH terms and incredibly hard to get off the terms. And from what I have seen the logic behind the visibility is bugged as well as flawed.
I don't mind having to fight to stay alive. A jedi living during this time-line would have had a rather hard time keeping himself alive. But a dead person should not be able to report that he saw a Jedi. If you kill an NPC or a BH that initiates a mission on you then visiblity should not go up. Killing NPC's that see you using jedi skills would allow Jedi to continue doing faction missions. Killing creatures gets boring after a while. Killing a BH should not increase your visibilty since dead men don't talk, unless of course you are in a city or other populated area. A regular PC should be offered the oppertunity to turn you in or not. There should be some reward for turning you in, and some penalty for not turning you in. This allows for more role-playing as well. Trust me there were probably some people who left the rebellion to try and get a bounty on Luke. For turning someone in you would lose Reb faction, and gain Imp faction or vise versa if they were dark jedi. Also you maybe get a free pass from your next contraband inspection for turning them in, as well as maybe a harder time if you don't turn them in.
TEF's clearing and not clearing. No one should be able to get a TEF on jedi other than BH's it doesn't matter if they are grouped or not. The entire system as it currently stands lends itself to exploits. And there is no easy fix for it. If they clear Jedi visibility from the terminals upon death, they have to make the cost more than you can live with in order to keep people from just letting their BH friends or alts from killing them, which would explain current system of outlandish exp loss. However, I do agree that once a bounty is collected on you, it should be over. Jedi should have a period of time after their deaths to regain visibilty before they are back on the terms. There really is not an easy answer to this under the current system. It would make more sense that if you are killed by a BH you cannot play your Jedi for some period of time, when you come back you are cleared. As someone suggested making you a Jedi Ghost for a period of time. This would keep people from exploiting the system.
Give Jedi a reason to stick around and fight. Jedi have a huge loss and no potential gain. BH's get the cash and exp for beating a Jedi. Why not give the Jedi experience equal to what they suffer for a BH death for beating a BH. Maybe then a Jedi would stay and fight. There is no system in the world or even a galaxy far far away, that takes away experience at 100x what you can make. Make it worth it to at least put up a fight. Sometime a Padawan might lose, but sometimes they might win, and maybe it breaks out even. Maybe even give Jedi a Jedi terminal where it puts Jedi killers on it. Jedi can take out missions on BH and people that are grouped with BH's while they are killing Jedi. Jedi then could take up the hunt on BHs as well. This way higher level Jedi could help protect the padawans. Because lets say a BH kills 3 Jedi and then gets put on the Jedi Terms, this would allow Knight or Jedi to group up and go kill the BH. If the BH's knew that killing young Jedi would put them in danger of becoming missions for Jedi it would balance itself out. In logocial terms, the Jedi Council would not sit around waiting for BH's to come and kill all the Jedi one by one before grouping together and taking out the BH's. In other words make it fair. If you are going to allow one group to hunt the other make so the other group can hunt back.
Those are a couple of suggestions I have, let me know what you guys think. And is it worth it for me to continue on to Padawan?

Jedi is not worth it at this point in time...
A Jedi Knight fighting for 20 minutes to run out of force and lose to a melee stacker?
No thanks...
Maybe after the combat balance things will get better...
If not that will probably be the last straw for many established Knights.

As the game stands now, its not like jedi aint worth playing, jedi are just impossible to play. You will surely lose much more exp than you are able to gain on a daily basis. Im a pretty advanced padawan, and i still keep getting killed everyday.

What do you mean by the combar revamp?
You haven't heard of the Combat Revamp? My god where have you been living. The game is about to go through a massive change (well, it's been coming for almost a year now, but its really getting close now).
