Thread: I can honestly say I hate JTL because its way to hard.... Tier 3 is beyond hard and stupid!
That's for the storm squadron i should mention. Their missions have all seemed realy easy so far.

Ahh.... The 1st Mission of the 3rd Tier of Storm Squadron... I just compelte that today. Took me 100 Minutes to Complete, but well worth it since I now got my own IntercepterI Completed it the First Time around with only one other guy, he had 4/3/3/3 Pilot Stats, so that may be why I beat it the first time around. But, just keep trying and find a good WingMate or Two to help ya out, and It will be a piece of cake.
Oh question, does the interceptor have 2 weapon mounts? so it shoots what apears to be four bolts, like how the tie/in has one and apears to shoot two bolts. The reason i ask is cause i think i saw someone mention that it had one and that would suck to me for movie continuity to see my interceptor shooting two bolts.

i'm not even gonna bother reading any other posts... just wanna give my support to the original poster.
storm squad tier 3 is much harder than any other tier 3 regardless of faction simply because it makes u do the entire thing in ONE go... NONSTOP! That is, the Tier 3 mission is a series that first starts with an escort that immediately goes onto a rescue, then an interception, then another rescue, and then a delivery... if you haul ass, as the original poster goes, you can do it in 90 if you have a good enough group... and interestingly, each mission logs as a separate one... but if you fail one later on in the series, you have to do them ALL OVER AGAIN.
that's it. Theres no need to argue further because unless you have a group of5 people who's atleast decent in flightsims using the best available for a 2/2/2/2 your SCREWED! (and u'll need 10+ if your talkin about your average flight sim player).
and not to mention, the TIE/In (the tier 2 TIE fighter) only differes from the Tier 1 TIE by 5k mass (i think... too late to think correctly)which, if you wanna upgrade to lvl 5/6 cert, the mass difference only accounts for 2 or 3 "new" updated pieces (as higher cert stuff has insanely high mass numbers).
Then theres the TIE Interceptor Tier 3... man it's supposed to be GOOD! on the lvl of the A wing. but at the way it stands, theres no point in even trying with it as its just crap...
I helped my 2222 friend finish Storm Squadron Tier 3 mission one the other night, when I was 3323 in my interceptor. It was a total cakewalk, the only time things got even remotely interesting were when we were jumped by a random spawn of Tier 4's who we wandered too close to when moving to the next mission waypoint. Just the two of us walked all over this mission, first try.
Hard? Not really. Long? Yes.
The final tier 3 Storm Squadron mission WAS hard, but it was no harder than the final tier 3 Black Epsilon mission we did right before. Both of these took 3 of us to do instead of 2.

When I said SWG was not a loot oriented game I was referring more to the ground game. I have found some nice stuff in space actually which is a pleasant surprise.
However the only components I ever bought from a player have been level 2-3 stuff (bought to get out of my starter ship) and I think I still use that reactor (12k energy) as nothing I have looted, even level 5 reactors, has had good enough output.
So while the looted stuff is nice I have not even seen the good level 6-7 player made stuff and I imagine it is even better than the looted components, for the most part.
Unfortunately, this isn't the case. Looted reactors, engines and capacitors generally blow the best shipwright crafted ones away for the non-multiplayer craft. If you want 14k power output from a reactor, it's going touse well over 10k mass. You can find loot 13-14k reactors that are 3k mass or under. Engines are even worse.
On the flipside, you will NEVERloot armor or shields that are near as good as crafted ones, and weapons are pretty hit-miss as well.

The crafter info you supplied I had no idea they could make better then we find. Thanks for the info

Yep. As a shipwright myself, Igenerally recommend crafted weapons, armor and shields, and looted reactors, engines and capacitors. Shields in particular... I've never found a level 8/9 shield that had stats as good as the level 5 ones I can make myself. There's just no comparison.
