Yeah Ive been having this problem too, I've tried reinstalling, that didnt do anything (well it did for the first play, then bees again), tried the fullscan thing sometimes works( but we shouldnt have to fullscan everytime we play the game), and i have and 2.5 gig P4ssa2 (so there goes the amd theory), I Have a gig of ram with a 256megRadeon9800xt (so it cant be performance), and all my drivers and stuff are up to date(not gonna risk updating mobo bios for one frikken game.) But it is nice to see others wth this problem (well not nice, kinda sad really but) at least i know its not on my end its probly something on their end.

Mine was all choppy but then I noticed that damn MSN and Yahoo messenger i never use that was running in the back ground- exiting those smoothed it out.

I always lag when the NPC enemy pilot sends me a message. I got used to it I guess.

im using a logitech cordless wingman, i wonder if that could be, im gonna try not using it now, everyone having this prob should post the fact if or not they arer using usb controllers. I too hope they fix this if its indeed the case because mouse and kb isnt kind for flight sim games.(at least in my taste)

I don't mind playing the ground game while I wait for this to be fixed, but it's depressing to see people mastering pilot and you can't even go into space yet.

I don't think its the controller as I still have the problem with keyboard and mouse... no USB devices connected and no joystick connected.

Wow. This is happening a lot in deep space. At least on eclipse.

Almost impossible to hit it with the crosshair constantly doing 360's around the target.

Today was just another day I could not play without the warp bug the ENTIRE day.

O_o, whoa, I'm using a cordless Wingman, maybe that's the problem... Meh, too lazy to figure out how to fly using keyboard and mouse, but if it ends up taking me an hour or more to get it working right, then maybe I'll give it a try.

I'm pretty sure I didn't purchase World of Star Warscraft, but I may be mistaken...

256 Mb GForce FX5700

Logitech Wingman Force 3D

Warping since the day I installed JTL. On the one occasion i wasn'twarping I finished 3 missions in about 15 mins.

Pretty dissapointed right now, I see a hell of a lot of posts about this widespread problem, people have extremely different specs so it's not a Hardware issue in my opinion. Everyone here paid their money for this expansion with the expectation that it would actually be fun and new, instead this drunken bee warping has made it totally unplayable. And to make matters worse not a single response from any of the Devs. Its fine for us all to sit here and trade ideas, and its good to see that we can make progress by doing Full scans, etc. But this isn't our job, SOE has delivered a product, one that we must pay a monthly subscription fee to use, they have a responsibility to ensure the playability of this product.

Come on Devs, let us know you are looking into this, let us know how to fix it, or let us know you are releasing a patch to fix it, let us know something.

I was one of the only ones in beta who posted about this. Then something happened and it went away, until today.

I've been so busy helping people get their ships together that I haven't had time to get myself into space. So last night I take my toon up to do one mission. I get up there and all seems fine, then I start to get into areas that have npc's in them. And I notice the old familiar enemy of ships jumping around space. Then my mission spawns and it's confirmed.

One thing I noticed in addition to this. I was trying to shoot down these ships that were warping (hoping to get one lucky shot it) and I noticed my capacitor energy didn't move! The only time it did move was in the few seconds the ships stopped jumping and I could get a shot in.

This is the first time I saw these two things happening at once.

Thought I'd throw my two cents into the mix:

Every since JTL went live, I have had occurences where my throttle would zero out and I would warp backwards a bit, usually when on the tail of my target (but not always). I searched the boards for other occurences of this and found this thread. I then started seeing the "drunken bee" bug (enemies jumping around and not taking any damage, even when hit). It didn't happen all the time and when it did it seemed to fix itself after a few minutes. More often than not, the throttle/warp bug actually fixed the drunken bees. A groupmate suggested I cycle through my target's components when I wasn't doing any damage, and this worked some of the time.

I never have lag in space, my ping is generally low, and my fps is generally normal. I was using a Logitech Attack 3 joystick but it bugged out so much I switched to mouse/keyboard control. Still have the joystick plugged in though.

After reading through this thread and looking at most of the dxdiag dumps posted, I noticed something familiar. Not sure how relevant this is, but I believe it's worth noting.

All of the dxdiag's that had motherboards listed were versions of the Asus A7N8X motherboard, or equivilent Intel Asus motherboard. I myself have an A7N8X Deluxe motherboard and have the same problems withbeing unable to hit my target until the game "corrects" itself, which involves me warping back about 100m.Also during this time, I noticed my target dancing about using severe evasive manuvers.

So, how many people who are experiencing this problem are running an Asus A7N8X motherboard or equivilent Intel Asus motherboard?

My other system specs:
AMD Athlon XP 2600+

1 gig Mushkin 3200

ATI 9500 Pro
