I don't see how you could ever think camping a jedi to give them visability is a reportable offense.

Well it is.

Is it? I don't think it is. We all have this little thing inside our heads that tells us when we are doing something bad, something we aren't supposed to. Seeing a jedi out in the world grinding and then following him with the purpose of raising the chance he will be hunted does not trigger that thing in my head one bit. No one, and I mean NO ONE will tell me different or convince me otherwise.

maybe when you get some bannination for it (per the dev's) you will be convinced.

whether you agree with the game rules or not, they are the rules.

anyone who can't see how putting someone on the terms who doesn't want to be there is a problem has a very warped view. and ppl like that are what has made pvp the unfun excercise that it is.

It's one thing to claim rp that you are tracking and reporting jedi/giving vis, but the rp should be opened up to allow the jedi some defense. If vader was out grinding somewhere and some unwanted punk strolled up on him and refused to move along, you think vader's only recourse would be to find somewhere else to hunt? Hardly.
There is plenty of vis to be had without being harrassed by envious losers stalking groups. This inteferes with the stalkees' gameplay and should be dealt with as a violation of the EULA.

I say even out the PVP... Give Jedi - "Jedi Warn" - then the person has 60 secs to get away from them and stay away from them for 5min or the Jedi can Attack them.

All through the Movies Jedi were the enforcers of law(or destroyers of law), now bring it into the game.

This would eliminate the Politicians needing a City Warn feature, as they could just hire Jedi in the town to enforce the city laws.

The point here is this. The guy followed us everywhere. Our only recourse would have been to travel to a different planet, log off, or deal with getting the viz. Its not that we had to quit playing although it was an option over getting the viz, it's that by following us around we could not grind without getting viz even if we wanted to. He was delibaretly disrupting our gameplay.

I believe it needs to be brought to attention because those jedi who try to not get viz will be forced to either travel around or to log off. This is not right, no matter what. What would a jedi padawan do against a Master BH. He would die and lose exp. Then be forced to try and grind that lost exp back and risk getting killed again and losing even more exp. My fear is that viz camping will become a much bigger deal than it already is.

You have a valid gripe here. Remember way back when (almost 2 years ago) when kill-stealing was complained about? That was considered griefing back then and considered by CSR's as gameplay interfering. The gankers would say "well, they should have killed the critter faster then I wouldnt have been able to steal his kill".

Well, the same holds true here with this issue. They call you a whiner when you complain about all the vis and being hunted saying "Then dont get on the terms". But when you do go off and do your thing away from crowds, they say "your whiners complain about someone following you, complain about getting vis...stop whining". Well which is it?

I guess what the flamers here want is for you to just not play your Jedi toon. Piss them off....keep playing it. You have every right to complain about harrassment as any other paying customer. And that is what happened to you. You were harrassed, plain and simple. I would have filed a complaint ticket immediately and and started logging the chat logs. The EULA is very specific about harrasment.

What I do is go about my business normally... kill, kill, and kill some more. Then I wait for the piece to come for me. I kill HIM, then I continue going about my daily business. I have a full templated Jedi, yes, and I do understand that there are many who do not have the benefit of having a full template. I feel for you.

So, BH's camp away for all I care. I'll just be waiting for your azz to turn red so I can kill you.

Thank you. That is all.

That would be great, except most jedi wouldn't warn anyone, since they tend to run from a bh fight 90% of the time anyway.

Give a Jedi reason to fight a BH and they may stay and fight more because even now, if the Jedi kills the BH all they get are hate tells about how they are hacking/overpowered/expoiting/J3d! pansies take your pick of which one you'd like to use because from your constructive posts I'd say your vocabulary is limited to about those 4 responses.

thats actuallya really good idea

Too often players and the devs have a mindset that professions should be balanced with 1 on 1 pvp in mind. This mindset is ruining the game. The benchmark for balance should be determined by the role a profession plays in a group setting. As long as the current mindset continues we will never see uniqueness among the professions, nor will we ever see individuality within a given profession. We will never see the SWG universe expanded as the focus will only ever be balance pass after balance pass after balance pass.
