This idea is good but unfortanetly would not work. I jedi could then use this "warn" on somebody and then follow that person in order to attack them. It sadly, would get exploited.

Yeah i know. When there is a will someone will find the way to exploit it and ruin it for everyone. Thats just the way of things in real life and in this game.

Too often players and the devs have a mindset that professions should be balanced with 1 on 1 pvp in mind. This mindset is ruining the game. The benchmark for balance should be determined by the role a profession plays in a group setting. As long as the current mindset continues we will never see uniqueness among the professions, nor will we ever see individuality within a given profession. We will never see the SWG universe expanded as the focus will only ever be balance pass after balance pass after balance pass.

I notice your sig. No forced pvp ...what a joke lol. Delete every jedi if it ever gets to that point, which should be soon if it continues like this.

I think keeping forced PVP is good, as long as they make it both ways. A Jedi sees a BH they don't want around, they warn them, and the BH can flee or die.

This is how it was in the movies and other games as well, if you p*ssed off a Jedi, you faced whatever wrath they could weild. (Obi in Cantina ring a bell?)

Just that simple...

That would be great, except most jedi wouldn't warn anyone, since they tend to run from a bh fight 90% of the time anyway.

Really? I ran once, when I had 3 jedi boxes, haven't ever ran since. 99% of the Jedi I know won't run, even if they know they will probally die.

You must inspire some greater fear or something if they all run from you. It is a game ya know, why run?

While this is a lame tactic (if you call it that), and a lame thing to do to other players, i guess in the scheme of star wars there is nothing wrong with him doing that. I mean, people seeing jedi would attract attention. But now back to the aspect that he is purposely givving you vis....i honestly wouldn't worry about it. a BH will come for you sooner or later, i really wouldn't be stressin over it. Especially since he wasted his OWN hour following you guys around...i mean how lame is that?

Pretty lame lol

Just suggest to your group that you go to a city less populated and the reason. if it is a mostly jedi group that should not be an issue

Lamers like that will probably only hang out in the common grind spots

Do you know why most jedi run from a fight Warrecker?

Because in order to hunt jedi you have to be a master bh, In order to be hunted as a jedi you only have to reach padawan status. What would you expect them to do. If a low level jedi tried to turn and fight he would be killed inside of one minute. Forced PvP is not cool when Jedi have absolutely no decision in the mechanics. You just wait to get attacked and thats all you can do. Not exactly fun for the jedi as you have absolutely no recourse and gain absolutely nothing from being attacked. If it were a two way street things might be different.

is this how CSRs get things done, follow n watch players cos i doubt most players will actuly commit and act of greefing with a CSR around, and if a CSR dose do this would it be entrapment?

No. Entrapment is attempting to get somebody to do something they wouldn't normally do, not witnessing somebody doing something.

i love how the bh jedi system brings out the very best of the gaming comunity

forced pvp needs to end

If you lose your alt, I'd be all for it.

so your saying trade my broken jedi and his alt for a broken jedi only
i dont think so
maybe the the extra unlock should be a reward for completing 6 village branches and not completion of trials then people like you would stop whineing
cos some of us grinded 2 years for it my main reason for becoming jedi was the alt and extra lots i think its a just and fair reward for the gimped prof we are

Not to flame, but most jedi know not to grind at a popular avenue, and if you do have someone following you, all you had to do was /groupchat "Lets go to another city/planet".. And make sure your charactor is not searchable in your charactor options.

But I do agree with "forced pvp".. I am not a pvp fan and I prefer that the BH/Jedi system was not in place. Maybe if there was a system of vis vs xp where if you dont want to be hunted, you can choose to at a reduced xp cost or something. Not sure, but just because I have a Jedi doesnt mean I should be forced into pvp.. And dont bother telling me "thats how jedi is suppose to be", very little about this game is actually following the Star Wars vision.. If that was the case, what happened with our saber? Obiwon took a guy's arm out with one shot, Gui-Gon was able to melt doors and destroy droidikas with a few saber hits, and Mace Windu took jango fetts head off with one move.

The deal is..this is SWG and that is how it works. Fix the bugs and leave the "working as intended alone". When you see someone following you around and you worry about VIZ...go to another starport for 5 minutes.
