yeah this annoys me as well - and it has not changed since conceal is still the only skill they have specifically allowed to be used under cover.

Im trying to get a list of what commands that can be used while under cloak.

So far, the only command we have in the can-use list for the new hiding/stealth sub-system (of which ForceCloak is now a part of) is the Rifleman ConcealShot. Everything else combat-related (including heals) tends to break you out, at the moment.

It's comments like this that make me wonder if the Devs have ever seen a Star Wars movie.

You can't compare the SKILL COST of cloak with the cost of rifle conceal, yet a concealed rifleman can take an action while stealthed but a cloaked Jedi cannot?

Guys... Please reconsider channel for the following reasons:

1. You advertise cloak as an alpha strike capability...

2. To alpha strike you must get up to your opponant with a light saber because powers do little to nothing to another Jedi which is who we will fight as regular players seldom PvP and the FRS will probably be PvP for our rankings.

3. Most if not all PvP occurs in cities and/or large base environments in a group setting... Cloak takes 25 force per mob / 10 sec

4. If I am snared like AI and I have to walk through theed for 2 or 3 minutes to get to my target, I'll not have enough force left to do an Alpha strike if I cannot channel while cloaked.

at least you can do that - rifleman enter theed under cover and are discovered in about 10 secs due to the huge traffic. And we are prone when discovered... and to close to use snipershot because our breaking radius is the same as the min range on our best attack.

The lack of channel and/or the snare is going to render the skill 100% useless unless you happen to be standing in the middle of a desert and an overt happens by w/in 5 meters.

Not true - rifleman live with a snare limitation and a much much bigger detection radius all the time. (In fact the new rules may be an improvement.) We do admit that it is hard to get into the proper position but if you know combat is about to be initated by your faction it is worth the effort to move away cloak and then move into a position (such as a choke point - entry to a faction base etc) that allows you to attack incoming.

Common guys, please at least look at how this is supposed to work.

This is freaking Hilarious, how can it be, all the news we get from devs is just getting nerf on jedis, and all other profs.

IF AT THIS TIME MASTER POWERS WAS "HOPELESS", what can we say about the future !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a Master Powers/ Enchancer Heal 4040, and never changed template because i can have some fun with it, apart from be a ubber damage dealer like the Master LS, so the only thing I like to see writed here in forums is what DEVS gona do with FORCE POWERS.

Never though leaving the game till now, im sad, very sad.
We had a pretty nice game before CU, yes we had.
Shame on you DEV'S (Can I be wrong?????????)

The difference being cover is supposed to mimic the unseen sniper aspect of rifleman, the reason it is uncovered is that technically they never really were invisible just incredibly well camoflaged. The new camo style effects from the ranger revamp should apply to cover more than stealth meaning rooted but invisible.

The two skills whilst both leading to invisibility should never really be compared.

Exactly my point - adding a snare prevents getting close to your opponents for an alpha-strike, but does not prevent you from getting away fast and cloaking at 20m. People who use cloak for escaping couldnt care less about a snare because as soon as they are able to cloak, they pretty much already got away. They pretty much could stand at 20m and wouldnt be vulnerable.

And what makes you so sure that while you have FR (which is a buff mind you) on, you won't receive the following message when pressing Cloak "Cannot perform Cover while running"

Do you honestly think they are going to allow you to use this as an escape tactic again? Did you not read the explantion of why the skill is being nerfed? People using it to get out of combat to recharge and avoid dying. CAn you imagine when the FRS comes back and Cloak is the I don't lose button? Specially since they claim they are fixing the exploits on tracking/attacking a cloaked Jedi (yeah right, I predict 5 months after it's nerfed they'll have the exploits fixed)

I have a MBH/MR alt, I take cover all the time to sneak up on my target. Two things that are very different from cloak and cover:

1) No force cost for a non-jedi. Maybe the non-Jedi stealth modes should be draining mind/action since Jedi have their force drained (we are looking for balance aren't we). Having free moment is the ONLY way currently you can use cloak without having your force drop like a rock. Saying we are supposed to just sit at certain points and wait, again we are melee so we have to sit and hope someone comes within 5m of us unlike Rifleman can have a range of 65-80m.

2) Rifleman is ranged, Jedi is melee. You are snared(prone) on purpose because you are ranged and your cover breaks within 20m because again you are ranged. I seem to remember all the Rifleman exploiting cover when they could run around invisible on test. That's exactly why it needed to be different from a melee. Melee doesn't have the same rules as ranged because of the inherent advantage you have in attack range. If something decloaked us if we got within 20m of them, how do we get first strike?

Its funny, with every new patch I'm finding less of a reason to login and play.

I think the only way SOE is going to know how we feel about this product is by leaving.

After 2 years + of following and caring about this game I have come to the pointwhere I don't

wanna spend my 15 dollars a month on this game anymore.

Currently Jedi in this game are underpower Swordman who can barely heal themselves.

A Master Swordman with Doctor 4000 and 7000 Resist Armor and 75% Armor Break resist

is more of a Jedi.

Thank you for all the broken promises SOE!

Jedi

Currently have the most underpower weapon

Best offensive skill: Armor Break ican be reduce by 75%.

Healing is extremely slow

Speed is the Jedi only strength and it can be debuff by any MCM or Melee Profession with War Cry.

Seriously we are not the elite profession in this game anymore.

Dev's if you think Jedi are 1.5 better then Elite Non Jedi Combat profession then you guy need to play the game more.

Long awaited are the Jedi robes! Gone will be the days of Jedi running about in armor. The Jedi robe will provide a hidden toughness value that will protect the Jedi, similar to armor, but providing more of a Jedi feel. -TH Jedi archive II

so you dont actually have to get close to the target for the 'alpha strike'.

Last time I looked maximum range for Jedi was 32m. Not tried cyber arm tbh so cant comment if it helps or even works..
