It's not that you're "too lazy to merit a shot at a Jedi" ... you just don't want it bad enough to put the time into it. If you only have 5-8 hours a week to play ... put those into pursuing a jedi. Sure you won't be a jedi until 2006, but how bad do you want it? Oh, I see, having your fun in the game now is more important than your fun in the end. Well enjoy your fun now, but I don't want to hear you complaining when I'm having my fun kickin' your ass and your 19 buddies' in your group.
I definitely did not want it at the expense of following the hologrind path to get there. Wasting time working on a Bounty Hunter or Creature Handler or Architect that I had no interest in playing was not worth the shot at getting to playa Jedi later in the game for me. That making this choice is apparently evidence of some deficiency in my character is patently ludicrous. That I would rather follow a questing path to Jedi which seems to me to be both a fun use of my limited time and makes the end goal of Jedi more palatable is evidently another deficiency in my character.
An apparent deficiency that cannot be accurately ascribed to me is your assumption that I expect the character I am playing to be competitive with your Jedi, or PvP template stacker, or what-have-you. If it would make you feel better to come kill my character a few times, I play Hyro Protagonist on Chilastra. I tend not to accept duels because I know full well I am neither equipped nor set up for competition, but I draw TEFs on a regular basis running faction missions, and you can certainly attack me then. It will not be the first time I have been killed by another player in that regard (in fact, I am currently 0-11 for these encounters), and do not hate /tell nor come running crying to the forums when I die. I do join groups, but usually for quests and player vs. environment play, if we draw a TEF and you come waltzing through the lot of us, good for you.
By the by, I believe that Jedi should definitely be able to defeat almost any single other character in a one-on-one contest. However, if a Jedi were able to run rough-shod through a group of 20 elite master combat-profession characters without a challenge, they had damn well better be a Jedi Master, and not something much lower along the Jedi advancement. By almost, I would like to see it that Master Bounty Hunters have a very difficult, but plausible, means of taking down their Jedi targets on their own merit (within their own skill set) so they might fulfill their proposed role as a potential danger to Jedi.

I've heard rumors about certain badges affecting when the stranger visits you...any truth to this, and if so, which badges exactly do you need?

That wasn't the post he was refering too...it was the "you Jedi are lame, sad people type posts"

Dude, you really need to stop trying to interpret what we're saying and just take it for what's it's worth. Every single one of your assumptions about me is incorrect. I never once in any way indicated that I was assuming you thought your character should be competitive with a jedi.
And by the way, you're not going to impress me with all your big words. I can still understand what you're saying. So if you're assuming that I am at a lower intellect than you and am lost in your profuse egotistical display of the English language ... you would again be incorrect.
Excepting that it would appear that I stutter more at the keyboard than is usual in spoken conversation.

This sounds like it's going to be fun. I just have a question for the people testing this, what I heard was, and I know this is just rumor, and probably can't be confirmed or denied right now, is that once you get the second slot it can become FS, but only one can be a Jedi. I'm assuming you get the second slot before you start the padawan trials, and can stop your "main" just at FS then work the second slot up to FS and Jedi.
No. Both can become Jedi. It's stated officialy in the Jedi Archives.
Thanks
