I have never used it.

On myJedi I have "select group member" on SHIFT+1-7 (self on tilde), Infusion Target on <, Force Heal Target on SHIFT+<, Total Heal Target on SHIFT+CTRL+<

Then I have THUMBBUTTON (Mouse) as Infusion Self, THUMBBUTTON+SHIFT as Force Heal Self and THUMBBUTTON+SHIFT+CTRL as Total Heal.

My Doctor works the same way, but there Force Heal is replaced with Bacta Jab, Total Heal is replaced with Bacta Shot, and I also have SHIFT+Z as Bacta Toss and SHIFT+CTRL+Z as Bacta Spray.

--- Cancelled 24th November 2006
Reason: The lack of multiplayer pve content and Star Wars feel.
For 3 years I have tried to find excuses to stay in game but only the expansions offered me what I subscribed for in the first place: A multiplayer Star Wars pve experience with friends around the globe. I found friends but with almost no addition of pve content they dropped out one by one. Now it's my turn.

I must post again as to how much I really hate it. Almost sent me to the cloner again last night.

Sounds good but will it get rid of the mob agroing the healer?

So many stupid people are still alive because it is illegal to kill them.
Anyone who says, "Trust Me" can not be trusted.
It is not what you are killing but what you are allowing to live.

Why does the mob aggro the healer to begin with?

I heal my tank. Entire mob aggro's me now instead of the tankthat was actually fighting the mob. What sort of sick and twisted mind thought up that rule.

MOB: tank beat on us... we beat on tank...

TANK: fight fight fight... stand off the mob...

HEALER: ooh he's hurting lets fix that...heals tank.

MOB: screw tank, him to tough, lets kill that guy who patched him up instead.

HEALER: /sigh heal self heal sefl heal self.

I don't like this. The default heal should go to yourself, not a group member. If I want to heal someone else I will target them myself. I don't want the game to try and play itself for me. And I've been killed by a BH once because I meant to heal myself but ended up healing a group member. So yeah, get rid of it.

I find pass-through healing a terrible idea and fully support it being removed as soon as possible. I cannot count the number of times I've been facing off with some monstrocity, hit the forceheal key and gotten the message "You heal the n00b for 298 points of damage," about two seconds before my corpse hits the floor. You can't just click anywhere to de-target, because as soon as something attacks you, you will target that creature, thus bringing back the original problem. Your only option is to either target yourself (which will immediately halt your attack on your opponent), or type /forceheal self, which will waste precious seconds of your time. Or set up a macro, but then you can only heal yourself, and ifyour tank is about to fall, you mash the heal key, only to heal yourself for 51 points of damage.Ditch the pass through.

What is pass thru healing? aka Assist healing.

When you have a mob targeted and that mob is attacking a fellow group member you will attempt to heal that group member if you use a heal such as Force Heal, B. Shot, etc. This is much like assist attacking where you target your group member and hit an attack special and you will attack the same target. However, this works in the reverse where you target the mob and attempt to heal it resulting in healing the mobs target.

Pros

1. You dont have to look at who you want to heal and can stay targeted on the mob but still heal a friendly.

Cons

a. Often you intend to heal yourself but wind up getting a "invalid target" type of error because the friendly is too far way.

b. Often heal a friendly even though you really wanted to heal yourself but with the auto target system (targets what ever is attacking you) it is difficult to get yourself targeted.

c. Often wish to heal a friendly that is targeted but wind up healing a different friendly or getting an error because just as you have your patient targeted a mob attacks you and auto targets you to them resulting in a error or a different friendly getting healed.

d. The work around many use is a macro such as "/forceheal self". The down side is one needs multiple commands so that you can still heal others as well as yourself.

e. Makes using enhancers (for non-Jedi) very difficult because there isn't a command that can be used.

What are your thoughts on this topic?

i dont think its a good idea, im the kind of person who likes to keep my buttons and not have to use macros, of any sort, exscpeciually during combat

Battle is like Life, no shortcuts to sucess. Some times a new path appears where none was visible before. In this respect, such things as a secret to fighting may not exist at all.

For all the ones I see that complain about toolbar space with two heal buttons the one thing you need to learn is key binding.

The concept is good but I would much prefer it to heal myself when I heal while a mob is targeted.

I don't like it at all. What's wrong with healing yourself if nothing or an opponent is targeted, and healing a friendly if the friendly is targeted?
