Thread: Suggestion for Pearl/Crystal Fix.
I don't think we should change it as the origanl poster suggested, but make them retunable by others, with a new random quality induced.
Or just make pearl drops 100% random, but good or better drop 20% less per quality lvl.

they should fix the drop rate and make krayts harder to kill..problems solved..atm krayts are much too easy to kill so them dropping prems at their current strength isnt good
yes this would be nice ... make Ancient Krayts only killable by a group of Jedi's and make the loot they drop only for Jedi. I have always thought it odd that a Jedi has to resort to making a ranged profession character rich in order to get the loot he needs for his own profession. Now we have BH's getting exclusive missions that drop high end loot (even Jedi CA's) to sell to Jedi's that they hunt .. lol ... its a viscious circle.
just let new ones drop ... and fix what you have .. as for me i used to have a bag of 50 but i deleted .... is that very fair >??
i still have 20 but still

Suggestion for Pearl/Crystal Fix.
I recieved a PM today from a community member asking me to address his suggestion. His suggestion was this.
"With the current situation of pearl drops as they are, which is very unbalancing for the game, and the devs seems to have problems fixing it, would it not be an idea to suggest to them to remove the "jedi specific requirement" on already tuned pearls and crystals. As we all know older most older jedi have a stock of tuned pearls they dont use because they have slighty better ones in their saber ADK'ed. this will create a new market and allow older jedi to give to new jedi in their guild, or sell them if they wish."
With that said. I am also aware that this has been dicussed in the past. What I told him was maybe a re-tune option instead of just taking away names (BioLink) from current tunes. I know there are some of us older Jedi that have plenty of extras (in some cases bags of 50) but would it be fair to allow us to sell them for Millions of credits?
/Discuss
Edit:
I guess what I am wondering is would people be ok with this if proposed to the Devs? A re-tune option.

If anything it would drop the 50 mill for a Prem option as it is now and THIS WAS DONE BEFORE... in the patch 9 change.
I think a complete vamp on them would be faster then the loot issue, a retune option (say one time) would be key here and let alot of us as you just said give up the bag of 50 pearls .
So what if anyone makes money on them, when the price is 50 mill for prem I cant see how this could be anyworse considering the market with tapes and pearls now.
I have about 66 that are nothing but part of my inventory
I have 4 guildys that could use some of them and yet I cant do a thing.
Please push this as a temp fix or somthing which ever is easier

Once you ignite the saber, all crystal/pearls inside melts with the lightsaber itself. They can't be removed nor changed.
The melted crystals/pearls fill the lightsaber so you can add up to four crystals/pearls and the melted liquid must be colored.
That would be cool! Pre-9 thing.

ROFL..man please not this again (I had two Crit fails with this and lost the whole damn thing GRRRRRRRRRR)
If I had to vote, I'd vote for #1 or #3 (preferably #3, and this is coming from a pre CU Jedi Knight with almost a perfect pre CU lightsaber). Honestly, any change to the lightsaber system at this point isn't going to please everyone, and some people are definitely going to profit big from it. And fixing the pearl drops won't make things better in my opinion either. Could you imagine the huge influx of Jedi we've had lately, with their friends and guildmates, camping the Krayt Graveyard day and night? I foresee how it was way back when, when there was tons and tons of kill stealing and people cursing at eachother back and forth. That is not fun gameplay, and causes hostility we don't need in this game.
Funny I suggested such a system a few days ago and some people didn't like it, or thought it was too much work for devs.

Although I thought the penalty for retuning should be condition degradation, and never thought about the possiblity of actual quality being lowered a notch. This does make more sense.
* Jedi Should Have to Untune the crystal before trading it
*New Jedi has chance to tune it (Penalties for Retuning Subject to debate)
*Original Jedi disqualified from retuning their own pearls for personal gain
*Quality continues to degrade on further retunes until it goes *poof*
