MsNil was crying Jedi healing nerf before the BH were. I'm pretty sick of her posts quite frankly.

Isn't there a bridge missing a troll somewhere?

One idea is to allow the owner of the tuned pearl/crystal to be given an option to 'untune' the pearl/crystal. If the item is untuned, it would drop to the next lower rating quality (i.e., a tuned flawless that is untuned would become a premium). This would allow the owner to attempt another tune (maybe because the first tune was bad) or to sell or give the item away.
So when untuned you would get the following results:
Flawless > Premium
Premium > Select
Select > Quality
Quality > Good
Good > Fair
Fair > Poor
Poor > Poor
Silly question, but wouldnt this be more work than just fixing the drop rates?

I provided a suggestion. That was all.

Better pearls/crystals is the only thing the vet Jedi that actually earned their characters have over the new Jedi that have been practically given Jedi/full templates on a silver platter. Why must everything revolve around making things easier for new Jedi, might as well make Jedi a new starter prof.
I agree .. however just because some started playing the game six months earlier than others, shouldn't have the ultimate advantage forever. Right now it is entirely unbalanced with a number of Jedi weilding sabers that will never be beat, basically ensuring their path to Master should SOE ever decide to bring back the FRS.

Dont misunderstand, i dont think this is a bad idea. Id rather just see the Devs spend the time that would be required to do this on fixing the drop rate is all.

I like to see it fixed but I am beginning to feel that it is broke. Doesn't seem it would be hard to fix but then again, I'm no programmer. Maybe the drop rate will get fix after the smuggler profession gets fixed and updated.
