I've seen a lot of questions about bespin port, and as a crafter perhaps I can help clear things up a bit:
!. Bespin port increases your experimentation chance, so you take a drink every time you experiment. The port buffis lost at thatpoint, so you have to drink again.
2. I'm not sure about post-CU port, since i'm just getting to the end of my pre-CU crates, but you can't drink this stuff forever, you will get full after 3-4 drinks. So, doing 1 experiment point at a time will result in you getting full before you finish, then you have to take your chances or wait until your belly empties.
3.Although it's not as crucial as with some crafting profs that use massive amounts of resources or loot drop components, you could do all experimentation points in one experiment, and if it isn't amazing, trash it. The compromise used in crafting things like ship chassis or structures (which use massive resources) and loot drop craftables is to use 3-4 experiment points at a time, then you can get some not so good results and still have a chance to get some amazings, without filling up on port.
4. You can use multiple LS crafting tools to craft, so you can make your packs with 2 and you get done quicker since you can craft with one, then while waiting for the tool to finish, craft with the other. This technique is used in crafting grinding, I've had as many as 5 crafting tools going while grinding.
I have one question, though, are any LS components able to be factory produced? I tried to do a factory run of the packs, I could make a schem but neither equipment or wearables factories would take the schem.

I have been doing this as well. Using the bespin port usin all my experimentation points. Just hated waiting for stomach to empty drove me crazy./r plus it was the only way to get amazing on all points used. One question I have is I thought the crystal paks werent necessary to be amazing or any quality really. Is that true or not?

No it doesnt mean you cant experiment. I do not have the FS crafting boxes at all and I can experiment on my sabers.
