I don't care that you guys became Jedi, truly, I don't, its another 225k for me, but what pisses me off is the fact that you guys stand in Theed with your LS's out and about. And then you complain about visibility. I have not seen a Jedi that has not had their LS out at one point in time. I guess, you guys flaunt it too much. It kinda, in my opinion, kills the game and the storyline.
W/E though, I'm just one man, out to get my bounty, one jedi at a time.
I just have to ask: Do you always ask your mark if they have been flashing their LS outside a starport before you attack them?
or are u runnin around without weapon, fully buffed and Ab sliced armor? No?
well move along
I thought I would be more helpfull to the groups of * I hunt with then my cm mbh.
sadly I was really wrong.

Why are Jedi who kills a few cavemen in the outer rim priotized above thoose who are currently killing Stormtroopers right outside the Theed Starport?
Do you understand what would happen if NPC visibility was disabled? Then the first BH missions that would appear on the terminal where thoose Jedi who are currently camping the starport.
I don't buy all this talk about people knew that jedi was a pvp profession. I knew that rifleman was god in PVE before CU changed that but that in no way means that I have to love how rifleman is now. It's nothing like what it used to be, nor is TKM, swordsman for any other profession for that matter.
The problem with the "you knew jedi was pvp" argument is that a lot of jedi hypathectically signed on the dotted line (by choosing to unlock and grind jedi) where in the agreement it said, Random Pvp is a condition of being a jedi. THne the whole agreement and how it fits into the combat system has totally changed.....when you change the aggreement one signs, without the signee wanting it (hence the huge petition against the cu), The whole statment "random pvp is a condition of being a jedi" becomes obsolete. Therefore, the signee has a right to demand a new contract so that they are getting what they want for the money they are paying.
What I am saying is that jedi use to be powerful and dominant. Many people would gladly take the risk of random BH encounters when they could stand up to 5 BH's at once. That power is attractive....everyone wouldn't mind being that powerful if they could. Now that power is gone forever, yet you still have to deal with the consequences of having had that power. If you comprimised to be bothered with random BH encounters in exchange for the power you gained, then when the power is gone, so should forcing the random BH encounters disappear.
What's the point in being the entertainment of another player when you get absolutely nothing out of it. Not everyone who went jedi did so simply becuase they liked PVP. Many people didn't like pvp, but because they loved the power so much, they were willing to take the pvp risk to get that power. Now that the power is gone, for someone who didn't like PVP in the first place, why should they automatically bow down to the pvp crowd instead of ask for a new reward for having their jedi.....people want what makes the game fun for them, not what you or I think the game should be like. Therefore, we will always want things altered to fit the new times.
Right now, there is absolutely no reason for any jedi to want to fight a BH in any situation aside from just because you can or you love PVP. When you have no incentive to ingage in pvp, you become irritated by it and wish for an option to at least temporarily cut yourself off from being someone elses content. The answer should never be to log off your jedi or drop jedi and become a normal profession....that is discrimination in it's purest form even in a video game setting.
Bottom line is that we all pay to play this game. We agreed to the old rules under the old system. Now we have a new system but still have the old rules.....we simply want the rules updated to fit in the new system. That involves allowing jedi to temporarily play the game in a PVE setting only just like being rebel or imperial in the GCW. EVeryone has the option to be a covert rebel or imperial in the GCW and shield themselves from attack for unwanted encounters....yet jedi suffer and "HAVE" to be another players personal play toy.
Look at it this way. You have your jedi, I have mine, others have theirs. Play your jedi how you like and allow us to play ours how we like. IF we ask the devs for any changes, let the devs determine if what we ask is reasonable....no player should tell another player what is reasonable. That is not for us to decide.....I cannot tell you how your jedi should exist in this game because we don't share the same idea of what's fun.
So just because there is a law on something, doesn't mean that law don't need to change when the times you live in change. Afterall, what would it matter to the PVP jedi if any jedi was allowed to shield themselves from Bh attacks and just wanted to enjoy PVE.
As it stands now, I see no need for nerfs or anything to change in jedi to allow temporary Bounty Hunterless PVE content. All you simply would be doing is allowing a jedi to go on leave just like a rebel or imperial in which they can simply enjoy the PVE aspect of the game. A Pve jedi won't be any stronger, won't have any more power, won't alter any pvp or GCW affected things, unbalance anything that will have any major impact on the jedi who want to PVP or like the system the way it is.
IF you think this kind of wish will bring a nerf to jedi, then so what if it does.....you don't have any power any way.....we are just a normal profession and the power we had was never meant to be. The devs said it themselves. Jedi was never meant to be the powerful alpha profession it once was....now it's were it should be and everyones fear of a nerf is what's really destroying the jedi community.IF we stop fearing that we will lose power through nerfs instead of balance, we probably could have more exciting and productive post in the jedi forums and we certainly wouldn't be hated as much.
I have to say, the thing the tears the real world apart are those in a position of power who fear losing that power. A politician, a Millionaire, a CEO of a company, a Law enforcement agency will down right do scandalous things and unethical things simply to keep their position of power no matter what the consequences are on the rest of the world. Most Jedi are no different. Power is the twin of greed and evil....to lust for power is to destroy everything but what you own or have. It's a selfish trait that too many people have and it spills right over into this game. IF we all cared about the next man more than the "I got mine, who cares if you get yours" attitude, this game and the world would be a much better place.
For that reason above, I will never tell another jedi that he should take the game how it is when I honestlly know that the game is not what it's supposed to be, but because I'm happy playing it, then they should be also. That is simply stupid to think that way.
Again, I say let the devs decide what route they will take on this issue. No other player should have the right to dictate to another player how to play or how to enjoy the game.So to all jedi, get over yourselves....this is a game to be enjoyed and have fun, screw power, screw being the almighty Dark vader I'm so uber, can't be touched, lived a billion years after death in the netherworld jedi. You love pvp and as long as the devs don't force you to have to be stuck in PVE, what does it matter to you that other jedi are given the option to be PVE.

Why should Bounty Hunters be stuck just hunting mostly completed template jedi? That would force more of them into a FOTM template.Unless you wanta couple more nerfs to jedi abilities?
Lost argument. Piket's dont give vis. Grinders can hide whenever they want to.
Personally, I wouldn't mind that change but I'm thinking from the jedi end of things, and not the bounty hunter's.Anotherproblem is; where does the FRS fit into this? That is the jedi 'end-game' after all. I see absolutely no balance between a PVE-orientated FRS and a PVP-orientated one.
FRS need player interactivity. It cannot be questbased.
Light Side Jedi shouldnt earn power through killing though, since it's anti-Jedi and embraces the dark side.
Either there will be risks (perma overt) and rewards (Saber block, Force mods) or there will be none period....... PVPers will want the reward and will take the risks for the reward, the Roleplayers won't care, and the PVEers... heck I don't know what the PvEers want. Frankly I was sick of PVEing and the game at large after butchering a million creatures.
PvE = Quests,Badges, Loot

iska, its like this. i unlocked jedi the last day of pub 9, first day of pub 10 i was grinding. all that i saw were powerful jedi and i wanted to be one and was willing to put the work into it. As i was just finishing up my long jedi grind, poof, the c.u. came into effect and all the things i was grinding so hard for were gone. taken away from me after i had worked so hard to get them. really unfair that soe changed the complete system and nerfed it to a common proffesion. Its the betrayal of what we were promised and what we actually got is the deepest cut. If you are a post cu jedi then I dont expect you to understand what we were promised to be and what soe just changed their mind for us to be. So now its as if i spent 16 months for what can be done with other proffesions in 4 or 5 days is nothing but a slap in my face with no remorse from soe at all for killing this game and jedi.
actually think of the time alot of us put into it. you asking what we thought is about the dumbest question i have seen on this forum. what we thought 17 months ago was much different than what is actually happening post cu.

im going to have to second that. What i thought when i chose jedi was this is Star Wars and to me Star Wars = Jedi. Whole reason i bought this game was to immerse myself in the star wars universe and because it was star wars i knew that there would be something to do with jedi. Shoot started playing during the times of the holo grind, was trying to do that but then waited for the jedi revamp and went full steam to become jedi after that. As i stated this is Star Wars so i couldnt help myself i had to become a jedi.

Well I am one (of the many) that believe that Jedi is a PvP profession. Yet you will never find me in Theed run up and down the street waving my glowstick. I appreciate your point about wanting to be a Jedi PvE and not getting vis from anything unless you actually PvP, but understand my point. If Jedi weren't supposed to be PvP by design, then why do you get a free unlocked toon when you complete the Padawan trials? The thinking behind this is so that while you have your PvP toon, you have a PvE alt. Lastly, I hate leet speak, not to mention it's so 10 minutes ago.
