Thread: Worth to remember: Real reason why some older Jedi make up rumours
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
You read the post but you missed the point. They had a higher chance to tune better but took much longer to obtain.
You may need to tune 100 good pearls/crystals to get 1 that is really nice, but you can get them so fast today it all evens out.

Wrong! The pearls that were Pre-CU 'cr4p' are being used. Additionally, the drop rates are way lower Post-CU.

Then you are killing the wrong mobs.
Do a quick search in threads like this and you will see how fast the saber components drop off of the right mobs.
Go spend a couple of weeks gathering them and you will have the saber you desire.

MsNil wrote - That's just sooo pre-cu. Did you eBay?

MsNil you have always approched your "Forum Crusades" with a little too much "Drama" for my personal taste, but I respect the time and testing you put into your posts. However of late you have kept the "Drama" method and dropped all of the "Time and Testing" in your posts.
I have read too many posts, and spoken to too many people saying that they have had very nice tunes of good crystals and pearls since the CU to buy in to your defeatist attitude.
Tiggs has already said that there will be premiums again. The change is coming whether you post or not. Rather than trying to minimalize the efforts of the older Jedi, or worse yet crusading a nerf to the over all power of the Jedi profession, you need to get out there and loot these components and stop wasting time here making false accusations over older Jedi fearing the newer ones.
No I did not Ebay. I mastered 30 professions ATK (musician was afk), I earned 37 million Jedi XP pre CU, and 13 mil Jedi xp Post CU for template changes. I also killed thousands of dragons and tuned nearly 500 crystals and pearsl.
If anyone is being lazy about improving their Jedi it is you. How many dragons could you have killed in the time you have spent trolling this forum with your wild accusations?

And How many pearls above "quality" would she have if she had?

Umm, 20-30 pearls? i def have 200+ premo/flawless pearls stocked that i haven't used since the cu came out (all rubbish pre cu tunes), out of them just over 15 went too 120damg -9fC. and atleast -0.25 speed.

The OP did not say that 20-30 pearls would make a near perfect saber. She stated that"Pre-CU you had to run through maybe 20-30 PREMIUMS to get a good saber" So by you getting 15 almost perfect tunes out of 200 or so Premium and Flawless Pearls that means that approx 1 out of every 15 pearls you looted would be saber worthy. Post-cu Jedi would accept that considering that Premiums and flawless are extinct and the chances of getting such a tune out of a "good" pearl is well above 1 / 100.
I personally do not have perfect saber either, but at least I am lucky enough to have one that can protect me from BH and have fun with in PVP and PvE. I hunt Krayts on occassion still and out of at least 100 post-CU goodpearls, about the best I have tuned is about94 -3 fc and.13 speed. To me that is a crap tune.
I know Jedi that are almost full template that do not have a saber with max damage above 550 and then when you factor in the 30+ fc, how are they supposed to be able to survive a BH attack with all the fully capped weapons that are readily available to them.
I would also like to rant a little before I go to work.
I am constantly reading how "some" of the post-cu Jedi think they deserve to have perfect sabers and that the rest of the Jedi can (assomeone stated in a previous thread) "go to hell". You follow this ignorant statement with something like..."I have been playing since day one, I mastered 5983 professions before I became Jedi, and once I did, I solo grinded crazed Gurrecks on Endor for 14 months before I was full template. We had Saber TEF / Perma Death to deal with....blah blah blah...."
What some ofyou fail to comprehend, infact what some of you lack the mental capacity to understand......is that PRE-CU WAS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT GAME. Then all I keep hearing is how new Jedi do not deserve to have a decent saber becausetheir grind was easier becasuethey can grind in groups, were able to use respec or that they got double xp. The players used what SOE gave them in order to reach whatever goal they were aiming for. Whether it be Master Rifleman / Master BH / or Jedi.Quit hating the newer players for someting that SOE gave them and do not say that when you started the Jedi grind that if you were given double xp or respec's back then that you would have taken advantage of it as well.
All everyone is asking for is the same opportunity Pre-cu Jedi had, and that is the chance to loot the primary component for their saber so they can be viable in all forms of combat. They pay the exact same amount of money per month as you in order to play this game. So quit thinking you are almighty because you have played longer than them, because you are not. /endrant and flame away

Do you honestly believe there's veteran Jedi who believe a "Good" pearl can get a perfect tune?
I do not believe they are THAT noobish. Pre-CU you had to run through maybe 20-30 PREMIUMS to get a good saber, and the first thing I learned was that even Quality pearls where not worth the inventory space, so people made their alt's into krayt/nightsisterkillers and farmed premiums/flawlesslike crazy.Come on, everybody know this.
There's a real reason they dont want the rest to have access to what they have.
Fear...
A lack of trust in their own capabilities.
When they lose their better-equipment handicap all their comments about them being a "skilled pvp player" would be handed to them by players who really have the skill.
They do not know if it's thanks to them or their saber they win fights, so they know thatif everybody player have an equal chance, they fear they will start to lose... alot... and quickly drop back into being a nobody. And that can drive many players to sacrifice their credibility as an old-timer and make absurd claims like "Sure you can tune a good tune with a Good pearl" on the forum (which is like saying things like "Sure there are force-boosting food" or "My friend saw this holorecording and died after 7 days" or make up other kinds of insane urban legends that speak directly against all knowledge, the official F.A.Q's, and all common sense).
Also many of theese players know they have a golden ticket to the top right now, and they want that free ride once the FRS is re-enabled.
Many of theese players have taken every advantage they ever could to reach the top, and you better believe it, everything to using the best and most extreme grindtactics and flightclubs. And now they are accusing everybody else, becouse somewhere inside they feel ashamed.
Do anybody actually believe someone can grind a Jedi in 2 weeks? Are you REALLY that stupid to believe that crap? Or are you just trying to convince yourself that you are better becouse all the shortcuts you took was "better" and more "honorable"?
I have always said the best way to cut down the Jedi population is to look for Selfish posts on the forum. A true Jedi should not be selfish or greedy. Boot thoose and we improve our genepool, erase alot of childish attitudes and also improve our reputation amongst non-jedi.
And it also cut short some urban legends that dumbs down the community.
Anyway: Next time you see someone claiming "I have a perfect saber, go tune "good" ones", remember that he will be the first one put against the wall when the premiums start to drop again - and they know it.

You know...Players like you like to just start divisive posts. I am a vet player. I have a near perfect saber and I have been an advocate for better pearl drops. Frankly I am sick of seeing lower Jedi stomped on by BH with off the self weaponery and I know their are other Vets like my self who have perfect sabers who advocate better pearl drops and have no fear of an equal saber battle. Sure there are a few vets who want to hold you back but your post uses a broad brush to paint with.
A true Jedi would not post divisive tripe like you just posted. Keep in mind many new Jedi walked right through the grind in less time than many vets in the pastso you bringing up the fight clubs argument is cheap. I for one protested against the fight clubs. And I actually stayed off the terms until I completed my template.
You really need to think about what you posted. It is way out of line.
If you want to attack some one for this situation you really need to go after Tiggs and her group of moron devs.

So I am making a destinction between thoose who make up theese rumours and thoose who dont.
