Thread: Worth to remember: Real reason why some older Jedi make up rumours
I had no problem healing away damage, perhaps your template needs sorting. First hand knowledge of amateur BHs with mediocre gear right? With the right gear a BH has no problems with a jedi. This *I* have witnessed first hand and that is my point. Every other profession can have more availible top notch equipment, while jedi get stuck with a horrible tuning system, that has a direct effect on thier weapon stats. They have to have X amount of skill points into thier profession to be able to make thier sabers, While regular professions go kill this, loot that, bring it to a weaponsmith, and have thier uber weapon. Jedi have to go kill this, loot that, pray for a nice tune in a terrible system, and repeat that at least 4 times, but more likely 1000 times to have an effective weapon.
like i said its easy to come into a forum and say " its easy" ..... so why bother becoming jedi? are you going to give me that " i was always a fan and my dream was to be jedi" ...
if the proffession sucked or was truely on par with the others .. everyone and their grandma wouldnt be on the grind right now to jedi ....
I think things are stacked way to much in favor of the Ranged Professions.
its funny how many times people refuse to duel me with their regular ranged proffessions and log out and log back in with their jedi to duel ...( and no i dont trash talk .. im VERy respectful to people in-game its these people who initiate the challenges )

I didn't take it personally - I was agreeing with you.. I just don't have the killer instinct needed, nor the desire to limit my game time to just gathering Pearls to tune. I don't disbelieve you that there IS a group size that dictates the loot drops - It's just that I don't have the initiative to maximize my chances, if you understand.

well you obviously dont know what your doing then ... because if ya did .. you could get at least 5 pearls per every 15 kills easy 1 in 3 dragons will drop if you know what your doing .. my only hint to you ... group size ...
Y'know, you're right - I obviously don't know what I'm doing, since I haven't bothered to find a "magic number" that increases Pearl drops.
I just play the game to have fun - Not to go all out to find ways to get what I want and/or need.
im not trying to insult you .. im going to leave this thread before the trolling gets out of hand .. i do NOT think you are inexperienced .. or dont know what your doing ..quite the contrary i can tell from your posts you do ...... ill just say its my honest to God opinion right now that krayts are easier and drop more than they did ...so the possibility of finding decent good pearls ( tuning wise) isnt as bad as some may think ....
i dont have the answer on how to balance to post CU/PRE CU pearl problem i will agree its unfair for FRS .. and i guess being a BH .. and fearing lack of diversity in classes in this game .. i am biased in that id rather see PRE CU sabers nerfed as opposed to premiums dropping again ...
im outta this thread hehe

There are posters even in this thread that are saying that they personaly have tuned good pearls/crystals with stats that are very nice.
Rather than the conspiracy being older Jedi that want you to believe nice tunes are possible, I think the conspiracy is for newer Jedi to make us all think that good tunes are not possible.
No matter how good your saber is it will not help you if your template is poor, or your group has less experiance than your opponents. It is very likely that not only do the older Jedi have better sabers but that they have been playing the profession longer, and working as a team longer than you and your friends have.
Either way experience with your template, fighting as a group, and better pearls come over time. Now stop making conspiracy theory threads and go spend more time on all three.

gimme a break. no one can see the future you dont know whats coming.
i DO have to say i /agree with the OP 100% in that the Jedi that DO have those are holding on to thier glory with a deathgrip. In my short time as a jedi not have i seen 1 ""Oldtimer(pre-cu) helping new jedi. well...thats not true either
/salute Emrick Starstrider
he has help me directly along with my fellow guild leader
so whats the point of this post.
this...Buck up and take your stands as Older jedi. Stop screwing the new guys and help them we are all in this profession togetherfor one reason or another. It shouldnt matter, most of the jedi i see dont act like jedi. just my PoV.
I'm a pre-CU Jedi. I'll direct you to my post, read it please. We all need to stop lumping others into piles!
No the main reason that premiums don't drop is becauseof the combat level of the krayts. They used to be what 280ish, so they lowered it but didn't adjust the loot tables. They didn't do it to chokeoff a Jedi's ability to have an effective weapon, they did it you make that content more assesable to the masses. If they did it to keep jedi from having a decent weapon , they wouldn't be looking into a new way to implement them. They're response would have been more like "Sorry but these pearl drops have been deamed unbalancing and will not be re-implemented back into the game."

I usually don't respond to inflamatory posts like this, but in this case I think I will. You supposition that all older jedi "FEAR" you is a bit of an exageration. Maybe some of them do, maybe, but posting it like it's some absolute, indisputable fact is rediculous. You must realize that most of the people that have these perfect and nearly perfect pre-CU sabers are hardcore players that love PVP. Most of them are already good, with or without these pearls.
To speak of entitlement though, I do feel I worked harder that a lot of Post-CU jedi in getting my template. And I feel I was lead to believe, as I worked for jedi for over a year, that I would be more powerful than I was by the time I finished. I did the grind alone, and in my spare time, I killed krayts over the entire year trying to get great pearls. And I did get them. And my saber is very nice now. Do I not want you to have the same pearls? I honestly don't care if you do get them. But I use to be the swordsman tank or the nuking rifleman back before the CU and Krayts took a long damn time to take down. A group of 8 now can own even an ancient in less than 3 minutes. And regardless of what some of you say, I've been around since the beginning and krayts are deffinately easier to come by now. I didn't even see an ancient for the first year I was in the game.
If they make the challenge equivalent, then I don't care if they give you your pearls. What I do care about is the power of my character, one I worked a very long time to get being marginalized by posts like yours MSNil. You perpetuate the hatred between what you percieve are different ranks within the jedi profession and then clamor for equality while you wish nothing more than to prove you are better than everyone else if you only had what they had. I understand your frustration over not being able to achieve that level, but you incite hatred between your fellow players instead of constructively working for a better solution.

And by the way, I rarely ever PVP. And I don't FEAR... you. I just wish whiny people like you that demand to have things on the spur of the moment didn't seem to lead the mob mentality of this profession.
Yeah!!! What he said!!!!0ne1!1111!!!
Err . . . wait . . .![]()
Had to lighten it up a bit. ![]()
Nobody need to go further than SonGouki's old posts to know the truth.

On the upside, with lower damage/higher force cost sabers, newer Jedi will have to develop more skill to compete. That is the tough-love approach! Though it is hard to develop skill playing catch up and/or on the way to the cloner.
True story!
QFE!
Me, myself, and I agree! Weird!

you want proof its to limit jedi power? here you go .. a verbatim quote from TIGGS
"The possible stats that a pearl can give you are the same, regardless of the pearl quality. The only advantage a "premium" pearl gives you is a better chance of getting higher stats. "Fixing pearls" would be a matter of changing the level ranges for different quality pearls. This would be a retroactive change which would suddenly change all the pearls in the game to be high-level pearls, increasing the power of Jedi globally and almost instantly - Unless we simultaneously lowered the advantage of premium pearls so that they don't give as much an increase to the odds of getting higher stats as they do now."

All that proves is that the Devs have no idea what is going on in the game. Firstly, you'd have find and kill a krayt. Then the odd chance you get a pearl, you have the odd chance it's a premium pearl, and the odd chance of getting a good tune from it. Hardly instantaneous and certainly not without time and effort. This is the stupidest thing they could say, and that's not saying much you those who believe it.
