with +87 melee and +140 ls accuracy I do not want to be missing 1 in 10!
Saber damage is too low. Stupid low.
Regardless of my speed modifier, and with Speed2 and with attachments, the combat log still says I hit once every 3 seconds or so. This is retarded. I will take the low damage sabers have if I can hit once per second like I should. Otherwise, saber combat is still too slow.
I worked hard to make a 12 pt LS crafting suit. Yet, my pre-CU saber is still better. I suggest you bring crafting up so it is inline with Pre-CU sabers and then 12pts make them even better. (notice I said nothing about changing the pre-CU sabers!!!)
Lower SAC on sabers....I can make an 82 rifle. I should get that with a saber.
Have experimentations have more of an impact on the stats when experimented on. Not 1 box = 1 point in adjustment.
So when are we going to be able to reflect blaster bolts back at our targets? That is a pretty big thing with Star Wars.
Pearl drops seem to be the biggest Issue, but this is a jedi issue, not a lightsaber discipline one.
By claiming its a jedi issue. it means that pearl drops are effectiving Jedi accross the board. it has nothing to do with the lighsaber discipline, its specials, skill modifiers, abilites, etc. This focus thread is looking at the Lighstaber Discipline, not Jedi issues
but u see pearls is not a jedi issue it is a saber issue u dont hear about the jedi runing around with master force and shoting people with there laser rifles complaing about pearls only jedi with sabers give a rats butt about pearls so it is a saber issue has nothing at all to do with jedi only jedi pearls affet r jedi with a lightsaber wich is what this thred is all about

(1) fix speed bug
(2) more premiums dropping again: like you never figured this one out ![]()
(3) a powerful single creature hit at the master box, similar to a BH/swordsman critical hit maybe?
(4) this is a weird one, but it makes sense to me. Change the timers on dervish/area attack to make them similar to headhit/leghit/bodyhit. All players will alternate between their 2 most powerful damage attacks in order to win a fight, but as it stands this isn't possible with dervish/area attack. Tweaking the timers so that they could be used in a similar way to the single attacks would be cool ![]()
"Reduces armor effectiveness."
Issue: Armor Break is severly overpowered and unbalances the entire system.
* It lack counters
* It's a level IV counter against a Master (Defender).
* It's essential in any template to win duels in 1on1 battles.
* The effect is shared to other players, so only 1 player need to apply the state tocancel armor.
*-65% almost double damage output against that opponent.
* It works against non-armor armor such as Innate Armor.
Unless Blind and Stun is improved to also do a total of 200% damage or an equally amazing effectthe effect of basic and improved needs to be severly reduced.
Swordman ArmorBreak: -30% 15sec
Swordman Improved Armor Break: -50% 20sec
Swordman Advanced Armor Break: -60% 30sec
Lightsaber ArmorBreak: -45% 20sec
Lightsaber Improved ArmorBreak: -65% 30sec

You are loosing health due to bleeding injuries."
When we tested: 3 ticks of damage, 21 seconds between, 24-27% of what the initial strike did.
Issue: Bleed is underpowered and barely do any damage at all. The effect is also reduced even further by armor. You rarely bleed for more than 150-200 total damage divided over a full minute. A single Body Hit do more damage than both the Saber Slash attack AND all bleedticks together!

Armor
Defenses
Pearl Drops
Force Bar
Another Power in the Master Box
Lightsaber could do with another power in the master box, such as Parry Riposte Stance.
Block
Body, Head and Leg Hit
Theese three are the same. It would be better if theese actually did a small effect, such as:
Body Hit: May cripple attack speed, or delay...
Head Hit: May cripple mind regeneration, apply a daze...
Leg Hit: May cripple action regeneration, apply a snare...

- power hit needs to be a master ability
- block still doesn't block melee attacks -i'd sure like to see that implemented, it's dumb that we can't block a regular pike with a saber. (animations for it would be nice too)
- be able to loot flawless pearls again....or quests to get flawless crystals....
- sabers with 4 pefect pearls should be on par with rifles (or better)
- sabers need a deflect ability (somewhat like duelist stance) to block shots back at the shooter.
Well, the obvious problems are a lack of flawless and premium crystals and the bug with the speed resetting when crossing server boundaries.
As far as what I'd like to see, it'd be nice if Dervish was a more useful skill, most MLS I know really don't use it, since it doesn't hit for all that much more damage than spin attack and requires such a high force cost. If it applied some states like it used to that might help.
The other thing I would love would be to get back the saber block animations as opposed to the +block+ text. I thought the animations were really cool, when we had them. Also maybe an ability to use saber block to reflect ranged attacks back to the enemy would be very nice at MLS or in the tech tree.
Lastly, I would really love to see a 5th Gen saber at MLS. If we get a 5th gen saber then I don't care if they change Dervish at all, lol.
Thanks![]()

We have the lowest max damage weapon for CL 54 cert(T21's are around 456 - 990 unenhanced).
Stun, dizzy and blind need to put back into dervish.
Dervish should do damage if its meant to a "devastating attack".
75% armor break from looted smuggler parts now makes armor break almost useless.
Prem and flawless pearls need to be dropping from ancients again etc.

Focus Thread: Lightsaber
Okeveryone this is your chance to let me and the rest of the community know what is going on with your Discipline (Notice I did not say Profession). I realize that there are certain issues that may or may not be considered exploits that have recently brought up, please send me PMs if you have any questions about this. DONT post them in this thread! Lets here what needs to be done with Lightsaber to improve and/or balance it.
saberblock should block should have a chance of blocking all attacks, not just ranged, ranged, however, should have a chance of being reflected back at a random opponent that is engaged in combat with the jedi or his or her group
5th Gen sabers would be nice OR an additional attack at master that does more damage...maybe 2.1 with no warm up OR a 1.9 area
we need individual recoveries for stun, dizzy, and blind, somewhere, preferably in the padawan box, heal states would stillbe able to cure them all, this would just allow all jedi the same recoveries any other meleeprofession gets as part of their build
I personally would like to see Lightsaber Block undergo the following changes:
- Lightsaber block should +Return Fire+ back. Example, Jedi Blocks Adv.Critical Shot and depending on how high your Lightsaber Block(or maybe a base it on LS Accuracy ?) skill mod is, itmight +Return Fire+ back at the source.
- Lightsaber Block should also count towards OTHER LIGHTSABERS. In the films lightsaber battles sabers can block others sabers and do so frequently. I belive there should be some special "fluff" animations for a sucessfull Lightsaber blocks to make Jedi v Jedi battles more cinematic.
