Little minds... Jango points gun at Mace windu (or however u spell it), Mace flicks wrist, Jango looses his head.. Jedi= Dead BH.

Example : In episode 2 the Bounty Hunter's droid drops the poisonous centipedes into Senator Amidala's room and not until those slimy creatures are about to bite, do Obi-wan and Anakin actually "sense" danger...
Why do you guys want to be gods? why can't you just settle for Jedi?
Ok episode 2, Obi-wan and Anakin chasing the same BH that sent the slimy creatures in a speeder moving at extreme speeds. Jedi then move off in what appears to be the totally opposite direction, Anakin jumps out of speeder and lands on top of the BH's speeder... now how did he know.. Lucky guess?
Again Episode 2, shortly after speeder crashes.. BH scrambles off into cantina.. now here is where you gotta really think, i understand this may be quite difficult for you.. Obi-wan tells Anakin, go search the place, im gonna go have a drink.. now do you think anyone is gonna do that? No, not unless he knew full well that the BH was gonna single him out and try to attack... oh and again... end result Jedi = Dead BH
We dont want to be gods, we just want to be Jedi.

Just my thoughts on this issue but i think the whole concept of sensing that you're being tracked is a bit over the top. Sure Obi and Anakin sensed the danger to Amidalla BUT they were blatantly looking out for that. Fact is that giving Jedi the advantage of having a TEF on a BH with a missions at 200m also seem a bit of a shaky concept. Reason being that an assassin who is out to kill you will appear as just another face in the crown and you wont see it comming till it's on you.
On the other hand if a BH attacks and fails it stands to reason that a Jedi will be familiar with someone who attempted to murder them and the BH should therefor have a **Permenant** enemy flag to that Jedi.
Ok, lets even put this on simpler terms, putting jedi senses aside even though we know that they have them.. You do realize that the probes that you launch are not that small little device that you are using , the probes are actually quite large and in fact travel through space and would come crashing through the atmosphere causing quite a light show, along with a huge crashing noise now if you were out in the woods fighting and this happened near you, dont you think for a moment that you would notice this occurance? Ok that being said, you will also note that when you launch this probe (might be seeker cannot remember off hand) that when it sends you the wp it also says that your target has been notified that he is being tracked... this right here tells me no matter what the result of this debate that its already in game that Jedi will get a message of some sort that they are being tracked.
Also, obi-wan and Anakin were in a heated debate... And as far as the 200m thing, and hiding in the crowd.. being as most the time the BH will be the only other Humanoid within 200m , i think you'd stick out like a sore thumb.

As long as the droid stays next to you long enough to target it and destroy it, I have no problem with droids being active. Want to find me? Pray I'm not farming your droids.
1 starred for wanting to be able to do what NPCs do all the time. I love the BH idiots.

Just to clear up this myth, NPCs don't destroy tracking droids...
They run out of power, get eaten by space slugs, malfunction and explode, they don't get destroyed by marks.

I meant the players are equivalent. You delude yourself by thinking that all BHs are "stupid idotic" or "mindless children" when there are just as many exactly the same types of people playing Jedi. Jedi players are the same as BH players. Neither one is more trollish, mindless or idiotic than the other. People who played BH now have Jedi, the exploiters and terrible people everyone hated often have their own Jedi. Jedi players are in no way more intelligent or noble than anyone else. You call BHs griefers in one paragraph and then in the next, seem tosanction the griefing of BH player by Jedi...

Of the two, only BHs are hopping into every other profession forum and whining and bitching when a profession gets fixes instead of them. Only BHs are calling every other profession a bunch of whiners for wanting fixes to blatant oversights and bugs in their skill trees and in their entire system of play. Only BHs are coming here telling us we don't need defenses and then turning around and saying stuff like "I can't wait until droids are fixed, we're going to own you all so easy." Only BHs are looking for the "I win" button, but they want it as a passive skill so they don't even have to push the button. Given these blatantly obvious facts, I'd say BHs are more trollish than any other profession on these boards. As a Pikeman you should be irrate that BHs consider themselves to be "the most bugged class in the game" (and that's a direct quote). As for him (or anyone) sanctioning a Jedi griefing a BH, when people get what they deserve it's called poetic justice. Griefing a griefer is one of those grand examples of poetic justice.

And in Ep I, Qui-gon and Obi-wan feel danger on the trade federation ship when they are about to be gassed. Qui-gon feels Darth Maul coming on tatooine and tells Obi-wan to get on the ship with Anakin. Qui-gon blatantly says to Anakin's mother "he can see things before they happen, it's a Jedi trait." What more do you need, a giant Neon sign saying "we can sense danger" with fireworks all around it?

Not so. Jedi have asked for several nerfs/changes to other classes. Not only skill loss, but for specials to be moved or changed somehow (area track for example). Jedi want the "I win" button to be an integral part of the class, given in the initiate box. I agree Jedi should be more powerful, but the idea of power came with rarity (no longer exists) and difficulty (ginding millions of xp is not difficult, just dull). I don't want dozens of high-powered leet-talking Jedi running around my server controlling pvp everywhere.
I have had issues with the BH attitude in the past. It is more pronounced and evident in a lot of Jedi players. BHs a lot of times (not only, granted) come into these forums because of posts asking for nerfs to their profession.
My point was that on average, Jedi players are the same as BH players and calling them "stupid idiotic" and "mindless children" smacks of elitism.

You are deluded, and I don't have the time right now to post every reason why. When I get a chance I'll explain what Jedi "want" and it's most certainly not the "I win" button. It's what the devs promised since beta. You are also deluded to think that rarity doesn't exist, the system of unlocking Jedi is changing to make it more rare, and Jedi are about to be instakilled because of lack of defense and the fact that any idiot BH can find us by double clicking a droid and getting a waypoint. Trust me, Jedi will be more rare after Publish 7 than they have been since they were added to the game.
SimianHunter,
I have read many of your posts over the monthsandappreciated many of them, but here you seem to have lost your mind somewhat. Last I checked, NO ONE HAS YET TO BE TRACKED BY A BH DROID.Much fear of BHs isexaggeratedas seenbymy experience as a BH. So before everyone gets too upset we might want to wait and see what happens. I played an MBH for several months and I hunted a couple of Jedi despite the pointlessness of it and was well rewarded with a total waste of time. Since then I have decided to chase my own hologrind til I am either successful or forced to change my method by the eventual change in FSCS acquistion.
While several people here seem more interested in unproductive name calling or near/total rants on a subject not yet seen in action, the time could be spent better. I have no fear of forced PvP by a BH, assuming I ever reach the vaunted Jedi status. And I think you, and others here, should not be either. Some fairly straightforward strategy combined with things already known like the fact that Jedi have to die numerous times at Initiate before any danger to the hard earned xp is threatened. Like if you get 2 deaths, time to logout for a while(inconvenient tho that might be). Like don't hunt in the same 500m square area non-stop for hours. Like work on discovering what really puts you on the terminals. After all, thereare many Jedi on these boards that claim to have never been on the terminals ever. Like work on all Bounty missons going "Incomplete" on a succesful kill of a Jedi (which I strongly believe is fair). These things all, and more, would be more helpful then poorly focused anger.
I wish you luck on your Jedi character as I hope to play one some year too.
Asheesh

No, you're deluded! Hehe, this is fun. ![]()
I agree Jedi should have the abilities promised early on, but a lot of things were promised early on that have changed. Personally, I don't have a problem with Jedi being rarer, but that's me personally. I have problems with the Jedi attitude (not the normal complaints over valid issues, but the extra stuff we see on these boards)
I'm really only here sayingthat one side calling the other side idiotic is inane in itself, whether it's a Jedi or a BH doing it. There are players of all kinds on both sides. BH whine, Jedi whine, BH call for nerfs, Jedi call for nerfs, BH want more power, Jedi want more power. Can't you guys just see....that you're in love with each other?

Shoulda went into a little more detail on that and yes i do agree there are alot of the same type people playing both professions.. And no i was not sanctioning the griefing of a BH player by a Jedi, just stating that is more then likely what will happen.. Personally, as im sure it is with some of the Jedi at least, I welcome an occasional distraction from the mindless grind that is Jedi, in the form of a SINGLE Bounty Hunter on a mission to take me out.. However, while i am doubtful that it will be a single person (after reading these posts) i am more likely to believe that there are gonna be groups of players behind a BH doing this, with some of thier friends waiting at the cloning center (I can only hope that the devs program the system in a way to prevent at least this part).
Also, there is the thought that a few weeks after this is implemented the little children will get bored with the new toys, and we will be left with the actual bounty hunters that are just doing thier job and working alone..
