Tybar, you have no idea what you are talking about. For you to assume a BH to use an LLC on a melee profession is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. This is how I would engage a jedi.

Spray Shot-Knocdown Fire-Sprayshot (twice)-Torso Shot, Eye shot, bleeding shot, health shot 2.

That's the only pre-made move I would do, after that it depends on the armor they have (Do they have their body armor on, do they have leg armor? For leg shot? Do they have a helmet for eye shot? Which ham is the highest?)

If that is your thought process for combat, BHs will eat you alive. Any BH dumb enough to take on a Jedi with an LLC is asking for it.

Bounty Hunters hunt jedi for many reasons. Some are indeed griefers. Others, like myself, are Bounty Hunters. A bounty on a Jedi is the most lucrative Bounty we can get. Why would we pass up the chance at 150k? It's not just the credits or the xp either. It's the thrill of the hunt. Knowing you are tracking someone across the galaxy. 10 possible planets, countless cities, and so on. Your radar is your danger sense. What could they possibly implement that would make it different? Have us con red? Why? You guys hunt among red cons anyway (not all of you). Part of the excitement and challenge of being a Jedi (or FS) is knowing that someone may be after you at anytime. You don't find that exciting? Permadeath is gone now. Play smart and you won't lose skills. Someone up the thread a bit mentioned Jedi logging out. Personally I can see that happening alot. Real life reasons for logging out thats cool. But I predict after Pub 7 (considering it actually works) we'll see tons of posts on the BH boards about Jedi logging, with Jedi replies stating some sorry RL excuse. I think logging out because you know someone is on you is very dishonorable, so is running. You are a JEDI. Not a coward. BH is has only one code. Any Job for the right price. Thats how it works. Well thats my two credits worth of rambling. I just had some points I wanted added. take it for what it's worth.

just a thought....dont rangers have the ability to sense when they are being stalked by a creature.....i dont think adding a similar ability to jedi would be a diificult thing to code into the game.

not to mention this woulld fall inot the continuity of the movies, books etc....

I suppose I can't speak for all BHs...however I just grow agitated of the Jedi (not you, but others). saying that my motivation is either that I am jealous I'm not a Jedi, or just a plain griefer. I'm not a griefer, and I'm not jealous, I just want to have fun, and what's more fun than the whole Jedi vs BH aspect of Star Wars? If I were a Jedi I'd think it'd be pretty cool to be in such a situation, and it'd get the adreneline pumping knowing that I"m the prey at any time; and if I die, oh well, there is no more perma-death, and I would have had a fun time in the process of dying, more than likely.

Do I think it would be cool to be a Jedi? Hell freaking yes. Do I think it's worth the current hologrinding? No. Am I jealous that I am not a Jedi? No. Do I have a right to have fun, just like a Jedi does? Hell yes.

While yes, if im still playing when they do publish 7, i would love to be hunted... fact i'd probably try getting on the BH boards as long as i know im out of the skill loss zone.. However there are few concerns really that most Jedi will have over this. First being the griefers (i wont even go into how the BH missions are bugged, etc.) Second one being the simple fact that it takes 33.4 million Jedi xp to reach Master and as it is currently the average player that has a Jedi character gains 50k-100k Jedi xp a day, this means playing every day (Providing they actually get the crystals to build thier lightsabers) it will take most people 1-2 years to master the Jedi profession. And simply, every time a BH comes after them it takes away from the time they have to actually xp and advance thier character win or lose the battle just means how much wasted time there will be.. Personally, i know a few jedi that would like the sense danger so they can just kill themselves rebuff and continue xp'ing to minimize the time wasted.

Yes if this was real life perhaps you would be right, but this is a game, and should be relaxing, no matter what profession you are one should not have to sit there and pay close attention to every aspect of the game to know whats going on, it is very wearing, tiring and senseless.. The fact that you expect the PLAYER to do things that you yourself as a PLAYER do not do yourself is outrageous. Now for the character itself to help you look over your shoulder as you so put it, does make perfect sense, and sensing danger is very much part of the jedi character it should be in game.

No you are completely and FLATLY WRONG! The devs were very open about wanting the jedi life to be as difficult as possible. If you want a relaxing profession go become a tailor. Jedi were meant to be a class that is etternaly exposed to PVP risk. They get flags for their actions because half the galaxy wants them dead. Half the point to Jedi is the immense amount of effort required to get anywhere which is exactly why initiates are as weak as they are... you have to work HARD to get anywhere and even then you are at great risk.

ANDin the actual storyline Jedi are not loved by the "people" very much either. They were viewed as the "enforcers" or even the SS by a large percentage of the population and were very much feared and distrusted.

In short Jedi are getting alot of things looked at and have already had one MAJOR change in that they no longer suffer perma-death... that alone should keep most of your yaps shut for 2 minutes... but nooooo, simpltons cannot be stopped...

First off, do you know anything about Jedi and thier skill tree at all?? Or there skill set and how they are used?? Obviously not, otherwise after a quick analaysis of it, you would suddenly become aware of just how Fubar Jedi actually is, you think removing permadeath really did us any big favors?? Go, unlock your FSCS and then log in and look at that tree, i dare you. As far as it goes only a simplton such as yourself would come in here and act like the Jedi profession is anywhere near complete and ready for PVP situations as the BH tree is, or any other combat profession is for thatmatter.

Yeah, unfortunately we have so many BHs frequenting these forums, that any intelligent post made by Jedi players gets 1 starred for being logical and true.

I think a jedi should have the choice to participate in pvp or not, but....almost every jedi would choose not to participate in pvp, if you didnt lose skills, it wouldnst be that bad to get capped by a bh but i dont get to play that often and when i lsoe a skill it takes me forever to regain it

Well SimianHunter, I can see the future... The stupid idotic BH's will use the Jedi bounty missions as a griefing tool for a month or so.. then with the next publish the devs will realize this and remove it and put the coding for it, right next to the coding for citywarn..

Or...

With the Jedi revamp, suddenly we will be as we should, and totally rip apart any bh that is stupid enough to come near us... at which point the Jedi will then exact revenge and start hanging out in cities randomly griefing anyone that remotely looks like a BH.

Either way you look at it, something that coulda been fun for all, will be totally trashed by the mindless little children.

Example : In episode 2 the Bounty Hunter's droid drops the poisonous centipedes into Senator Amidala's room and not until those slimy creatures are about to bite, do Obi-wan and Anakin actually "sense" danger...

Why do you guys want to be gods? why can't you just settle for Jedi?
