Thread: CIVIL Discussion about a New FSCS system
Actually while this game was in concept and they said no jedis I personally said sure why not since the storyline says blah blah and you all know what it said hehe.
Personally my favourite char in star wars was Han Solo and of course he was not a jedi.
What I am pointing out is this.
1)They did a lousy job(sorry SoE have to say the truth) recreating the star wars world.
2)When I started playing most people wanted to be in a star wars world. Most never cared to be jedis (I think its bull when people say most bought this game to be jedis). But due to very poor content(it is still poor now),a world far far way from been star wars people have nothing better to do then grind FS slot or basically just quit.
3) They can make it so there is 2 routes to opening the slot .One the old way to keep those close to mastering all professions from having to start again.Second way a quest way for those that not got far or none at all.Just stop holocron dropping and make then no drop loot.
I dont really think that the overall players mind that we get a new way to unlock. We have allways complained about the one we have atm. What i think is the biggest and actually the only problem here, is that people are afraid of loosing their hard work. I dont blame them since this is my biggest fear aswell.
And when i say hard work i mean the professions done after silent. Yes professions are just guesses and can have as little to do with the FS SLOT as a vid screen has. But its a part of the work that needs to be done to uptain the slot. And this needs to be recognized, and the DEV's has to think really long and really hard about how to compensate us for this. If they messure this by the holo's that have been done, we will not only be overrun by Jedi, we will allso have a battleground as a forum. 75% of the players out there will either leave or become the worst troll's the gaming community have ever seen.
I dont say that the quest is unimportant, i say it is second priority. They can make an averedge quest/quests we can live with untill they get it polished. We can not live with 75% will be mokked with a terrible comoensation.
So no.. Let them make the quest and letssee what they come up with. But they have tofocus on the compensation really really hard, cuz right now icant seehow they would do this propper.
Wow noF... words! Im proud ![]()
So civil discussion must mean like minded right.
anything short of giving me a pass - I am silent will be to little too late - This is asssuming the DEV dont flip flop again.
They will have to have a control on the Jedi - If its not the BH with Perma Death - please think about what it will be....Jedi cap...Broken quest...players fleeing to WOW...big time jedi nerf?
This is preserve the holocron investment and preserve the player effort spent so far.
At the least, extend the holocron grind by 3 months to allow those who had started a chance to finish.
I definately like the idea of allowing people who are significantly into the profession process to continue with that path and/or choose the quest option (or whatever is developed).
From the standpoint of a player who has put in a LOT of time into trying to become a jedi, that is something that will give me reason to continue playing. Many (and I mean a majority) of us where stressed out about the FF message and worried about our efforts being reduced quite minimally. This solution would eleviate the stress that has come with that worry.
From the standponit of Sony/Lucus, a transitional period like this is wise, in my opinion. It allows for the current playerbase to remain loyal and/or renew a better loyalty. Along with that, it introduces the new system that many people prefer, and most (or all?) new players will be able to partake in if they choose.
"Assuming" our time we've put into grinding is not wasted (equally compensated, or allowed to continue that path to jedi), than I for one am quite happy with this announcement - for the sake of SWG, individual players, and the entirety of communities in the game.
