Yoda is powerful and the opitome of a Jedi, by the book and to the letter. And those qualities make me question his real character, because a true Jedi is quite cold and emotionless. I still like Yoda because he does have a sense of humour.
I don't like Mace Windu, and never have. I will admit I never read about him in any books, but his character in the movies portrayed a Jedi Master with too much anger and personal motives. He should have never wanted to kill Sidious immediately. He should have arrested him (or attempted to), being a member of the Council, knowing better than letting fear or anger cloud his judgement. Something tells me he is habitually too quick to kill for a Jedi.
Quai Gon was a bit more of a realist, willing to bend the rules when necessity demanded it. He was too much of a pacifist in his manner though and not the best warrior out there (for a Jedi).
Anikan was a putz. It took being burned alive and chopped up by his old master to wake him up to reality, and make him grow up. Unfortunately for the Jedi, he was firmly in the Sidious' hand at that point and couldn't use his newfound wisdom to serve good.
His son luke was also a putz. He did grow up a bit in the end, but was still not much of a Jedi. Personally, the way his character was, I cannot understand why he was able to resist the darkside, he seemed to be an easy target for Vader and Sidious.
I guess I will include Sith and Dark Jedi.
Dooku was a bozo. He was powerful at persuasion and manipulation, but he apparently thought this power extended into his physical abilities, which it did not. He barely held Anikan and Obi-wan at bay and fought them one at a time anyway. Not very impressive for a dark jedi master. His duel with Yoda was pathetic. Yoda could have finished him in short order, but Dooku took the coward's way out. Too slick and oily to even seem like a Jedi.
Maul was more of a brute. A Sith tough who did his Master's bidding. He didn't have much of a character. He was as interesting as a saber-wielding robot when it comes down to it. Deadly, dangerous, scary....but nothing more. I don't like him at all.
Sidious is impossible to like. Even if you like the Empire and the Dark side, he is a politician and manipulator to the bone. He's like a modern politician and dark jedi master rolled into one. Nobody likes a politician.
Vader...hands down the best of them all. Powerful in the force, powerful fighter, powerful in his mere presence. A man who could walk into a room and instill fear amongst friends and foe alike. He truely was Anikan Skywalker no longer. He was the opposite. If anything, he was the truest character in the series. Where others contradicted themselves constantly and left you questioning what everyone's motives were half the time, Vader was like a stone. You know how he would react to every situation. Someone talking smack? Choke em out. An old Jedi master bumps into you? A few quick words and saber time...less talk more attack. Your long lost son come to confront you? Beat his sorry butt like the putz he is and then, being the good Dark Father you are, offer him a place at your side.
If I have to pick a light Jedi, I will pick Yoda because I still remember seeing him when I was a kid in the movie theatre, and I loved him then, but overall, I'm a Vader fan.

Form VII was an incomplete form for millennia. It was further developed by Jedi Master Mace Windu, who could complete it with his Vaapad fighting style. The most challenging and demanding of all forms, Form VII requires intense focus, high levels of skill, and mastery of other forms. Only three Jedi have ever mastered Vaapad fully: Mace Windu, Depa Billaba, and Sora Bulq, who instructed Quinlan Vos in a few of its basics. It is supposed Darth Sidious trained Darth Maul in Form VII combat. Sora Bulq helped Windu develop Vaapad, but Bulq and Mace's Padawan, Billaba, proved too weak to master the flow of the light and dark sides, and fell to the dark side. In this way, Vaapad mastered them. Many believed Plo Koon could master Form VII, but he believed that it was too dangerous so he took on Form V instead. In KOTOR II, Jedi Master Kavar can teach this form to the Jedi Exile, whether the Exile is light or dark.
Sometimes used as another name for Form VII itself, Vaapad is in fact a "sub" form of Juyo. Standard Juyo contains sleek, fast movements with strong strikes, whereas Mace Windu's specialized Vaapad focuses the use of the Force and emotion to fuel attacks (which explains why Sora and Depa both fell to the dark side in using it, and explains why Mace Windu decided to attempt to kill Darth Sidious without letting him stand trial) normally used in Juyo. Regular Juyo can be mastered (or at least "sub-mastered") much more easily than Vaapad, but Juyo can never truly be used to its full extent unless training in Vaapad is taken. Standard Juyo is not as powerful as Vaapad, but lessens the risk of falling to the dark side.
Intrepid, somewhat direct movements are used in combination with very advanced techniques involving Force-powered jumps and motions. Form VII does not appear as fancy as Form IV, but the technical details of it use very open movements resulting in a very unpredictable battle style. The staccato swings and flow of the form make it seem as if the attacks are not linked—but in reality, it is merely confusing the opponent.
Form VII demands the emotional and physical intensity of Form V, but it much more effectively controls it (if mastered). Form VII, when fully mastered, results in extraordinary power.
However, Vaapad borders on the edge of using the dark side, as it channels one's anger and darkness into the attack—it may be related to japanese shinkengata. Only Windu's mastery and concentration of the light side prevents him from succumbing, which is why Vaapad is rarely practiced and very dangerous. As mentioned above, the only two other known practitioners of Vaapad, Sora Bulq and Depa Billaba, both fell to the dark side of the Force.

She was the Hand of the Emperor. She eventually was turned to the Light Side and married Luke (lucky guy). She even helped Luke turn back from the Dark side after he failed his mission to "understand" it to defeat it.
And she is hot

7) Is the new hope that sparks the chosen one to bring balance

Sidious...by far. Not just in combat, but in cunning and intelligence. Only mistake ever made was to trust his apprentice.

My absolute favorite jedi since seeing all the movies is Obi-Wan. I had liked Anakin, Windu, and Darth Maul before, but they all were lacking what I consider the fundamental core of what it means to be Jedi. Only Yoda and Obi-Wan had a completeness to them. They were logical and yet passionate. They were wise and kind. They also kicked serious booty too.
