True, see I did have a point. However I'll admit I did just use thatas an arguement as towhy what this CSR did may be considered fair.

As far as safehouses though, if you want my HONEST opinion, there should be no safe haven for Jedi anywhere. If you want to be "safe", invest some skillpoints into cloaking instead of having a FOTM "pwnzor" template and then just running to a place that's safe (even though it really shouldn't be) whenever you start losing.

As far as Roleplay - If you are an"ImperialJedi"you should'nt evenbe able to go near an Imperial NPC without getting blasted at. If you agree that BH's shouldn't attack same-faction (even with a good RPstory as to how they get away with it - such as they are a spy) thne you'd also have to agree that any Imperial will fire on any Jedion sight.

The problem with that is every person deserves a place they can chill out and be safe when reallife issues intrude. I do need logout/eat/go to the bathroom/deal with situations that arise occasionally. Be honest with yourself, aren't there enough situations where jedi act stupid and open themselves to a attack and have no easy escape route? Dueling in Mining Outpost/Fighting overt in big battles/fighting large mobs in dungeons. You cannot take away a characters right to have someplace to be safe.

Very simple answer to that one. Just add a factional system like neutral pilots have in space.

In my eyes, it's still training NPC's, which is considered against the rules. I don't know if that's considered an exploit or simply breaking the rules but in either case it is not allowed.

As I mentioned before, it's always been easier for Jedi to train BH's into a mob, in fact I read a post about it the other day where a cloaked Jedi stayed cloaked while running a BH through mob after mob. The problem is that BH's have to follow Jedi wherever they go if they even want a *chance* at all of completing their mission. Otherwise they're just wasting their time and as always are running the risk of dying to the Jedi even *if* they manage to catch up.

You go into a factional base and it's no different. It's not just a safe house like a small house you put somewhere, it's defended by NPC's and the only way to get to you is to go through those NPC's, which is pretty much the same as walking through a group of NPC's and then running past them to force aggro on another player.

(Yes I know BH's are capable of training NPC's also but I believe it's easier for the Jedi to do so as the BH needs to follow the Jedi. The Jedi never has to follow the BH as they can just force run away without going in the direction of any NPC train.)

Wouldn't this be considered one of the before mentioned attempts to push players towards a faction?

Also remember your the one hunting the Jedi. He didn't asking to be hunted so should it be completely fair in this aspect?

Yea it is against the rules of SOE for a CSR to interfere with gameplay . Especially PVP. That is very wrong .

I don't recall it being called a "right" by SOEmyself. If you don't want to be attacked, you can always logout. Even as it is, you can't just quit playing instantly and do something IRL without worrying about a BH, you'd have to drop a small house etc. There is no instant escape except risking dying by /quitting or you could /logout though I'm not sure if BH's are still able to LD kill when you use the 30-second logout (which I think kinda stinks honestly).

Certainly Jedi need to be able to leave the game without fear of losing XP every time they leave their computer, but it should never stop a BH from doing their mission. An example of such a system would be a 30-second warm-up or 1-minute warm-up action that would form a protective bubble around you for 5 minutes whenever you had diarehha or whatever. After you use it once, you'll be unable to use it for say3 or5 hours, maybe even 24 hours depending on what all this skill is like. Then if the BH shows up and you fail to return to your computerafter taking care of business, it's fair game.

What I'm tired of is taking a mission on a Jedi and being 100% incapable of beating it with the capabilities I'm given. I'm not a BH out to grief Jedi so I don't mind if they take XP loss out of BH missions, but there does have to be a limit on Jedi all the same whether it's driven by BH or not.

I think the only reasons SOE puts the XP loss on BH missionsis because:

a) It puts hate on the BH's causing players to focus on them instead of SOE where the real problems with the Jedi started.

b) Some BH's like to grief and it satisfies them, encouraging them to stay subscribed longer. (not sure how accurate that one is).

I think you are putting undue emphasis on a BHs right to hunt Jedi. You take what you can get. After all you are the only class that has a first strike ability to hunt another profession.

I'm confused at what you're saying here, if I knew PCs would trainNPCs onto me upon joining a faction I would probably stay Neutral. I think leading the BH to an NPC-guarded faction basefits as training NPCs and if you disagree, that's fine.

The fact that you can't enter the structure unless you open yourself to NPC attacks (NPCs which only attack you and never the Jedi)is enough for me to choose this opinion.

I see nothing wrong with training npcs, Im a old player and remember when it was much much worse then it is now. I've been subjected to this too and I won't complain when it happens to me. Being combatant has its weakness's and its perks. You can stab with the sword but it can also cut you.

I'm an older player and I always thought training NPCs was cheesy and if something is seriously wrong about the game I won't limit myself to sitting on my butt and putting up with it. Training is against the rules last I heard and anyone caught doing it can be stopped, banned, etc. Just so you know in case you were planning on some trainning

If you call me sitting in a factional base and you having to fight past the base npcs training then I am guilty as charged. Nothing is going to make me think this is wrong. This what I'd like to see happen for neutral BHs. Say your neutral, ok these npcs wont attack you as you head down into the base. As soon as you open fire on me you are tagged with a factional TEF. You are then treated as a enemy combatant by the base and the npcs begin to attack you. You have a advantage because you reached me but I can run out of the base which will allow the npcs to attack you. So again if this is training I think its ok.

I have been grinding my jedi for a month now and have yet to get my first visit from the wonderful bh's that are all over Bloodfin. I have been careful to try to not gain any vis, but I know that I have on accident, but still no visits. It makes me wonder exactly what did they do to get on the terms in the first place. If she was combatant, then she was getting vis from opposite faction npc's who would attack her on sight. She would also show red to any other sf that got near her. It almost sounds to me that she was asking to get on the terms and get a visit. So flame away, you can stay off the terms till you are ready, and she must have thought she was ready, but that xp loss seems real low. Just my two cents and flame me away.

Wait until the opposite faction's jedi see you grinding, cloak and stand around while you attack. Suddently you're on the terms without having done anything to deserve it. There are also some quests that require a jedi to use what skills they do have (can anyone say CL 80 with NO skills?). There are a lot of issues in game that don't equate to AFK grinding the Rryatt Trail or dueling in Theed, but ALL are treated exactly the same way.

A CSR doing this is disgraceful. There has NEVER been an official statement calling this an exploit, and the BH COULD have either been combatant while hunting (after all, being combatant gives the jedi the risk of getting attacked by NPCs of the other faction WHILE the BH attacks, should this mean that a CSR should move the jedi to safety away from the BH?) and therefore entered the base.

How about if the BH actually makes use of their BRAIN, follows the jedi at a distance and decides upon a SMART time to attack? This is just plain stupidity on the BHs part if they attack near a jedi's own faction base then complain when it is used. If the jedi doesn't stray too far from the base? (I'm not sure how since there can't be much to grind there without going back to reload missions...) Well, the terms are just STOCK full of other jedi that aren't near that base. Complain that this is wasting time? Well, WHAT DO YOU THINK THAT THE BH IS DOING FOR THE JEDI?

These arguments just make absolutely no sense...
