Let's put it this simply: if you think it is fine for Jedi to run into bases to hide from bounty hunters, then do not even complain about a bounty hunter on the same faction as you are when they hunt you. I do not think it is right to be able to run into a faciton base from a bounty hunter, a smart bounty hunter however will counter that problem so blame the faction base hiding Jedi for having same faction bounty hunters. I have been hunted by about 6 Imperial bounty hunters lately and I am Imperial.

At the BH's request, the CSR Moves the padawan out of the base to where the BH is. . . she dies and loses 300k jedi xp...

I dont complain to the hunters themselves, I do alert my friends that this hunter does this and think a factional penalty should apply.

If CSR ever decided how to spend my $15 this month by de-valuing my hours put into Jedi xp... well let's just say itsn't it legal to sue over anything near $20 in this country? Not that I would - I'm not that kind of person... but there is already forced PvP for Jedi... why in the world would that CSR force it any further? Running into a base is a perk of being in a faction - and if I were a Jedi in RL the first place I'd run is a safe stronghold of my allies...for instance. People who think it's an exploit have their heads too far up the game's arse and need to think about practicality and realism too - not just thier ingame money and bragging rights.

10%? 20%? 100%?

The bounty system exists for a reason, if you want to be 100% safe from BH's, then there would onlybe NPC bounties.

If you want to have 50 NPC's help you against a BH, then there has to be balance where BH's can use 50 NPC's against you, just as effectively. You don't chase the BH so the BH can't train NPCs onto you, it's always been easier for a Jedi to get NPCs to attack a BH, and this is no different. All you are doing is trying to train factional NPCs onto the bounty hunter, but if the bounty hunter is covert or neutral, for that matter, then he has no option of killing you.

Yes that's right, what about the NEUTRAL BOUNTY HUNTERS, seriously you guys don't think much through do you?

The problem isn't being safe all the time - it's that there's no chance for retribution and no reward for winning...some places have to be safe bro - no BH has the power to find his marks 100% of the time either - that would be like giving Jedi 100% saber block or something else that there was no chance of failing in.

Neutral Bounty Hunters? SOE has stated that they don't intend Neutrals to remain Neutrals for long - that the game makes you want to choose a side.

That the game makes you want to choose a side huh? I was neutral for a very long time as a BH, and I would still be if it weren't for my guild. The game didn't do anything, simply the people I play with want me to be a Rebel, so I am, for now. I also don't hunt Rebels currently, but I would if it weren't for my guild. When I was unguilded, I killed anything I wanted to, and I plan to go Neutral again and do the same once again in not too long.

If all you have is that "well the game might make you want to choose a faction", then you obviously aren't thinking about devoted Neutral players. Some of us don't care about the messed-up GCW, and neutral is just fine for bounty hunting because it's less of a hassle with the very opinionated people who don't want you killing "same-faction-jedi".

There is always gonna be some reason as to why jedi shouldnt escape into some area from BHs, not much sense to argue it with em anymore. Ill stick to responding to Jedi in the future.

( To quoted: ) I'm not asking you to argue, but is the reason you didn't reply because you know I'm right?

( To whoever: ) NeutralBH's have no way of getting to the Jedi, so what are they supposed to do? Join a faction? Just so they can hunt their Jedi mark? If that sounds fair to you you've been a Jedi too long.

wasn't getting help, its techincally an exploit to run into a faction base since BH TEF has nothing to do with Faction. Jedi shouldn't even be allowed in them once engaged with a BH

It is not an exploit since faction bases are not private structures. BH TEFs only prevent people from entering private structure, places where a BH cannot follow.
A BH can follow in a faction base if he either is same faction or fights the NPCs - neutral BHs will have a problem, though.

Very simple answer to that one. Just add a factional system like neutral pilots have in space.

True, see I did have a point. However I'll admit I did just use thatas an arguement as towhy what this CSR did may be considered fair.

As far as safehouses though, if you want my HONEST opinion, there should be no safe haven for Jedi anywhere. If you want to be "safe", invest some skillpoints into cloaking instead of having a FOTM "pwnzor" template and then just running to a place that's safe (even though it really shouldn't be) whenever you start losing.

As far as Roleplay - If you are an"ImperialJedi"you should'nt evenbe able to go near an Imperial NPC without getting blasted at. If you agree that BH's shouldn't attack same-faction (even with a good RPstory as to how they get away with it - such as they are a spy) thne you'd also have to agree that any Imperial will fire on any Jedion sight.

wow. lots of responses to this thread. . .

I think the best point i heard is that the base is part of a sub-game really...the GCW. If I am RP (which i do not but for sake of arguement) and I am "base commander" and sitting in my desk in the back of the base, why should i be forced to fight a BH? If he wants me, let him come get me! He has the SAME ability as I do to enter the base; he just needs to fight off NPCs.

Where does it end? I can get positive NS "faction" and be in the NS stronghold co-existing with the 'sisters . . . if a BH wants me, let him come get me. He MAY or MAY NOT have poisitve NS faction...perhaps the NPCs will beat him before he gets to me. Should i be ejected from the stronghold to make it easier?

Same goes for kunga stronghold, mokk, etc. . . where does it end? What about the warren? the weapons dev facitliy? the IMP friggin outpost on Dantooine! Should IMPS be ejected from the walls so I dont need to deal with the STs?
