Thread: CSR moves padawan outside of faction base so she can be attacked

Wait until the opposite faction's jedi see you grinding, cloak and stand around while you attack. Suddently you're on the terms without having done anything to deserve it. There are also some quests that require a jedi to use what skills they do have (can anyone say CL 80 with NO skills?). There are a lot of issues in game that don't equate to AFK grinding the Rryatt Trail or dueling in Theed, but ALL are treated exactly the same way.
A CSR doing this is disgraceful. There has NEVER been an official statement calling this an exploit, and the BH COULD have either been combatant while hunting (after all, being combatant gives the jedi the risk of getting attacked by NPCs of the other faction WHILE the BH attacks, should this mean that a CSR should move the jedi to safety away from the BH?) and therefore entered the base.
How about if the BH actually makes use of their BRAIN, follows the jedi at a distance and decides upon a SMART time to attack? This is just plain stupidity on the BHs part if they attack near a jedi's own faction base then complain when it is used. If the jedi doesn't stray too far from the base? (I'm not sure how since there can't be much to grind there without going back to reload missions...) Well, the terms are just STOCK full of other jedi that aren't near that base. Complain that this is wasting time? Well, WHAT DO YOU THINK THAT THE BH IS DOING FOR THE JEDI?
These arguments just make absolutely no sense...
They do but I think you may be a bit close-minded.
First of all Jedi tend to run to the base *after* the BH PvP has started. That means on any given planet all they have to do is find a base, and as many planets as there are and as many bases per planet, that can't be too hard.
Also you probably didn't notice my posts on Neutral BHs. If a BH has to change faction just to finish their mission then I say the game is messed up.
Not entering the base sucks enough, but do you really expect a player to enter a base withsay around 50 NPC's attacking himas well as being attacked by the Jedi? So you really think entering the base is an option for the BH?
Once again I say if you're a Jedi and you want to run away, invest in force cloak. Then at least it takes skill points to get away. Running into an area like a faction base or small house takes no skill whatsoever, no RL skill and no IG skill. A CL 10 scout can do that.
If the CSR thought it was an exploit, then he had every reason to believe he was doing the right thing.
If someone exploits and is caught this is exactly the kind of thing I want to see happen, if not them getting their account instantly banned. The reason for this is every other player is kept from taking advantage of the exploits for fear of being banned, so that fear hs to be properly enforced by banning the perpetrators.
However since we saw no official statement on this it's easy to assume it wasn't an exploit and maybe the CSR should be fired for jumping the gun.
However if it is, it isequally easy to assume this is an exploit. But since they didn't release an official annoucement about that then the CSR againwas probablyright to do it.
Since we saw no "official announcement" on any of this, everything in this entire thread is pointless and mere speculation and assumptions. Really I don't know why I'm wasting my time here other than I'm in pretty bad shape and don't think I could really play effectively right now.
Just thought you should know.
Smart BH
I would question the csr intent though as I would consider a base the same as a safe house and a Jedi should not be punished for that. The Jedi could of saved a lot of grief byjust logging but probably felt safe inside the base and that the BH would drop mission which didnt happen. I do think if thisdid happen theway the post describes that thejedi should send a harrassment in game and have that csr investigated.

valid question. She grinds on Dantooine with other jedi. That is how she got vis. We full templates help our padawan but while doing so, we get BH visits. The BHs do not adhere to the 32m rule when they attack a mark

I know I will probably get flamed for this, but what did the jedi do to get vis in the first place? You have to get vis to get on the terms, so therefore she wasnt just given vis for no reason. I have been grinding my jedi for a month now and have yet to get my first visit from the wonderful bh's that are all over Bloodfin. I have been careful to try to not gain any vis, but I know that I have on accident, but still no visits. It makes me wonder exactly what did they do to get on the terms in the first place. If she was combatant, then she was getting vis from opposite faction npc's who would attack her on sight. She would also show red to any other sf that got near her. It almost sounds to me that she was asking to get on the terms and get a visit. So flame away, you can stay off the terms till you are ready, and she must have thought she was ready, but that xp loss seems real low. Just my two cents and flame me away.
so the padawan grinding with us get a little bit of vis each time a BH comes to try me or another full temp. It adds up over time.
Not to mention all the level 10 "got a spot in your group plzplzplz" guys who just can't f*ck off if you tell them to do so.
Wow, what a jackass. Nice way to get the newbs to start hating Jedi right off the bat.

A CSR doing that is criminal
If this wasn't one of the lowest grades of stupid I've heard, it would be a goddamn riot.

If this happened to me I would be on the phone with customer service screaming my lungs out. If nothing was done I would be canceling my account. You cannot discriminate against a certain class of player like that. What would the BH have throught if the CSR had teleported him into the faction base and changed his status to combatant.Message Edited by Cendoth on 09-11-2005 04:44 PM
Let me know if this happens, I will laugh at you as hard as the person on the phone will. Should be a blast.
