I honestly think i consider myself a roleplayer, hell havent played my Jed in 2 moths so im living real Star Wars and what its like to be the hunted though its because im the hole that i dont play anymore,

Fact is, i like Role-playing more and have ranted at the devs who knows how many times because they dont know anything about real Jedi.

I hate Pvp and would only like PvE, id only PvP if i could /assist some1 like another Jedi who would need my help then id be off in

my caveaway thinking of the real ways of the Force, how Meditatae on the Force but SOE doesnt comprehend the reality of Jedi like some of us who really know Jedi up to 25,000yrs back do,

Im also very disabled and have bad Heart and Neurological problem so i Dont Have the Luxury as so many others to grind.

When it comes down to it the Role-playing-games kicks this this 1s arse big time, I just wish ppl in my area were still playing even though id be the oldest, heh..

Usually only the best leave the game......

Flawless,

Once again, I'll reiterate... I don't have any problem with Jedi needing to have combat skills. We can all agree that every Jedi needs to know his way around a lightsaber.

The problems arise when you make it harder for one playstyle to achieve something than another playstyle.

The problems arise when you make the endgame cater to one playstyle at the total exclusion of another.

The problems arise when you force people to play in a certain way to attain something that should be available to all playstyles.

By the way... I just got more information that makes the situation better or worse, depending upon how you look at it.

I was still working with the assumption that opening my FS would give me another character slot on the same account. Apparently I'm wrong about that.

Which is good in a way, because I DO have an alternate account and would not have to destroy my main character to get my Jedi character.

HOWEVER, that also means that anyone else who is in my position would have to buy an extra account to be able to play a Jedi.

And it doesn't change a thing about having to endure enforced PvP to get Jedi Master.

agree with your post... Today is my last day in SWG (as I canceled both of my accounts and today is the last active day... although I haven't logged on in about a month). Just remember, this game is NOT star wars... don't try to convince yourself that it is. This game is not even close.

I played for over a year, and when they purge my account, they'll purge my jedi with it. I tried to roleplay my jedi in hiding. Just remember, the ones doing it correctly, you will never meet (because you'll never actually know they're a jedi).

good luck to you... just remember, SOE only speaks the language of money, so you have to talk to them with your wallet. I wasted a lot of time before I finally did that.

As I mentioned in the initial post, this whole thread is a "pre-farewell" thread. I'm not the kind of person to sit in the sand and wail "I'M LEAVING!" as a dramatic prop. I'm gone at least until JtL.

I'm pretty sure that if the shoe were on the other foot, Fearless, and being Jedi was strictly RP only you'd be a little annoyed too.

If I want it bad enough, I'll take it if I please(not the quest, just a good attitude).

But they (Jedi) are not.

Jackal,

Your post illustrates my point perfectly. The Devs have made Jedi into a combat profession rather than as a moral calling. What most people are doing in the game has absolutely nothing to do with being Jedi except that they can use a lightsaber and wear Jedi robes. Very little they do is consistent with the code of the Jedi. No, it's not your fault for playing the Jedi as the Devs created it. That's the problem, though.

Lets see, what makes SWG different than other jedi games? Nothing. Have you played any other jedi game out there. You will find that in 99% of the jedi games out there you are fighting in all of them right from the begining. So what makes SWG different? Well for starters, you as a non combatant can go up the fs trees, just bring a combat friend to help. And in SWG there you will have to do combat one way or another.

So just do what you can, but having a jedi doing no combat will be impossible. Just learn to fight or dont play at all. And to let you know, the devs never said that becoming a jedi would be easy, you are going to have to earn a jedi.

i will never understand why ppl who who claim they only roleplay and don't want to fight and pvp want to play jedi in swg?

i could have miss something, but as far as i can see jedi is all about fighting. i've never seen any other jedi games where jedi is not about fighting either. so what the hell let ppl think they don't need to fight for playing jedi?

i guess they like to have an afk macro to skill your jedi as well, for they don't want to fight. or lets skill our jedi by bubbling bs the whole day, the thing they call roleplay.
